That man snorted but said nothing.

Ella Adams took the hair with her hand, examined it carefully, and looked at the hair on the man’s head. She handed the hair to the restaurant manager beside her, saying, "Keep this hair for later. When the police arrive, hand this hair to them and say someone put their own hair on the plate to extort money."

After a pause, Ella glanced at the man kneeling on the ground and continued, "Hair grows on human bodies. When it’s taken to the Public Security Department, a simple test will reveal the truth."

"Yes, CEO Adams."

The man kneeling on the ground suddenly looked a bit uneasy.

Ella smiled and nodded at the restaurant manager, then looked at the man on the ground and said, "You don’t need to apologize to me, nor do I need your apology. Since you know the just way to handle this is by getting beaten, our hotel will also handle such incidents justly."

The man on the ground, experienced in such scams and always victorious, found himself beaten by a young woman for the first time. He moved his lips, lost his defiance, and spoke in a negotiable tone, "Look, I’ve been beaten up. I’ll apologize to you now and promise never to make trouble in your hotel again. Can we call it even?"

Ella Adams hesitated for a moment, "What about the police who have already been called..."

"I’ll call them. I’ll call them right now and say it was a false alarm." The man was saying as he reached out his arm, picked up his mobile phone and started dialing.

Ella let out a soft laugh, didn’t even look at Elijah Smith, turned around, and told the restaurant manager, "Calculate how much he spent on this meal, let him pay the bill, and ask him to leave now."

"Yes, CEO Adams."

Ella stopped talking, simply walked out of the restaurant in her high heels, taking rhythmic strides.

As Ella left, Elijah Smith’s grip on the man also loosened.

The restaurant manager thought that Elijah Smith was a good-hearted man who wasn’t afraid to help others, so he specially expressed his gratitude.

Elijah Smith didn’t say anything, he just followed her out of the restaurant quickly.

As Elijah came out, the elevator door closed. Through the small gap, he saw Ella standing quietly in the private elevator.

He didn’t go in but just stood outside the elevator, looking up at the red numbers above, until the elevator stopped on the twenty-third floor. Then he took another elevator up to the same floor.

When Elijah Smith came out of the elevator, he saw Ella Adams walking to the end of the hall, swiping her card and entering a presidential suite.

The hotel corridor was exceptionally quiet. Red carpets covered the entire hallway, muffling footsteps. Elijah slowly walked towards the room where Ella Adams stayed, looking at the closed red solid wood door in front of him. Swallowing his saliva, he looked up at the gold ceiling light above him. He slowly reached into his pocket and found a cigarette, but couldn’t find a lighter.

A waiter happened to pass by, pushing a cart with a lidded white porcelain cup and a card that read "soy milk" beside it. The cart stopped in front of Ella Adams’s room.

Seeing the cigarette in Elijah’s hand, the waiter thought he was about to smoke and kindly reminded him, "Sir, I’m sorry, but smoking is not allowed here."

Elijah nodded and tried to put the cigarette back in his pocket. He hesitated for a moment, then threw it into a trash can nearby. He then looked at the waiter ringing the doorbell and asked, "What’s the capacity of the cup used for the soy milk?"
