Chapter 728: Chapter 746: Beautiful and Charming Date (9)

The crystal glass, solid as it was, didn’t shatter but made a crisp sound as it fell to the ground before splitting into two.

"What the hell is happening? Why has it suddenly turned violent?"

"We meet once in a century, why is it so awkward?"

"Stop it, sit down, sit down..."

Elijah Smith, as if he didn’t hear his old classmates’ words, his eyes burning red, stared at the man opposite. He looked like he had a deep-seated hatred. Raising his hand, he undid his tie, and pounced like a razor-sharp leopard. Then he caught the man’s hair and aimed at his weak spots.

He was ruthless with his strikes, showing no mercy. After a few punches, thick fresh blood had smeared onto his fists.

The man he was beating was cursing furiously underneath him.

The classmates who saw this scene didn’t think twice before rushing over to pry Elijah Smith from the man.

Although six or seven people intervened, Elijah Smith, out of his mind with rage, was much stronger than any of them.

"Stop it, Elijah! If you keep going, you’ll kill him!"

Christopher Bell grabbed Elijah Smith’s wrist and pulled him back with all his might. Someone grabbed Elijah Smith around the waist and forcibly dragged him off the man. Elijah Smith raised his foot and relentlessly kicked at the man. His final kick landed mercilessly on the man’s crotch.

The man screamed in anguish, covering his crotch and rolling on the floor. Then, with red eyes and a bruised face, he stood up with the help of others, pointing at Elijah Smith and cursing, "Elijah Smith, I won’t let this slide. I’m calling the cops right now. You’re not above the law. You assaulted someone. Don’t you realize you have a criminal record? It wouldn’t be hard for me to make you pay."

Elijah Smith’s eyes were like flames, turning blood red, he charged at the man again.

The man stepped backward in fear, but thankfully Christopher Bell reacted quickly, blocking Elijah Smith. He then pushed Elijah to the restroom, asking him to wash off the blood on his face and hands before he went back to the private booth.

Christopher Bell took a stack of cash out of his bag, and handed it to the man Elijah Smith had just beaten, saying, "Elijah always has this temper, bear with it."

"I don’t want your fucking money. I am calling the police!" The man yelled, but paused, and ended up taking the money from Christopher Bell. He continued complaining, "What a tough guy, so what he’s been to jail!"

Christopher Bell grinned, patted the man on the shoulder, but stayed silent. He just waved to everyone and said, "I’ll leave first. I have paid the bill. You guys continue having fun."

After saying that, Christopher Bell walked out.

When he arrived in the restroom, he could not see Elijah Smith. He quickly left the ’Magnificent’ and saw Elijah Smith’s car parked by the road, the hazard lights flashing.

Christopher Bell walked quickly toward the car. The window was open, and music was playing from within, "Suddenly, I miss you so much, wherever you are, whether you are happy or distressed... Suddenly, I miss you, suddenly sharp memories, suddenly blurred eyes..."

His movements halted. He stood outside the car, looking at Elijah Smith half-lying in the reclined car seat. The man covered his eyes with one hand, and with the other, held a cigarette that emitted a faint plume of smoke.

It might have been an illusion, but Christopher Bell saw an indescribable sadness emanating from Elijah Smith.

He stood outside for a while and then, clearly through the street light, he saw teardrops rolling down from Elijah Smith’s eyes, splashing onto the ground.
