Chapter 720: Chapter 738: Beautiful and Charming Date (1)
Percy’s words instantly lit up George Vincent’s eyes, as if he instantly understood something. He casually thanked Percy, then asked again, "So at the auction, was everything intentional?"
After a moment of silence, Percy felt a twinge of jealousy. He finally nodded and said: "Of course."
After a moment, George thanked him again.
This time Percy didn’t say anything, he just stood up and left.
The next second, George stood up, headed straight to his father’s location, and slapped his mobile phone onto the table in front of Robert Vincent.
Robert and his son George were in a state of complete discord. So Robert frowned, glanced at his son, picked up the mobile phone and took one look. Just one look, and his expression immediately became grave. Then his fingers began to swipe across the mobile phone screen. By the end, Robert’s face turned iron blue. He threw the mobile phone harshly onto the table, looked at George, and asked, "Where did these photos come from?"
"You ask me about the temptress you’re involved with? As someone who has been intimate with her, you probably know what kind of a person she is better than I do."
George’s words made it seem as though smoke was coming out of Robert’s head.
Robert, pointing at George and just about to explode, then Evelyn Osbert came over with a languid stride. Behind her were the staff members of the auction. "Robert?" she asked.
Robert glanced at Evelyn, lowered the hand pointing at George, but didn’t say anything.
Robert and his son George often argued in front of Evelyn. So, Evelyn gently stood in front of Robert and said, "Robert, talk to George properly, don’t always fight like this, there are so many people watching."
George laughed mockingly, as if he had heard a humorous joke. He looked at Robert and said, "I know, you despise my mother, you want to marry a woman younger than your own son. If you truly have no feelings left for my mother and want to go after new desires, I don’t mind. But I would still advise you to be careful when choosing a wife. Don’t bring home any old trash. Thinking you’ve struck gold but in the eyes of others, it’s a joke. People are definitely laughing, ’Are Robert Vincent’s standards so low?’"
After George finished speaking, he looked venomously at Evelyn whose face had turned particularly unpleasant because of his words, then he walked off.
"Robert ... it’s okay, take your time with these things." Struggling to suppress the anger from George’s insult, Evelyn spoke gently to Robert.
Robert said nothing.
Evelyn took his silence as a sign of his discontent with his son, smiled, and continued: "Robert, it’s okay, don’t be angry..."
Only then did Robert slowly turn around, glanced at the auction staff behind Evelyn, and asked: "What’s the matter?"
"The money for the jade seal may need to be paid." Evelyn said.
Just as Percy had suspected, thinking of the risqué photos of Evelyn that he’d just seen, and remembering George’s words, along with the outrageous amount of 200 million that Evelyn had spent, Robert’s expression instantly grew colder.
When he divorced his first wife, he was remorseful, his tone always gentle, even a bit subservient.
However, now facing this young woman who he has been entangled with for less than a year, his feelings were instantly replaced with contempt.
