Chapter 646: Chapter 664: The Cute Baby’s Smart Counterattack (7)

"Mr. Stanton told me that it wasn’t a pity, everything he did for you was never for the sake of receiving anything from you."

"Mr. Stanton also told me that in one’s lifetime, there will always be someone who would make you disregard gain or loss and rewards, someone to whom you would willingly devote everything."

When I noticed it, I thought Mr. Stanton was really good towards Miss Isabel. But as I counted the ways, I realized just how good Mr. Stanton was to Miss Isabel.

How many men in the world, would go so unnoticed in doing so much for a woman?

Tony’s voice became somewhat hoarse, "Mr. Stanton, in everything he does, he always considers you. His love for you is not just expressed through sweet words and love confessions but in the things, he does for you behind your back. Those actions, thousands of times more profound and heartfelt than any words, and even though he has always loved you with a patient and understanding stance... But you... have never shown him compassion. You tell me, how can he not be angry?"

"Even I can imagine how desperate Mr. Stanton must have been when he found out you were going to turn yourself in... When you recklessly give up on him so cruelly, and yet do you not know that despite Mr. Stanton appears to have the world at his feet, he actually only desires you."

"You’ve hurt the one he loves so much, how can he not be angry?"

"People are made of flesh and blood too. I have no other requests, I just hope that Miss Isabel can spare some concern for Mr. Stanton."

"As long as you say it, whatever you want, or want to do, Mr. Stanton will fulfill it for you. I beg you, Miss Isabel, for Mr. Stanton, this time, give in... You can lose Mr. Stanton, but he cannot lose you."

Tony felt unexpectedly disappointed. He paused, took a deep breath, then continued, "Mr. Stanton stayed in Bellshire for so many years, not for any other reason, but to wait for you to return."

"Guarding an empty city, waiting for a former lover..."

Isabel suddenly felt helpless. Only now she knows, what that man had done for her was way more than she had imagined.

He didn’t just give her love, he also gave her understanding, tolerance, and respect.

From the beginning to the end, she thought that the gap between them made him unreachable. But that man had always loved her as an equal.

She kept thinking that his world was out of her reach, unaware that, long ago, he had entered her world to love her.

Unexpectedly, Isabel’s eyes turned red. Facing Tony’s anger and blame, she held no anger or resentment.

Tony watched Isabel in silence for a long time, his voice returned to its usual calm, "Maybe after all I said, I still can’t change your resolution. To me, I just don’t want Mr. Stanton to do anything foolish for you, nor do I want anything to happen to you. I’m not concerned about you, my only concern is Mr. Stanton."

The room fell into silence once again.

After a long while, Tony called out Isabel’s name, his expression complicated, "Miss Isabel, I’ve said what I needed to. What you decide to do next is your choice."

"Before you decide what to do, Miss Isabel, I’d like to give you an address. Go there and see for yourself, then make your decision."

After saying this, Tony rose to his feet, found a pen and a piece of paper in the room, and jotted down an address before handing it to Isabel.

Tony looked at Isabel briefly without further word, then silently turned around and walked out of the bedroom.

The room fell into complete silence. Isabel sat in the same position on the sofa as before, staying still for a long, long while.

She stared blankly at an empty spot in the room, every word Tony said looping in her mind.
