Percy then got up, left the bedroom, picked up the mobile phone, and saw that the incoming call was from Raymond Thompson’s school. Accepting the call, he re-entered the bedroom.

"Yes, I am Raymond’s father."

Percy closed the bedroom door; he glanced at Isabel, who was drinking water, replying to the phone call. He approached her, took the empty glass from her hand, and asked the person on the phone, "What’s the matter?"

"Mr. Stanton, I regret to inform you that there has been an accident involving Raymond at school. Our school has called an ambulance, and he is being sent to the nearest People’s Hospital."

Percy frowned, his tone becoming colder, "What exactly happened? How is Raymond now?"

"Raymond and a classmate had an argument, which escalated into a fight. Raymond was accidentally pushed down the staircase by the classmate, hitting his head on the ground. The doctor who arrived with the ambulance says Raymond’s situation is not optimistic. We don’t dare make any conclusions... so, it is best to wait for your arrival at the hospital for a more detailed understanding."

The brief explanation on the other end of the line turned Percy’s face pale. He did not say anything else, hung up the phone quickly, and placed the water glass casually on the nearby table. He then picked up the clothes scattered on the floor, hurriedly putting them on.

His movements were so frantic that he struggled to pull his pants up.

Isabel had already sat up on the bed and followed Percy as he got dressed, asking, "What happened to Raymond?"

"He was injured at school," said Percy as he tightened his waistband.

"Is the situation serious?" Isabel’s eyes were filled with worry. After a pause, she said, "I’ll go with you."

Percy sped through red lights all the way to the entrance of the hospital, not even bothering to find a parking space. He parked the car directly in front of the main entrance, then jumped out and closed the car door forcefully behind him.

Isabel unbuckled her seatbelt and hurried out of the car, following Percy quickly.

It was then that Percy raised his hand, pressed the car keys, and the luxury car behind him flashed its lights, locking itself.

Raymond’s head teacher was already waiting at the entrance. Upon seeing Percy, the teacher hurriedly greeted him, "Mr. Stanton."
