Chapter 582: Chapter 598: There’s No Place in Life Where We Can’t Meet Each Other (1)

Raymond Thompson closed his mouth, feeling somewhat wronged. What’s wrong with being a kid? Even children have rights.

There was silence in the car for a moment before Percy Stanton, quite out of the blue, spoke gently and softly to Raymond: "Raymond."

In Raymond’s memory, it was very rare for Percy to talk to him in this tone. This inexplicably made him nervous as he sat upright in the co-pilot seat, holding his breath and nodding at Percy with a serious expression.

Percy looked at his son’s nervous behavior, cursed silently in his heart but put up a smile on his face, and asked, "Raymond, do you really want a mother?"

Though Percy often made decisions without consulting Raymond,

And even more so, most of the time, Percy called the shots between them,

Raymond’s words during dinner made Percy feel that Raymond should have the right to voice his opinion on Percy’s decision to marry and take a wife.

After all, the woman he was going to marry would be Raymond’s mother.

Despite knowing deep down that if it wasn’t Isabel Smith, he would not marry another, Percy was sure of marrying her even if Raymond objected.

For a moment, Raymond didn’t catch Percy’s meaning. After a while, his eyes widened, and he looked at Percy and said, "Father, do you mean you want to find me a stepmother?"

Percy turned his face and nodded at Raymond.

Raymond’s little face suddenly turned serious, and he said fiercely, "Father, you’re not thinking of that woman who just called you to be my stepmother, are you? I won’t agree."

"She’s not nice to Sister Isabel at all. If you marry her, then in the future, if I marry Sister Isabel, our mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship will definitely be bad."

Although children can’t judge whether a person is good or bad, Raymond knew that if Evelyn Osbert really married his father and became his stepmother, he would definitely be mistreated.

What a mess... Percy frowned, feeling a headache coming on. He twisted his head to look at Raymond with some disgust and said, "Who said I’m going to marry that woman?"

"Then who are you going to marry?" Raymond sighed with relief.

Percy looked at his son’s clear, wide eyes through the rearview mirror and asked again, slowly, "Raymond, do you really like Sister Isabel?"

"Yes." Raymond nodded without hesitation, his face involuntarily blushing. Just as his face reddened halfway, he suddenly seemed to have thought of something and his expression turned serious and earnest. He looked at Percy with a guarded face and said, "Father, you can’t be thinking of marrying Sister Isabel, can you?"

Percy focused on driving and didn’t make any sound.

Raymond stared, seemingly angry, as he looked at Percy, snorting and panting, "Father, you’ve already crossed the line by kissing Sister Isabel, and now you actually want to marry her!"

Percy remained silent, calm, and composed.

Raymond suddenly became nervous. Despite always thinking that Isabel liked him and having no doubt that sometimes his father, Percy, was truly disappointing, in his heart, his father was an omnipotent God and a symbol of strength beyond his capability.

As Raymond compared himself to Percy in his mind, his face showed some unease, and he hesitantly said, "Father, I actually think that Sister Isabel doesn’t really like you that much."

Percy finally showed a change in expression as he snorted softly at his son.

Raymond was still quite afraid of Percy, so he glanced at him and then rolled his eyes, saying, "Father, I still think that Isabel and I are a better match."
