Chapter 567: Chapter 583: Engagement Banquet Without a Female Lead (6)

The first time she saw him was at a horse field in the Bellshire Suburbs; at that time, she only glanced at his face without leaving a deep impression of him.

The second time she saw him was at Redleaf Manor in Ravenwood City; at that time, she didn’t realize he was Percy Stanton’s son.

Sometimes, God favoured her. She had been thinking about how to get close to Percy Stanton when she met his son, who happened to be alone. She could take the opportunity to do him a favour by sending the young boy to Percy, thus increasing her chances of interacting with him.

As Evelyn Osbert thought about this, she smiled slightly and put on a kind expression, then walked towards Raymond Thompson.

Raymond waited for quite some time without seeing bus 356 coming, but a woman who looked about Sister Isabel’s age appeared in front of him instead.

It was only when Evelyn Osbert bent down, smiled kindly at Raymond and called him "Handsome Young Man" that he blinked and realized that he had seen her somewhere before.

It was that woman who had been unfriendly to Sister Isabel at Redleaf Manor last time!

Raymond’s eyes widened in sudden alertness as he looked cautiously at Evelyn Osbert, pursed his lips, and said nothing.

"Why are you here alone? Where’s your father?" Evelyn Osbert didn’t mind Raymond’s silence and softened her tone even more.

For children, distinguishing good people from bad ones is simple: those they like are good, and those they dislike are bad.

As for Evelyn Osbert, Raymond didn’t like her much.

So, in the face of her grinning expression, Raymond still remained silent, staring innocently and cutely at her, wondering what her purpose could be in speaking with him.

Evelyn Osbert raised her hand to pat Raymond’s little head, adopting an older sister’s demeanor and asking again, "What’s your name? Do you want your sister to take you to find your father?"

Raymond shook his head at Evelyn Osbert.

However, Evelyn Osbert reached out her hand, took Raymond’s little hand, and said, "Where do you live? Tell me, and I’ll take you home."

Raymond tried to pull his hand from Evelyn’s palm, but halfway through, he suddenly saw a mobile police car near the KFC in front of him. Raymond quickly lifted his head, looked sweetly at Evelyn, and said, "Thank you, big sister."

Evelyn Osbert’s face suddenly bloomed into a smile. She stood by the roadside, wanting to hail a taxi, but Raymond blinked and said softly, "Big sister, I want to have KFC."

Although Evelyn Osbert was eager to see Percy Stanton, it seemed that, for now, this little boy was her only way to meet with him. So even though Evelyn found Raymond slightly troublesome, she still smiled kindly and said, "Alright, sister will bring you to have some."

Many people were inside the KFC. While she and Raymond were lining up, he suddenly looked up and said, "Big sister, I want to go to the restroom."

Seeing that only one person was in front of her and thinking about taking Raymond to the restroom, Evelyn wondered how long it would take for them to get back.

Evelyn Osbert couldn’t help but think that Isabel Smith’s son was just as annoying as her.

However, she still smiled and said, "Wait until we buy the items, then your sister will take you there, okay?"

"Big sister, I can’t hold it anymore. I can go by myself."

Evelyn looked at Raymond’s distressed face and struggled for a moment before saying, "Alright, then you should go quickly, and when you come out of the restroom, come find me here."

Raymond obediently nodded his little head and ran in the direction of the restroom sign.

As Raymond’s figure disappeared at the restroom doorstep, the KFC saleslady kindly spoke to Evelyn Osbert, "Miss, what would you like to order?"
