In the end, she swallowed the water, but the pill stuck in her throat, causing Isabel to almost spit it out from the bitterness. However, she gritted her teeth and worked hard to swallow a mouthful of saliva to force it down.

"I’m sorry." Percy’s throat moved twice, and he handed Isabel two vitamins from the side. "Take these two to alleviate some of the damage."

Isabel didn’t refuse and lifted her head to swallow the medicine once more.

After she swallowed, Percy said: "I’m sorry."

After two straight apologies from Percy, Isabel felt uncomfortable in her heart. She slowly lay back on Bed, closed her eyes, and said, "It’s fine, Percy. I got to enjoy it anyway."

By the time they left Redleaf Manor and returned to Ravenwood City, it was already four o’clock in the afternoon. Percy dropped Isabel off at the Grand Hyatt Hotel before taking Raymond back to the Thompson Family Estate.

On the way back to the Thompson Family Estate, Percy received three phone calls. Two of them were from Tony. In the first call, he informed Percy that Terrence had been discharged from the hospital, and he had followed Percy’s instructions to take Terrence and his wife away. Tony had managed to coerce some information out of Terrence, which he recorded and sent to Percy’s computer. In the second call, Tony reported that they had already acquired 30% of Smith Corporation’s stocks in succession, but placed it under different names to avoid alerting anyone.

Isabel held 13% of the shares in her hands, which, when added up, equaled 43%. They only needed to figure out a way to obtain the shares held by George Vincent’s family. With over 60% of the company’s shares, Isabel would undoubtedly become the CEO of Smith Corporation.

The third phone call was from a landline in Ravenwood City, which turned out to be Charlotte Green. Percy didn’t even listen to her and immediately hung up.

Upon returning home, Percy took a bath before going online to open the file Tony sent him–an audio recording with Terrence’s and his wife’s voices.

"It wasn’t our intention to target Miss Isabel, but Sebastian Smith approached us at the time, offering us a high price of three million to help him set up a plot."

"His plan was for me to get close to Miss Isabel and for my wife to seize an opportunity to accuse Miss Isabel of having an affair with me.
