Chapter 517: Chapter 533 How long until you remember me? (8)

Just as Percy was feeling troubled about how to speak up, a laugh came over. Percy and Isabel looked up to see an old man looking at them, saying, "Don’t worry so much, it’s nothing. Just a swelling, applying some ice will do the trick."

Percy frowned, asking somewhat worriedly, "Really?"

Raymond tilted his head up, looking nervously at the old man.

The concerned expressions on Raymond and Percy’s faces, big and small, amused the old man, prompting him to chuckle again before saying, "Rest assured, young miss, your bone isn’t broken. I was an orthopedic doctor for many years, I can’t be tricked by this. One glance, and I know how serious it is."

As the old man spoke, he looked at Isabel: "Little miss, you’re really lucky. You’ve got two people here who are very anxious about you, what a nice family."

...

Not sure if it was the old man’s words or not, but as Isabel rode the cable car down the mountain, looking at Percy and Raymond inquiring "Does it hurt?" her heart warmed up instantly. The heart-wrenching pain she felt before seemed to miraculously lessen.

Looking at Raymond, Isabel couldn’t help but think of her own child. If her child had been found, he might have been the same age as Raymond, and maybe he would have been just as considerate and anxious when she was injured and in pain.

Isabel felt deeply moved, unable to resist holding Raymond’s hand.

When the cable car reached the ground, Percy carried Isabel out, walking a bit fast due to concern about her injured foot. Raymond had to follow at a trot.

Isabel turned her head, glanced at Raymond, and couldn’t help but say, "Percy, slow down, Raymond can’t keep up."

Percy turned his head, looked at his son and said, "Raymond, hurry up."

But his pace showed no signs of slowing down.

Isabel watched Raymond running with a flushed, sweaty face, and couldn’t help but slide down from Percy’s back to the ground.

Percy reluctantly paused, scooped up Isabel a little bit higher and then slowed down.

After catching up, Raymond urged Percy, "Father, hurry up, hurry up and carry Sister Isabel to the front to buy some ice at the rest stop!"

Suddenly, Isabel felt an indescribable heartache; the two were father and son and should be the closest people in the world. But one of them carried her without considering his son’s fatigue, and the other, though clearly exhausted, stubbornly pretended to be fine, urging his father to speed up.

Yes, just as the old man said on the mountaintop, she was really fortunate to have met Percy and Raymond in her life!

At the rest stop, Percy found a seat and carefully lowered Isabel, then rushed into the store to buy a bag of ice and a towel. He wrapped the ice in a towel and walked over to Isabel, squatting down to apply it to her ankle.

The cold sensation quickly reduced the pain in the swollen area.

Percy squatted for about five minutes but still not reassured, he handed the ice to Isabel, saying, "You hold this, I’ll go to the pharmacy to get some Red Flower Oil."

After speaking, he said to Raymond, "You stay here and take care of Sister Isabel, don’t wander off, I’ll be back."

Raymond obediently nodded and patted his chest like a little adult, saying, "Father, don’t worry. I’ll take care of Sister Isabel."

The pharmacy in Redleaf Manor was quite far from the rest stop. Percy had been gone for ten something minutes and hadn’t returned yet, so Isabel lifted the bag of ice from her ankle. Raymond immediately said, "Sister Isabel, you can’t take it off."
