Chapter 506: Chapter 522: So It Was Him (27)

Percy looked around anxiously, and finally saw Isabel coming out of the fitting room. She stood in front of a large floor mirror, looking at herself from side to side. The saleslady stood beside her, smiling and chatting with her.

Percy regained his composure and stood outside the store, watching Isabel. He quietly waited for her to finish shopping, hoping to "accidentally" bump into her when she came out.

Isabel tried on a total of five outfits and finally bought three. As she carried the bags and was seen out by the saleslady, Percy straightened up and pretended to casually pass by, walking towards her.

The distance between the two of them gradually closed, and Percy’s heart inexplicably started pounding faster.

For a moment, he felt that this chance encounter was not deliberately arranged by him, but rather a divine intervention, bringing them together in this vast city, as if destined to meet.

However, just as Percy and Isabel were about to come face to face, she was suddenly attracted by a piece of clothing in the neighboring shop window. She abruptly turned and walked towards it.

Percy stopped abruptly and looked around at the passing strangers who occasionally glanced at his face. He stared at Isabel’s back in disbelief, thinking, ’How could she not notice me?!’

Percy gritted his teeth and quietly followed Isabel into the store. He even walked past her, slowing down on purpose, listening carefully for her to call out to him. However, as he passed her by, the woman did not make a sound.

Percy couldn’t help but look back at the woman behind him. She was talking and laughing with a salesperson, pointing at a piece of clothing. She seemed very focused, as if she had put all her attention on the outfit and disregarded everything else.

Percy’s attempts at a "chance encounter" with Isabel had failed twice, and he was utterly ignored both times. He rubbed his temples with a headache and turned back, again pretending to casually pass by her, only to be ignored by Isabel once more!

...

The restroom was a bit crowded. When Raymond went in, there were no empty stalls. He waited for someone to leave before finally getting a spot. However, when an elderly man entered, Raymond politely gave up his spot.

By the time Raymond came out of the stall, almost ten something minutes had passed. He tiptoed to the sink, washed his hands, and then handsomely pulled out a paper tissue to dry them before leaving the restroom.

Raymond expected to see Percy with one glance, but to his surprise, he looked left and right at the doorway for half a day and couldn’t find him.

Raymond instinctively reached for his pocket, realizing that he had left his mobile phone at home when he rushed out in the morning. All he found was the 100-dollar bill and some change that Percy had given him earlier when he went to buy Haagen-Dazs.

Raymond tilted his head, staring with beautiful eyes, thinking that perhaps Percy had also gone to the restroom. So, he patiently waited at the door for a while. After waiting for a long time without seeing Percy, he became anxious, realizing that he might have lost his father!

Anxiously, he went round and round the shopping mall for a long time, then suddenly seemed to remember something and ran to the elevator, heading to the service desk on the first floor.

The middle-aged woman on duty at the service desk looked down at Raymond, who stood in front of the higher-than-himself counter, raised his head, and sweetly called out, "Auntie."
