Chapter 486: Chapter 502: So It’s Him (7)

From the perspective of those around them, it looked like Percy was embracing Isabel, and they seemed incredibly intimate.

As Percy and Isabel approached their room, someone teasingly called out with an ambiguous smile, "Mr. Stanton, have a delightful lunch break."

Isabel could sense the innuendo in the words, and kept her head down without looking back. Percy, however, boldly turned his head, chuckled a couple of times, then took out the room card and opened the door.

Isabel entered the room first, and Percy followed immediately. With one hand on the door and the other on Isabel’s wrist, Percy pulled Isabel toward him and called her, "Isabel."

Isabel nervously raised her head, and the first thing she saw was Percy’s stunningly handsome face.

After not seeing him for a long time, his charm could still effortlessly bewitch anyone who met him again.

Percy stared into Isabel’s eyes and called her name again, "Isabel..." Then suddenly, Percy’s face turned pale, and in the next second, he pushed Isabel away and quickly rushed to the restroom.

Isabel stood in the living room of the suite, slightly dazed. After a while, she heard faint vomiting sounds from the restroom, and quickly ran to the bathroom, grabbing a bottle of ice-cold mineral water from the refrigerator on the way.

When Isabel entered, Percy had already finished vomiting, and the toilet was being flushed with the sound of gurgling water. Percy was washing his face at the washbasin, with the faucet running.

The bathroom was filled with the smell of alcohol. Isabel pressed the ventilation switch and handed the bottle of mineral water to Percy.

Percy took the bottle, twisted the cap open, drank a large gulp, then rinsed his mouth with a gurgling sound before spitting it out. Then he drank the soda and grabbed a towel from the side to casually wipe his face. He then reached out and took off his coat, which was stained with a bit of dirt.

Isabel extended her hand to take the coat from him, "I’ll get it dry-cleaned. You should go lay down and rest."

Percy’s finger paused, and he silently let go of the coat.

Isabel raised her eyes and looked at Percy, saying, "Thank you for today, for the help with the Love From Afar event."

Percy did not speak but just gave a slight nod. Isabel then turned and left the bathroom.

While Isabel made a phone call for the Rose Manor staff to pick up the clothes for laundering, she also asked for a bowl of hangover soup to be sent.

As Isabel held the bowl of hangover soup and pushed open the door, Percy, who was lying on the bed with his eyes closed as if asleep, suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Isabel.

Isabel stood at the doorway for a moment before walking over to Percy, handing him the bowl of hangover soup, "Drink some; it will make you feel better."

Percy glanced at the soup, then looked at Isabel with his eyes wide open, seemingly hinting at something.

Isabel hesitated before realizing what Percy meant. She then took a spoon, stirred the hangover soup, and fed Percy spoonful by spoonful.

Outside the window, the warm afternoon sunlight of winter fell gently on the beautiful and delicate roses, their petals swaying and creating waves of colorful ripples as the wind blew.

Inside the room, Isabel and Percy spoke not a word, simply feeding and drinking in complete silence. Around them, Western European-style decorations adorned the room, while a large painting on the wall behind the bed created a scene of peace and beauty.

Time seemed incredibly beautiful, and although the hangover soup tasted terrible, Percy drank it with satisfaction and contentment, as if savoring one of the rarest delicacies in the world.

Somehow, Percy suddenly remembered a time in Ravenwood City when, because of Isabel, he had been in a bad mood and went to the "Royal Palace" to drown his sorrows in alcohol, only to have a woman approach and strike up a conversation.
