Chapter 452: Chapter 468: You Promised I Still Have You (10)

In fact, George Vincent’s series of actions didn’t cause any discomfort, but Isabel Smith still felt that him carrying her bag and coat seemed unnecessary.

As they left the restaurant, George’s car had already been brought to the front by the valet. He personally opened the passenger seat door and only after Isabel got in, he went to the driver’s side.

On the way, George asked unwillingly: "The metro can be crowded, Miss Smith. Why don’t I take you directly there instead?"

"It’s fine," said Isabel, pointing at the metro station ahead: "Just pull over on the roadside."

With a regretful nod, George parked the car by the roadside. As soon as Isabel got out, her mood improved, and she waved cheerfully to George, saying, "Goodbye."

In comparison to Isabel, George seemed somewhat reluctant to part. However, he maintained his unique gentlemanly style, nodding towards Isabel and saying, "Miss Smith, goodbye."

Isabel didn’t say anything more. She closed the car door, turned around, and walked into the metro station.

George sat in the car, watching through the window as Isabel’s beautiful figure disappeared. Suddenly, his phone rang from his pocket. Picking it up, he saw it was a call from his friend, asking if he had successfully ruined the arranged marriage banquet. George only then recalled that before leaving, he had been pondering how to invalidate this banquet. Now, he found himself quite satisfied with his blind date partner.

...

It took only ten or so minutes for Isabel to get to Nexus Mall by metro. Due to the approaching New Year, there were very few people in the metro, and the car was almost empty, with only her and a mother and child.

Isabel had just wanted someone to escape with her from the arranged marriage banquet location. Now that she was on the metro, she suddenly sobered up.

Then, she couldn’t quite understand what Percy Stanton suddenly wanted with her.

That night, she had waited for him in despair, and she thought she would cut him off completely and become strangers from then on.

But sometimes, people’s actions and thoughts don’t align.

She didn’t understand what this man was thinking, quitting his job and leaving after an argument, only to return now.

Was he just playing with her?

As Isabel tried to figure it out, the train arrived at the station. She emerged from the metro and directly entered Nexus Mall’s basement level. Knowing that Percy wouldn’t be there instantly, she decided to kill time by taking a few laps around the mall. She didn’t have anything particular in mind to buy, but since it was near the New Year, she bought a bag from the LV Exclusive.

While she was paying, her phone rang. She calmly answered the call, entering her password as she listened to Percy’s pleasant voice on the phone: "Isabel, I’ve arrived. Where are you?"

"I’ll be right down." After signing, Isabel smiled at the polite salesperson, took the wrapped bag, and headed towards the elevator: "Where are you?"

"The main entrance."

Isabel didn’t say anything more and simply hung up the phone.

As she walked out of the mall’s revolving door, she immediately spotted the ordinary car parked at the roadside.

Percy, who was sitting inside, also saw her. He immediately got out of the car, not even locking the door, rushed over to her, took her shopping bag, and led her back in front of the car, opening the door for her.

After waiting for Isabel to get into the car, Percy put her shopping items in the trunk, got in the car himself, and immediately started the engine without any hesitation.
