Father and son walked up the stairs in silence. When Percy knocked on the door, Raymond was still holding the fireworks, looking somewhat sullen.

Isabel opened the door and immediately saw Raymond, warmly exclaiming, "Raymond, are you back?"

Upon hearing her voice, Raymond looked up at Isabel, and suddenly his gloominess vanished. He ran into the house with the fireworks and gathered around Isabel, saying, "Sister Isabel, you’re already at my house? Have you been waiting for me for a long time? I just went downstairs to buy fireworks. Look, I have so many! After dinner, let’s set off the fireworks together."

Isabel then noticed the big bag in Raymond’s hands, which seemed not heavy.
