Chapter 361: Chapter 375: Proposal Gift (9)
Isabel stood somewhat unsteady, raising her hand to lean on Percy’s shoulder. As Percy apologized, the displeasure in her heart quickly dissipated, but her words still carried a hint of complaint: "Do you know, I was almost freezing to death. I’m wearing an evening gown, and this coat outside is just like decoration. It doesn’t keep out the cold at all. Achoo ——"
As Isabel spoke, she let out another powerful sneeze, just as Percy had finished putting on her shoes and stood up. Some of the saliva from her sneeze accidentally sprayed onto his face.
Percy frowned, but Isabel burst into laughter. "Percy, let me wipe it off for you!"
As she spoke, Isabel raised her hand and randomly wiped his face a few times, spreading the droplets of saliva all over Percy’s face.
Percy kept a straight face and quickly grabbed Isabel’s hand.
Isabel looked at Percy with a playful smile, showing no fear, and even buried her nose in his chest, gently rubbing it and leaving two strands of clear snot.
"Isabel, you’re disgusting!"
Percy couldn’t take it anymore and pulled away. He quickly rummaged through her bag for paper tissue and vigorously wiped his shirt before tossing the used tissue into the nearby trash can.
Isabel was scolded and a bit unhappy. She turned her head with a cold expression on her face and snorted.
Seeing Isabel’s appearance, Percy laughed, took out another paper tissue, and reached towards her nose, intending to help her wipe it.
Isabel kept her face and forcefully turned her head away.
"Your neck will break..."
Percy gently reminded Isabel, and then straightened her twisted head.
"I don’t need your help!" After saying that, Isabel turned her head away again, twisting her neck until it hurt.
Percy’s suppressed mood for the whole night eased up due to Isabel’s current demeanor, and his tone became somewhat suggestive: "If I don’t take care of you, who will?"
Isabel raised her foot and gave Percy’s leg a kick, "Even if it’s shit on the ground taking care of me, I don’t need your help!"
Percy, who got a kick from Isabel, not only wasn’t angry, but instead had a sly smirk on his face: "Then just treat me like shit on the ground. Come on, I’ll wipe your nose for you."
Isabel gave Percy another kick but couldn’t help laughing out loud again: "Percy, you’re so disgusting, always talking about shit!"
"You’re the one who brought up shit first..."
Percy’s protest was interrupted by Isabel’s suddenly serious face, staring at Percy and snorting with her nose.
Immediately, Percy raised his hand, took Isabel’s hand, and his voice softened considerably, speaking close to her ear: "Alright, Isabel, it’s my fault for being disgusting. Let’s go home. It’s too cold out here; don’t want you to freeze."
Isabel still looked unhappy, but she let Percy envelop her in his arms and walked towards the car across the street.
...
Isabel kept sneezing from the cold, using paper tissues in the car to wipe her nose. With each tissue she crumpled up, she threw it at Percy while scolding him: "It’s all your fault! If it wasn’t me waiting for you, there’s no way I would be sneezing like this!"
When they returned home, it was already three in the morning. Percy didn’t mind the circle of tissue balls around the car seat. He just locked the car and carried Isabel up to their home.
First, he prepared a hot bath for Isabel. While she soaked in the hot water, he went to the kitchen and made a bowl of ginger soup.
After taking a bath, Isabel felt much better. She walked into the bedroom with a rosy face, picked up the ginger soup that Percy had cooked, happily drank it all up, and climbed onto the bed.
