Chapter 331: Chapter 343: Life and Death Hang in the Balance (21)

Percy took a hair wax from his dresser, twisted it open, scooped a bit of wax out, and vigorously tousled his hair with it.

Percy glanced down at his son with a snicker, picked up his coat from the side, and strode out of his bedroom with long strides.

After two steps, Percy was still bothered by Raymond’s comment "she doesn’t like my dad," so he stopped, twisted around, and said to his son, "Raymond, you can’t say things like Isabel doesn’t like me in the future!"

"Why?" Raymond stopped admiring himself, turned his head towards Percy, and said earnestly, "But Sister Isabel said so herself, she likes me. Quinton told me that a person will only like one person in their lifetime, just like how he only likes Sophia. So if Sister Isabel likes me, it means she doesn’t like you. It’s a fact, so why can’t I say it?"

Percy went silent for a moment before responding, "Raymond, if you say Isabel doesn’t like me, it will make her feel awkward. If you want her to like you, you must make her like me as well. You must know that I am your father. If she doesn’t like me, if she doesn’t like your father, there will be family conflicts in the future."

Percy’s words sounded extraordinarily confident and righteous as if he was truly planning for Raymond’s sake.

Raymond furrowed his brows, thought for a while, and then became undoubtedly anxious.

Is his father trying to win Sister Isabel’s heart for him now? If Sister Isabel doesn’t like his father, it would actually affect him too...

Raymond looked at Percy and asked urgently, "Then, Father, what should I do so that Sister Isabel will like you too?"

Percy instantly thought that having a child was quite useful. He maintained his previous serious expression, waved at his son, and whispered a few words into Raymond’s ears. Afterward, Percy asked, "Did you remember it?"

"I remembered." Raymond nodded but still asked uneasily, "Father, are you sure that after doing this, Sister Isabel will like you?"

This question struck Percy’s vulnerable side. He slowly straightened up and snorted, "Who knows? What do I have to do to make her fall for me?"

Raymond puffed his cheeks, feeling that Percy’s words were a bit profound. He thought it over but couldn’t figure out whether Sister Isabel would fall for his dad or not.

So he asked again, "Father, I don’t quite understand. Will Sister Isabel like you or not?"

Percy didn’t answer, picked up the car keys instead, and walked out of the bedroom.

Lord knows how much he wishes she would fall for him.

Raymond followed behind Percy, persistently asking, "Father, you said ’who knows,’ where’s the ghost? My teacher said there’s no ghost in this world... Is the ghost you’re talking about a person?"

As Percy listened to his son’s ludicrous words, his face grew darker and darker, and his pace became faster and faster.

Raymond followed him with a bounce, continuing to ask, "Who is it with such a strange name?"

...

When Isabel came out of her apartment in her new clothes, Percy and Raymond were already waiting for her by the elevator.

Upon seeing Isabel, Raymond immediately ran joyously in front of her, lifted his head, looked at her in a red windbreaker, and sweetly complimented, "Sister Isabel, you’re so beautiful."

Isabel held Raymond’s hand and smiled at him, "Raymond, your hairstyle is really cool, who did it for you?"

Raymond answered proudly, "I did it myself!"
