Isabel Smith instinctively tried to dodge, but Percy Stanton held her in place with one hand, while with the other he squeezed out some shampoo. He applied it harshly to the vomit-streaked hair of Isabel.

Percy vigorously rubbed Isabel’s hair, all the while berating her in a heavy tone, "Shut up!" he shouted, "I swear I will beat you if you continue screaming! You really are something, getting in this state a day after your discharge. Don’t you care about your life! Isabel Smith, let me tell you, if your wound gets infected, you deserve it! No one will care even if it hurts you to death."

The angrier Percy grew, the more he felt a fire burning in his heart. In frustration, he flung off the white shampoo foam stuck to his hands, grabbed the shower head, and furiously sprayed it over Isabel’s head.

Isabel choked several times as she was sprayed. She raised her hand flailing, struggling to push Percy away, but Percy stood firmly in front of her. He rinsed her head thoroughly until the shampoo foam was completely gone before he harshly threw the shower head aside. He lifted Isabel out of the bathtub, pulled a clean towel from the side, and started vigorously rubbing it against her head.

Isabel, who had been drinking, swayed from side to side as Percy rubbed her head, feeling particularly uncomfortable. She let out whimpering sounds from her mouth. Eventually, unable to take it anymore, she extended her hand and fiercely shoved Percy’s waist.

Water was everywhere on the bathroom floor, and Isabel’s push was forceful. Caught off guard, Percy stumbled back two steps. He did not pay attention and hit his back against the shelf behind him. Items from the shelf crashed to the ground, making a tremendously loud noise.

A frown creased Percy’s forehead from the pain, and he stood up straight right away. Turning to Isabel, he snapped at her angrily, "Isabel Smith, can you please just chill for a moment!"

Elijah Smith had already finished his phone call and ran over after hearing the commotion. Seeing Percy’s furious demeanor, he quickly suggested, "Mr. Stanton, why don’t you take a shower first?"

Percy planted his hands on his hips and pointed at Isabel. He was so angry that he couldn’t utter a word. He turned his head and looked at Elijah, pointing to the bedroom opposite, "Go, take her to the bedroom right away. Dry her hair. I don’t want to see her right now. It gives me a headache just looking at her!"

While speaking, Percy moved out of the bathroom. He paused after two steps, turned his head, and asked Elijah, "Did you get through to Doctor Daniel on the phone?"

"Yes, he’s on his way over now," said Elijah, lifting Isabel and carrying her to the bedroom.

Percy slightly moved aside to let Elijah pass through, watching as Elijah carried Isabel away. He let out a disdainful snort then strode directly out of Isabel’s apartment.

When Percy returned to his apartment, Ella Adams had just finished preparing hangover soup.

Ella Adams poured the hangover soup into a fine porcelain bowl, turned around, and handed it to Percy, asking casually, "Is Senior Isabel alright?"

Percy gloomily hummed a cold response, took the hangover soup, and returned once again to Isabel’s apartment.

Isabel had already changed into her pajamas and laid quietly on her bed. She extended her head over the edge of the bed, allowing Elijah Smith to blow-dry her hair.

Percy brought the hangover soup to the bed, looked down at Isabel, sat beside her, and said to Elijah, "Prop her up."

Elijah put aside the hair dryer and shoved Isabel’s shoulders slightly higher. Percy scooped up a spoonful of the hangover soup and fed it to Isabel.

At this moment, Isabel became remarkably docile. As soon as Percy’s spoon approached, she obediently opened her mouth to drink. The fury in Percy’s heart gradually subsided, and the force he used to feed her the soup softened.
