Chapter 317: Chapter 329: Life and Death Hang in the Balance (7)
Isabel Smith faced Percy Stanton’s rage without any tension. She just stood in front of Percy, trying to maintain her swaying body after getting drunk. She raised her head, stared at Percy intently, and burst into laughter. She raised her hand, pointing randomly at his face. She finally pointed at his cheek, jabbed it twice, and said, "You don’t want to stay alive anymore!"
Isabel burped and staggered slightly to the side, Percy raised his hand swiftly and grabbed Isabel’s arm. The next second, it was as if Isabel was agitated by something and forcefully shook Percy’s hand off her arm, "Gross! Don’t touch me! You make me feel sick!"
Gross?
Sick?!
Percy’s look darkened even further. He tried to suppress his urge to rush forward and strangle Isabel to death, staring coldly at her, and asked Elijah Smith, "How much did she drink?"
Though Isabel was drunk, she still had some awareness. Hearing Percy’s question, she immediately turned and raised her hand, covering Elijah’s mouth, "Don’t talk to him! He’s a bad person!"
Isabel glared at Percy and shouted, "Bad person!"
Elijah raised his hand, pulled off Isabel’s hand from his mouth, and smiled apologetically at Percy as he supported the shaky Isabel, "Mr. Stanton, I’m sorry, she really drank too much."
"I’m not drunk! I’m sober! You’re the one who’s drunk!" Isabel burped again, and as if to prove her point, she pointed at Elijah and said, "My name is Isabel Smith."
Then, pointing at Ella Adams, she said, "You’re Percy Stanton."
Finally, she pointed at Percy and said, "And you’re Elijah Smith."
After saying that, Isabel stared at Percy, showing off as she giggled, "See, I’m not drunk! I can recognize who is who!"
Great, she’s totally drunk and disoriented!
Percy felt a surging anger that he couldn’t express. Yet, looking at the dizzy, drunk Isabel, he sighed helplessly.
Hearing Percy’s sigh, Isabel suddenly laughed and stumbled in front of Percy. Like a boneless snake, she raised her hand, wrapping herself around Percy’s neck, and jokingly said with alcohol-tainted breath, "Younger Brother, why are you sighing? Are you not happy?"
Younger Brother?
Percy almost raised his hand and pushed Isabel away. His pent-up anger had no outlet, so he could only look at Elijah and said angrily, "Elijah Smith, can’t you keep an eye on her? Just let her drink as much as she wants?"
"Huh? Aren’t you Elijah Smith?" Isabel blinked at Percy, her drunk little face flushed and looking much younger and more innocent than her usual calm demeanor. Her tender lips were coated with a layer of moisture, making her look especially alluring. Percy’s body tensed as he stared deeply at Isabel.
Isabel tilted her head, staring at Percy, scrutinizing him for a while before she raised her hand and pinched his face.
Caught off guard, Percy wanted to pull off Isabel’s hand, but she gripped even harder: "Elijah Smith, you rascal. Pretending you’re not Elijah Smith!"
Isabel’s hand gripped even harder on Percy’s face as she spoke.
His face turned dark instantly, Percy forcefully grabbed Isabel’s wrist, pulled her hand off, and said angrily, "Isabel Smith, when will you stop going mad from being drunk?"
Isabel frowned, looking at Percy as she blinked her eyes, and suddenly seemed to understand something. She nodded and said, "You’re not Elijah Smith...you’re Percy...Percy Stanton!"
