Chapter 272: Chapter 284: The Repeated Confessions (21)

Raymond Thompson’s eyesight was excellent, and he quickly noticed Isabel Smith galloping by. He instantly forgot what he was about to say to Percy Stanton and focused his gaze on Isabel. Turning to Percy, Raymond remarked, "Father, look at Sister Isabel. Her horseback riding pose is graceful, isn’t it?"

Percy slightly furrowed his brows and glanced at his son. He found the phrase "my Isabel" rather unpleasant. He hesitated for a while before responding, "It’s average."

Having said that, Percy glanced at Isabel, who was not far ahead.

Raymond, with a pure heart, was simply sharing his admiration for Isabel and was genuinely surprised by Percy’s lukewarm response. He became displeased, snorted softly, and loudly retorted, "Father, my Sister Isabel is not average! She is the most beautiful Sister Isabel in the world!"

"Is there anything on your body that proves Isabel to be yours?" Percy asked Raymond, looking at him with disinterest.

Raymond apparently didn’t catch Percy’s sarcasm and took the question seriously, trying to find something on his body that could prove Isabel was his. When he couldn’t think of anything after a while, he lowered his head, looking slightly regretful. A moment later, Raymond patted his small chest with a sigh, looking very earnestly at Percy and said, "Father, it doesn’t matter. Although I can’t prove that Sister Isabel is mine, I can be hers."

Percy’s expression darkened, and he wondered where his son had learned such romantic words. Uninterested in arguing further with a child, Percy’s gaze involuntarily rested on Isabel. She was talking and laughing with CEO Wood while riding, appearing quite happy. At this sight, Percy’s heart involuntarily chilled.

Raymond, who was nearby, also noticed Isabel and CEO Wood’s conversation and couldn’t help but mutter quietly, "Sister Isabel’s clients are really annoying!"

Percy shared the same sentiment, feeling even more frustrated when hearing it from his son. He urged his horse to go faster, leaving Raymond behind.

Raymond followed suit, but his smaller horse failed to catch up to Percy’s quickly. After a while, Percy slowed down, allowing Raymond to finally catch up. Looking at Isabel, who was still racing with CEO Wood, Raymond turned to Percy with a nervous expression and hesitated before saying softly, "Father, I actually believe that Sister Isabel is not interested in that client."

Percy couldn’t help but scoff at the mention of the topic, ignoring Raymond’s comment.

Raymond, unaware of the odd atmosphere, continued to muse for a moment before saying, as if to reassure himself, "If Sister Isabel were interested in him, she wouldn’t have agreed to go horseback riding with me later."

Raymond immediately felt heartened by this thought. He then awkwardly lowered his head and sweetly told Percy, who was ignoring him, "Moreover, Sister Isabel just told me that she missed me every day since we last met; therefore, I think Sister Isabel still likes me the best."

As soon as Isabel was mentioned, Raymond seemed to have endless things to say. Although Percy wasn’t paying attention, Raymond incessantly continued, "I like Sister Isabel the most too, so it seems like we are truly meant for each other, right?"
