Chapter 270: Chapter 282: The Repeated Confessions (19)

Mrs. Smith was really getting on in years and wasn’t suited to riding horses, so in the end, it was CEO Wood, his assistant, Isabel Smith, Evelyn Osbert, and Elijah Smith who put on helmets and wrist guards to choose their horses.

When choosing her horse, Isabel never expected that she would run into an acquaintance here.

Isabel chose a white horse, and as soon as she took it from the stableman, she heard a crisp and tender voice behind her: "Sister Isabel."

Isabel felt this voice was especially familiar, she paused for a moment, turned her head, and saw Raymond Thompson wearing red sportswear, with thick wrist guards on his legs and arms, holding a helmet in one hand, and leading a small horse with the other. He happily called out again: "Sister Isabel!"

Then he ran over towards Isabel.

The little horse seemed to be very familiar with Raymond, and followed him closely as he ran.

Raymond stood in front of Isabel, looking up with his black glass-like eyes, and said very gentlemanly: "Sister Isabel, long time no see."

Isabel really didn’t expect to bump into Raymond at the horse-riding arena. She hadn’t seen him for a long time, and suddenly realizing she missed him, she quickly handed the horse she was holding to the stableman next to her, squatted down and looked at Raymond, her tone of voice carrying a surprise that she didn’t notice: "Raymond, what are you doing here?"

"Daddy brought me." Raymond replied while pointing in a direction and leaned his small body towards Isabel’s arms.

Following the direction Raymond was pointing, Isabel saw Percy Stanton dressed in white sportswear, holding a black horse in his hand, standing not far away with a cold expression on his face, looking at her.

Because the distance was a bit far, Isabel merely pulled a smile at Percy, then Raymond, who was clinging to her, grabbed her hand eagerly and asked very seriously: "Sister Isabel, have you missed me these days?"

After asking, Raymond’s ears turned a little red, and he added in a soft voice: "Sister Isabel, I missed you a lot, every day."

When Raymond said this, his tone was very certain. His soft, gentle breath sprinkled on Isabel’s neck, tickling and warming her, making her mood become more pleasant. She raised her hand, touched Raymond’s little face, and said: "Yes, I missed Raymond every day too."

"Really?" A layer of surprise flashed in Raymond’s pitch-black and bright eyes, and he nodded firmly to Isabel: "No wonder I’ve been sneezing these past few days. It turns out Sister Isabel was thinking about me."

Isabel smiled at Raymond’s teasing. Just as she was about to continue speaking, CEO Wood, who had already chosen a horse, suddenly called out: "Miss Smith, would you like to race with me for a couple of laps?"

Isabel looked up, and smiled politely at CEO Wood, saying: "Sure." Then she turned to Raymond and said, "Raymond, sister has something to do, I’ll be back to play with you later, okay?"

"Alright." Raymond agreed while still clinging to Isabel’s arms, and then glanced at CEO Wood with a bit of defensiveness before turning back and asking nervously: "Sister Isabel, who is he?"

"A client of sister’s." Isabel answered truthfully.

Raymond then happily jumped out of Isabel’s arms, waved to her, and said very politely: "Sister Isabel, you go and get busy first. When you’re done, I’ll come find you."

"See you later, Raymond!" Isabel waved to Raymond, too, then stood up and watched as Raymond led the little horse and ran over to where Percy was.

Percy first looked at her and then bent down to pick up Raymond’s helmet, put it on Raymond’s head, and walked with him towards the spacious horse field, each leading a horse.
