Chapter 398: The Supposed Daughter of a Royal Family

Somehow, there was a nice smell this morning.

“Here you go. Freshly cooked white rice. Traditional Japone miso soup. Grilled fish. Tamagoyaki and pickles. And for the chieftain, I’ve prepared a dish mainly made of beans and vegetables.”

As I know from experience, what is served on the table is traditional Japone cuisine.

This is also incredibly delicious.

“This rice… what a wondrously tender, chewy texture…… softly steamed to perfection and a delight unto the tongue!”

“And this broth—so deep and rich in flavor…….”

“The grilled fish…… though plain to the eye, hath been salted to firm the flesh and banish all foul scent, whilst locking within its savory umami…… a masterwork.”

“Unlike the omelets here, this tamagoyaki is baked in dashi…… Here’s another …….”

“Delicious~!”

“Indeed, as a vegetarian, it’s a mercy most welcome…… a feast of the monks, pure and humble.”

“Uga, gau, garr ♪.”

It’s a storm of praise. And I can’t stop eating either.

Until now, I’ve only ever had rice balls and the like from Shinobu’s cooking, but her cooking skills were incredible.

The seasoning and cooking method were different from the Empire’s cuisine, but I’ve grown to like this taste.

“I see Shinobu has improved her skills too.”

“Yes, it tastes good, that it does.”

Even people from Japone, such as Mr. Outei, Mrs. Kagerou, and Koujiro, were impressed by the taste.

We all reacted to the voice and rushed out of the house in unison.

And then……

Outside, the elves and ninja warriors looked up at the sunny blue sky… Blue sky? No.

A huge human figure was projected in the sky.

It’s not real.

Then, Tre’ainar beside me ……

Fat, bald, and ugly. They say it’s not all about looks, but this guy perfectly fits all three criteria, and what’s more, he has an incredibly infuriating way of speaking.

But still, that person…no, they really don’t look alike at all…… but still, he’s Mr. Outei’s older brother and Shinobu’s uncle…… the rumored current king of Japone himself.
