Bound To The Ice Dragon King
Chapter 79: Insane love

Chapter 79: Insane love

"Alina..." Rhea’s expression turned grave, "She is misleading everyone into her scheme, and going too far with her obsession. She wouldn’t dare kill a royal dragon, would she?" Rhea asked Aria, who shook her head, "I don’t know..."

Aria’s expression also became serious, "I hope she doesn’t, but the report didn’t mention anything about her discovering a royal dragon yet, so that’s good news for now." She stated, then added, "And regarding the potion Lord Barlin gave you, I have found an antidote for it. It will be delivered here in a few days."

Rhea’s expression brightened, she would finally be able to get rid of this troublesome reaction she had towards Draven. "That’s great. But I thought there was no cure for it, how did you manage to find one?" She raised a curious eyebrow. She knew her friend had connections for obtaining information and possessed extraordinary abilities to make things. Rhea had always been curious about how Aria was able to do all those things as a human. But Just like before, Aria replied,

"I have my methods," she then redirected the conversation back to the main topic, "I just hope the rumors about Alina seeking Erebus are false. It wouldn’t be good if she awakened that evil entity again."

Rhea didn’t push for her to tell her, and also continued with their earlier conversation. "Well, I don’t care how powerful she is, it won’t change my mind from saving those dragons. And we’ll need your help this time, are you willing?" She asked.

The most important thing was to get back Draven’s powers, otherwise, even though they saved the dragons, Alina would still capture more and use his powers to do evil.

Aria softly chuckled, "If I’m not willing to help you, then why will I get all this information for you?" She put down her tea cup, "But before we start another plan, let your sweetheart_oh I mean, your friend recover completely first. We don’t have to rush, since I think Alina would be busy with her Enzo."

Remembering how Alina had hurriedly left the cell at the mention of Enzo, Rhea couldn’t agree less on that. Alina would indeed be busy staying by his side. Rhea then stood up from the chair, "Since you already have a spy in her residence, then more information will come in. We’ve probably alerted them yesterday, it would be best we lay low for a few days. I’ll take my leave, my breakfast is waiting."

Just as Aria was about to reply to Rhea, a maid walked to the balcony, and informed, "Madame, young lord Santino has sent you a letter."

Rhea’s gaze causally swept over the letter as the maid handed it to Aria, "To my lovely flower, Ariana" was written on it in bold letters, emphasizing the sender’s strong personality.

Rhea watched as her friend took the letter from the maid. Even though Aria tried hard not to show it, Rhea saw how her movements weren’t as calm as before, she was eagerly ripping off the envelope’s seal. When she started reading the letter, it was like she’d entered another world, her eyes were large like that of a cute puppy, and her lips held a smile. She no longer paid attention to Rhea and continued to read the letter.

Rhea rolled her eyes and simply turned to leave, but before she got to the door, she heard Aria instruct the maid. "Valen is personally coming in a few days, tell everyone to make arrangements."

"Yes, madame."

Rhea shook her head in disbelief as she closed the door behind her. "Poor Aria, she’s madly in love with a Casanova. He’s a famous womanizer, what did she see in him?" She murmured to herself. These days, she’d been seeing how love could make one do crazy things. People in love were insane.

"Love is a crazy disease." She murmured.

"Indeed."

Rhea was startled by the sudden voice that spoke. She turned around and found Draven leaning lazily against the wall with his hands tucked in his pockets. Her heart skipped a beat, and she hurriedly looked away from him.

"What brings you here?"

Draven was about to open his mouth to reply. He wanted to tell her he didn’t see her when he woke up and got worried, so he went to search for her and the kitchen maid told him she was here, and came to find her without thinking. However, those words died in his throat when he recalled her earlier words to Aria when he was about to knock on the door.

_Sweetheart? Spare me. I would rather choose a street beggar as my sweetheart than that fellow. He’s just an irritating pest that constantly shadows me, I can’t wait to get him off my back._

Draven internally scoffed. Of course, what was he thinking? That Rhea was the one human who treated him as a being and stood for him because she cared? How delusional of him to think so. She was merely helping him to save her kind and to fulfil her promise to the ghost, and most importantly to prevent him from taking back his core in her body.

She was a fire controller after all, it was due to his core that her flames were suppressed. Last night, he’d thought she...

Draven’s expression froze, as he dared not continue that line of thought. Why did he even care of the reason she was helping? Wasn’t he also using her to get back his complete form? It was only fair that they both have their own intentions of being with the other.

He dismissed those thoughts from his mind and wore back his stone cold expression, and said indifferently, "I was passing by when I heard your loud voice in the room."

Rhea glared at him, but then replied, "I see, then since you heard my loud voice you must have heard everything we talked about Alina, right?"

"I heard everything." He replied curtly.

Rhea nodded, "Good then, I won’t have to repeat everything to you. Let’s go and have breakfast." Saying that she walked ahead of him, as she couldn’t wait to eat. However, she noticed the slight change in Draven’s behavior, but she didn’t pay heed to it and headed to the kitchen.
