Bound To The Ice Dragon King
Chapter 32: The shameless little girl

Chapter 32: The shameless little girl

With a sinister chuckle, Draven’s icy voice cut through the air, "You’re simply being naïve, little girl. Due to your actions, I will require your blood once more!"

Rhea smirked, that would be if she stayed for him to get her blood. She wasn’t a fool to wait here to fight him when the cave looked like it would collapse. Rhea made a run towards the opposite direction of him, since she was the only one who could break the barrier at the exit, she would flee and let him die here alone. Rhea laughed in amusement and waved at Draven,

"This girl is not going to fight you, play your evil games alone, bye."

Draven didn’t say anything. He just steadily stood there and looked at Rhea as she ran around trying to figure out the exit route. He didn’t flinch even when a rock fell beside his leg and shattered into pieces. All he wanted was her blood, he had no Dragon aura without his core, and without that, the spell won’t break nor would his dragon essence listen to his command. He had to stab her to activate the core in her body and to use her blood at the same time. However, the crazy girl ruined his plan. He couldn’t afford to fail this...

Draven’s fists balled up in anger, he still didn’t try to stop her as she foolishly ran around. It wasn’t until a rock fell hard on her head did she stop running and cried out in pain, "Hell and damnation! My head. Why can’t I find the exit!" She clutched her head with both hands.

Seeing Rhea in pain, Draven cheered up a bit from his terrible mood. Too bad the rock didn’t knock her out to make things easier for him. He thought as he began to approach her.

Rhea, who noticed that Draven was approaching her quickly raised her hand. She tried to summon her renowned power or even her ice spikes, but neither of them seemed to work at the moment.

Draven’s mocking gaze revealed his satisfaction in her misfortune while his hands were behind his back. He mocked, "Despite your newfound ability, the spell in the cave is still in place, making your magic useless." His tone shifted as he added, "It seems you have a flicker of flame as well. Intriguing." He approached her like a predator, walking forward with a devilish grin.

Walking backwards, Rhea attempted to conceal her fright, yet her legs exposed her as they receded. As the cave trembled once more, the unstable terrain made it difficult for her to keep her balance. Clinging desperately to a rock on the cavern’s wall, Rhea found herself powerless against Draven’s relentless pursuit. He charged towards her, wielding his dagger as though his survival hinged on it, heedless of the ground’s violent quaking.

Was he going to stab her again because she didn’t die? In her state of fear, Rhea raised her hand to block him,

"You are not thinking of stabbing me again, are you?" Rhea raged, "look at our current situation, can’t you stop your obsession already?"

"If it wasn’t for you messing things up, I wouldn’t have had the need to hurt you again!" He said coldly then clutched her neck. With astonishing swiftness, he lifted her up with a single hand.

Rhea hit his hands to struggle free, but it seemed like he had no plans of releasing her. She wouldn’t let him choke her to death this early. Rhea’s raised her leg ready to kick at his vital area, however, he seemed to know what she was about to do and quickly released her neck, his face blanched as he avoided the kick.

Rhea chuckled between her gasps for breath, "Who would have thought a dragon is scared of being kicked in the crotch. You have no use for that thing because no woman will let you_"

"Shut up!" Draven was so angered by Rhea’s uncouth behavior that he couldn’t take it anymore. He had never seen a girl as shameless as this one. He used his anger to launch his next movement, with a rapid and vicious motion he restrained her movement on the ground.

This time, he immobilzed her by straddling her on the ground and taking hold of her wrist. Finally, he used his sharp dagger to slice the vein in her hand in one swift motion.

At that moment, Rhea didn’t feel the pain as she was suddenly plunged back into that scene of Draven being stabbed by Alina. She felt the pain of Alina’s betrayal. Draven’s pain, was all too real in her.

She wasn’t part of their lives, but yet she could feel his pain, and yet again this dragon was after her life as if she was the one who betrayed him before. Rhea began to feel the pain of the cut on her wrist, she felt as her own blood slipped down her wrist onto the ground.

Rhea tried to struggle free from him, she also tried to pull her wrist from his grip, but her struggling was effortless. This dragon really wanted to kill her without any hesitation!

"Stop moving!" He warned when she tried to pull her wrist again. He grew frustrated when she didn’t stop struggling. He pinned her down like she was some kind of an animal.

Rhea was so mad that she burst out, "You bastard! Even when animals are being slaughtered, their killer gives them the chance to struggle before they eventually die. Am I not even equal to an animal to you?" She yelled, "you are killing me, yet you’re not even giving me the chance to struggle. YOU ARE HEARTLESS!!"

Draven’s eyebrows furrowed together, "I told you that you won’t die, and I have no intentions of taking your life. I just want your damn blood!"

Rhea chuckled at his words, then said, "A moment ago, I just wanted to kick your damn crotch, I have no intentions of taking your life, why didn’t you let me do so then?!"

Draven’s mouth pressed into a thin line, he then used his other hand to grab her chin,"You need to be taught manners, little girl. I would have explained to you the reason I needed you, but you have no brains to understand!"

Rhea pulled her chin away from his hand, "You talk as if I’m interested in hearing your explanation. I am not! I will surely expose you if I make it..."

Rhea hadn’t finished speaking when the ground suddenly shook again. Draven’s expression turned grave, "Stay still, only your blood can break the spell and stop the place from collapsing on us!" He said.

However, Rhea wasn’t getting any of his shit, she used the opportunity that the ground was shaking and eventually kicked him hard in his crotch, he quickly released her and rolled to the other side as he groaned in pain.

Rhea flipped over and stood to her feet, "My blood is not meant for evil, stab yourself and use your own blood!"

As expected, Draven didn’t waste anytime on the ground and also stood up. "How dare you...!" His eyes glowered dangerously.

Draven commenced his attack on Rhea amidst the shaking of the cave, but she counterattacked with equal fervor. As they engaged in combat, Rhea realized the overwhelming superiority of Draven’s martial arts. Had it not been for the tremors in the cave, Draven would have unquestionably emerged victorious.

Out of the blue, the cave started to throw a fierce attack of fireballs in their direction. It was as though the cave had come to life and was forcefully opposed to their presence. Discontinuing their fight, the duo focused on evading the fiery balls instead.

Seeing the situation was starting to get worst, Draven’s expression turned grave, he saw a fire ball coming at him and quickly ducked, he then coldly looked at Rhea,

"I’m doing this to retrieve my essence and to cure your cousin. Didn’t you also want to clear Azure’s name?" He asked.

As expected, Rhea halted abruptly. In a swift motion, Draven dashed towards her and pierced her stomach mercilessly with his dagger. This time, the blade penetrated all the way into her stomach, causing the blood to ooze out instantly and trickle down to the ground. Despite being wracked with excruciating pain, Rhea clenched her teeth and spat out a mouthful of blood as she gave Draven a hateful glare.

"You have hurt me thrice..." she managed to utter, her voice quivering with agony. Nevertheless, Draven remained indifferent to her words and carelessly withdrew the dagger from her stomach, leaving her to suffer in unbearably sharp pain.

Draven completely disregarded Rhea, who was slowly dropping down to her knees. Instead, he turned around and quickly sliced his palm again, just as he had done before. With his hand dripping blood, he struck the ground with a mighty blow, causing the entire cave to tremble.

The ground that had settled suddenly started to tremble as Rhea’s and Draven’s blood seeped into it, glowing brightly.

Without giving her time to heal like she did the first time, the cave’s roof buckled. The ground beneath her feet split open, becoming nearly vertical, threatening to swallow her whole. To avoid being consumed, she pushed herself up with one hand while the other pressed against her bleeding stomach.

It was unknown to her what sort of power this dragon was drawing out of the cave, his entire body was emanating white light, he was particularly floating in the air with loose black hair spread around. There was a sense of superiority as he stood above her, he was like an angel descending from heaven.

Although Rhea had experienced torturous times at her father’s house, it couldn’t compare to the suffering she was presently enduring while Draven stood gracefully. She now harbored intense dislike towards him, convinced that he was the most unfeeling creature alive. She knew that he wouldn’t bat an eye even if he witnessed her die at this moment. Gazing at the pitch-black abyss beneath her, Rhea realized if she didn’t do anything, it would only be a matter of minutes before she eventual fell inside.

Rhea gritted her teeth and ignored the pain in her stomach, she rolled up her sleeves and began to climb up the cave walls, when she reached the top, she extended her hand and tightly grabbed onto Draven’s leg.

Draven, who was floating steadily in the air, suddenly felt a jolt and began to descend. His eyes immediately flew open in surprise as he glanced downwards to find Rhea with blood dripping from her mouth. She was gritting her teeth and clawing her way up his leg. Although he had been through many trials in his life, the sight of Rhea like this was enough to give him the shock of his life.

"What the freaking hell do you think you’re doing?!" He bellowed, bending his knee intending to throw her off of his leg, but she was holding tightly on to him.

Rhea glared at him with her bloody face, "Are you blind to see that I’m trying to climb onto you to survive!" She suddenly clutched his other leg when he was about to throw her off again. Draven’s eyebrows furrowed together,

"Why grab onto me? Look for the exit and find your way out, don’t mess things up for me again!"

Rhea suddenly felt the urge to really slap this dragon’s pretty face for lacking common sense. "Are you kidding me? Come here let me stab you then let’s see if you’d have the strength to find your way out!"

This man was really lacking sense, he went on and carried out his plans of betraying her, he even straddled her like an animal, stabbed her without her permission, yet when she got caught up in his mess, he wasn’t willing to let her grab onto him for survival.

"Let go of my legs!"

"I swear to the heavens, dragon, if you try to kick me off again, I’m going to grab your crotch and hang on from there!"
