Chapter 329: Afriad To Lose (18+)
The study was filled with the dense scent of ink, sweat, and their release.
Xion’s trembling form splayed across the cold surface like an offering to some unholy altar. And Darius was standing there, watching as his cum slowly trailed down the inside of a flushed thigh.
Perhaps the table was too cold, he thought absently, gaze flicking to Xion’s feet. The soft soles had turned pink by now.
"Come here." Without waiting for an answer, Darius gathered the gasping beauty into his arms, lifting him effortlessly before striding toward the bed.
Xion didn’t resist, nor did he stop his tormenter. He let himself be carried in Darius’s hold.
Maybe he saw it as penance, like a small price to pay for the wreckage he’d left on their wedding day.
For the princess, he had killed. For all those guards who died in that explosion.
Darius had saved him from both the gallows and from public execution.
Whatever twisted justice the world would have handed him, the great Archduke had shielded him from it.
So, he wanted to repay his lover in some way.
Though he wasn’t sure why, there was still that uneasiness wrapping around his chest whenever he thought about that incident.
What he didn’t recognize, what he couldn’t bring himself to name, was the fear. He was terrified that Darius, too, might one day disappear, that just like that night, he would be left alone with the strangers of this world.
He wouldn’t be able to see Darius no matter how he tried.
And so, like a drowning man clinging to driftwood, he held tighter. Even when the Archduke’s touch wasn’t as gentle as before, he never once pushed him away.
Because when Darius was inside him, he would forget everything else.
After all, Darius makes everything warm.
Contrary to his earlier beastly actions, the Archduke laid Xion down on the soft bed before rolling him to one side.
One by one, he removed the golden chains. Their clinks against the floor sounded far louder than they should have in the quiet room. Or maybe it was just Xion’s heart that was beating in his ears.
When the last one fell, Darius turned him onto his back.
Blue glossy eyes blinked against the candlelight haloing his lover’s silhouette, framing the sharp angles of his face in gold.
With trembling fingers, he reached up to touch the corner of the beautiful green eye as though verifying if this elf-like being was real.
"Are you happy... my dear husband?" he asked, voice slightly hoarse from tears and moans alike. A single tear clung to his lashes, then slipped down his cheek.
Yet, he smiled.
Darius gazed at him like one who had found the holy in flesh.
"More than just happy," he echoed, then leaned down to pepper kisses across Xion’s face. "I’m delighted."
He rolled his hips against Xion’s thigh, letting the younger feel just how delighted he truly was.
Xion gasped. Why is he always so quick to get hard?
"Give me a break..." his plea was caught somewhere between laughter and weariness.
Darius smirked. "No, baby. You promised."
Ah. He had. In the throes of want, Xion had whispered promises into his husband’s ear and now there was no way for him to back down.
Still flushed and slick with the aftermath of their first round, Xion put his tied arms around Darius’s neck and pulled him down for another messy kiss.
And Darius? He kissed him back like a starving man.
From the swollen lips down to the jaw finally reaching the perking nipples still hidden under the violet shield.
With a tug, he pushed the remaining robe aside, exposing flushed skin to the cool air. The only thing that remained on Xion’s body was the golden bells tied to his slender ankles.
As if to match the red silk wrapped around his hands, Darius let his mana curl around Xion’s legs.
It slithered like a phantom, touching down the curve of his calves until his thighs were gently parted and held wide open.
Xion’s eyes fluttered, "Y-You... What are you doing?"
In his mind, tying was just like a decoration, like some jewelry of a sort.
Where would he think of the freaks Darius’ had in his mind?
Instead of answering, Darius sent another green flick toward his hands and pressed them above his head.
"Doing you, of course."
Fingers skimmed over the rising and falling chest before they scratched the red beads.
Xion finally understood a bit. Darius was in a hurry before but after one round, this perverted demon had calmed down.
Calm enough to finally shower his attention on the rest of his body.
Darius’ mouth lingered at the base of Xion’s throat, trailing kisses down the line of his chest.
His lips brushed the nipples, letting his tongue coat them all over until they were wet and shiny like tiny rubies.
The tantalizing moans only fueled Darius more. It was only when he reached the navel, he paused.
Nestled in the delicate dip was a glimmering small white jewel.
Curiosity piqued, he lowered his head and flicked his tongue experimentally over it.
Sweet. Just like Xion’s scent.
There was a faint, nectar-like taste that clung to the surface, subtle yet unmistakable.
Whatever enchantment it was, it seemed made just for him.
Smirking against Xion’s skin, Darius lapped at it again, savoring the flavor as though his beloved’s body offered up secret fruits for his indulgence.
His tongue circled slowly, deliberately, drawing soft sounds from Xion’s throat.
The younger man squirmed under him. The poor baby was still sensitive from their earlier joining, yet unable to resist the new wave of heat curling low in his belly.
Sharp teeth grazed the rim of the navel, then bit down lightly, just enough to make Xion gasp.
As the Archduke teased that small, trembling point, one hand trailed downward.
He caressed with patience until the once-limp flesh began to stir again under his touch.
Xion’s neck arched. His breath shuddered, chest rising and falling in soft waves, as shame and desire danced behind his half-lidded gaze.
Strands of black hair clung to his sweaty forehead while his fingers clenched onto the sheets beneath him. His ragged puffs were punctuated with the heavy jingles of the bells.
The moonlight peeked through the window, watching as two bodies remained intertwined for hours.
As if attracted by such passionate love, the moon too began its descent to the other side of the sky where it would finally dip into its beloved sea.
