Chapter 42: Chapter 41

"So what now? He’s just going to use you for a year and throw you away?" Michi asked, shaking his head. "You know that’s not right. As your best friend, I won’t allow that. How could you even agree?"

"I had no choice." Hiro said helplessly. "I had to agree, Michi. My sister’s life depended on it and I knew Big Brother had no way of getting the money. You were the one should showed me that article, remember?"

They were sitting in the private waiting room that Raiden had booked. Hiro had told Michi everything that had happened between him and Raiden. Well, everything but the parts were Raiden asked him to suck him off and when Raiden made him cum with his mouth. He felt that kind of information was best to keep to himself.

Michi sighed. "I understand but it still doesn’t make sense. Does this mean he has no feelings for you anymore? He just wants to use you and that’s it?"

"Don’t forget that I’m using him too, Michi." Hiro reminded him. "He’s going to take care of me for an entire year. You once said that’s it’s better to give myself to him and live a life of luxury than to keep suffering."

"I said a life!" Michi exclaimed. "An entire life! Not one year!"

Hiro shrugged. "Well what’s done is done. I can’t take it back. Besides, one year is enough. I don’t want to be tied to Raiden all my life."

Michi groaned out of frustration. "I just don’t get this. What happened to all the years he kept stalking you? All the feelings? They disappeared just like that? He should be fucking happy that you went to him and decided to be with him."

Hiro leaned back on the white couch, letting out a sigh. He could feel a headache coming. Michi just didn’t understand. "It’s quite the opposite Michi. I’m the one that’s grateful to him for accepting me despite the fact that I have nothing to offer. Out of everyone I went to, everyone I begged, he’s the only one who was ready to help. I’m the one benefitting from this deal the most. If all I have to give him is a year of my life in exchange for Big sis to live longer then it’s worth it. Besides, Raiden isn’t as I remember. He’s nice, warm, and respectful. I don’t know how but he doesn’t give me that creepy feeling anymore."

"He treats you right then?" Michi asked.

Hiro nodded. "For now, yes. He asks for permission before he touches me and last night, after Big Brother and I had a fight, he comforted me. Since he basically owns me for a year, I was thinking he was going to be all domineering and scary but he’s the complete opposite. I never thought I’d ever say this about him but Raiden is....gentle."

Hearing Hiro’s opinion made Michi calm down, thinking he had misjudged Raiden. Well, it wasn’t his fault. It was due to all the things he heard about him but it was nice to know that Hiro wasn’t being used.

He scooted closer to Hiro on the couch and hugged him. "Fine. I’m happy as long as you’re happy, Hiro."

"Thanks Michi." Hiro smiled, hugging him back.

At that instant, a knock echoed on the door.

"Who’s there?" Michi inquired, gently distancing himself from Hiro.

"It’s me," resonated a deep, familiar voice in response.

Michi turned to Hiro, giving him a teasing smile. "Ooooo it’s your gentle hubby for one year."

Hiro blushed, shaking his head. "Shut up."

Michi swung the door open, offering Raiden a respectful bow before turning to Hiro. "I’ll give you two some space. If you need me, I’ll be in the main waiting area."

With that, he exited, leaving Raiden and Hiro alone.

"How are you doing?" Raiden asked as he closed the door and went to sit beside Hiro on the white couch.

"I’m fine" Hiro replied meekly. He still wasn’t used to talking casually with Raiden. "What about you?" He then gasped when he saw Raiden’s reddened cheek. "What happened ? How did you get that bruise?"

Raiden shrugged. "A mad man went loose."

"A mad man?" Hiro was shocked. "How could that happen?"

"They didn’t tie him properly." Raiden answered. "But don’t worry. He has been caught and tied up. He’ll never bother others again."

[Sora, the ’mad man’ who was still sitting on the floor, violently sneezed the growled; "Raiden!"]

Hiro stood up and went to the fridge, taking out an bag of frozen peas. He went back to Raiden and handed it to him. "Here, use it on your face so it won’t swell."

Instead of collecting it, Raiden looked at Hiro then asked, "Can I hold you?"

"W-What?" Hiro stuttered, dumbfounded. Raiden was hurt but he wanted to hold him instead? "What are you saying? You need to put this on your face before ot starts to swell."

Raiden suddenly sighed like someone who had lost everything in life. He slowly leaned back on the couch, looking sad and dejected. "I got hurt by a mad man. Even if it is for a year, you’re still my partner. A good partner in this situation should be comforting me not coldly handing me a pack of frozen peas."

Hiro suddenly felt guilty. Raiden had been nothing but kind to him, being considerate of his feelings and comforting him when he needed it. But now that Raiden was hurt, he couldn’t even do the same and all Raiden wanted was to hold him.

Raiden sneaked a peak at Hiro’s guilt ladden but cute face and smiled to himself, continuing to act pitiful and complain. "My face hurts a lot you know and my head too. That mad man hit me so hard. I feel like I’m going to die."

"H-Hey don’t say that!" Hiro reprimanded, feeling even more guilty. Ever since he heard Saika was going to die without having a transplant, he had developed a kind of fear for the word death. "Y-You’re not going to die. Don’t say bad things like that. H-How do you want to hold me?"

Raiden immediately sat up and patted his lap. "Come, sit here."

Giving him a suspicious look, Hiro reluctantly went and sat on Raiden’s lap. It still felt weird to be sitting on another man’s lap.
