Chapter 143: Chapter 142

He picked up a piece of the glistening wagyu and held it to Hiro’s lips. Hiro took the bite without hesitation, his eyes fluttering shut as the rich, melt-in-your-mouth beef coated his tongue. "Mmm..." He let out a satisfied hum before quickly swallowing and opening his mouth again, eager for the next bite.

"Hey, slow down." Raiden chuckled, amused by how quickly Hiro was eating. He picked up another piece of meat and placed it between Hiro’s lips.

"I’m really hungry," Hiro whined, chewing eagerly. He hadn’t realized just how empty his stomach was until the food was right in front of him.

Raiden smiled and continued feeding him, occasionally stealing a few bites for himself. The peaceful rhythm of the moment made him think about their future—about what he wanted now that they had both confessed their feelings.

"You know," Raiden started, picking up a piece of grilled eel. "I was thinking... now that we’ve expressed our feelings for each other, do you want to take things to the next level?"

Hiro paused mid-bite and blinked cutely at him. "How?"

Raiden met his gaze with quiet seriousness. "I want to tell your brother and sister that we’re together."

Hiro’s eyes widened in pure horror. He inhaled sharply and immediately choked on his food.

Raiden cursed and quickly set the chopsticks down, patting Hiro’s back as he coughed violently. "Shit—baby, breathe. Here, drink some water."

Hiro grabbed the offered glass and took a few desperate sips, still coughing as he glared at Raiden. "You—you want to tell Sora?" He wheezed.

Raiden smirked and nodded. "And Saika. But mostly Sora."

Hiro let out a strangled sound and dramatically flopped against Raiden’s chest, burying his face in his boyfriend’s broad shoulder. “You’re trying to get me killed." He whined. "Big brother will freak. You know he doesn’t like you much.”

Raiden chuckled as he stroked Hiro’s back gently. “He won’t freak out. Trust me. Sora doesn’t hate me as much as he used to anymore. The job I got him has made us much closer than you think.”

Hiro perked up at that, raising his head, his champagne-coloured eyes glistening with curiousity. “Oh right.” He tilted his head slightly. “What kind of job did you get him? I haven’t seen him for two weeks now, I think. Is he okay? Why isn’t he picking his calls?”

Raiden continued to feed Hiro, smiling as his boyfriend happily accepted another bite. “Sora’s fine. You don’t have to worry. He’s currently working for a friend of mine. The training is intense, which is why he hasn’t been able to contact you, but he’ll be done in a week. You’ll see him soon, okay?”

Hiro nodded, not noticing that Raiden never actually mentioned what kind of job it was. He simply smiled, chewing contentedly, because he trusted Raiden. After swallowing, he asked, “Why do you want to tell them about us so soon, though?”

Raiden raised an eyebrow. “So soon? Hiro, it’s been more than two months since we got together. We’re living together, we fuck almost everyday and we confessed our feelings to each other. The next step is telling our families. They have a right to know, don’t you think? Besides, do you want Saika to keep flirting with me?”

Hiro immediately pursed his lips and let out an adorable pout before shaking his head vehemently. He wrapped his arms around Raiden’s waist and hugged him tight. “You’re mine,” he mumbled against his chest. “I hate it when she flirts with you.”

Raiden chuckled, kissing the top of Hiro’s head. “So, we tell them?”

Hiro sighed but then nodded. “You’re right. We should tell them. But let’s wait until big brother comes back. I want to tell them together.”

“That’s fine.” Raiden smiled, his dark eyes filled with warmth as he pecked Hiro on the cheek. “See? We’re good at making decisions together.”

Hiro giggled, nuzzling against Raiden’s shoulder. “Because you’re good at convincing me.”

Raiden smirked, lifting another bite of food to Hiro’s lips. “Oh I’m good at a lot of things, baby.” He winked. "You’ll see tonight."

Hiro blushed but still took the bite, smiling shyly as he chewed. The rest of their meal was filled with quiet laughter and teasing, Raiden feeding Hiro with gentle care, and Hiro basking in the warmth of their love.

The private club was a lavish space, tucked away from the rest of the world, with sleek modern decor, dim lighting, and soft music playing in the background. It was one of Raiden’s personal venues, a place where he could escape the pressures of business and relax. But tonight, it was special, it was for his birthday party.

Raiden and Hiro sat together in a cozy corner, laughing at a joke one of Raiden’s employees had made. Hiro’s eyes sparkled with happiness, his laughter infectious.

"Really?" Hiro giggled. "What happened after that?"

Raiden smiled and he couldn’t help but admire his lover being so immersed in the joke. Hiro was a beautiful creature. There was no doubt about that but each day, he became even more beautiful to Raiden. More exquisite and Raiden could not take his eyes off Hiro at all.

Just as Hiro was about to take another sip of his drink, his phone buzzed.

He pulled it out eagerly, his eyes lighting up when he saw the name on the screen. “Michi!” Hiro almost bounced in his seat, excitement radiating off of him. He quickly showed Raiden the text. “Michi’s almost here! Can we go out and meet him? Please, please?” He even blinked cutley, his lashes fluttering like a butterfly’s wing.

Raiden felt his trousers tighten but he smiled. “Of course,” he said, nodding. “Let’s go.”

Hiro practically jumped out of his seat, his hands shaking with anticipation as he dialed Michi’s number. The phone rang once, twice, and then Michi’s voice came through.

“I’m almost there!” Michi said excitedly. “I can see the club entrance already.”

Hiro grinned from ear to ear, feeling really happy. It wasn’t that he was bored or anything. Raiden’s employees were hilarious but he just needed someone he was familiar with. He placed his phone down, turning back to Raiden with a wide smile. “He’s almost here!”

Raiden watched Hiro, his heart full as he observed the way the light caught Hiro’s features. Hiro was dressed in a cute white dress shirt, the sleeves slightly rolled up, paired with black pants that gave him an effortlessly stylish look. His hair was styled neatly, the soft curls falling just enough to frame his face. Hiro looked effortlessly put together, yet Raiden couldn’t help but notice how different he seemed from the boy who had once been weighed down by the world, overwhelmed with responsibilities and life’s pressures.
