Chapter 1609: Han Ping’s Wedding 3

Chapter 1609: Chapter 1609: Han Ping’s Wedding 3

The two of them, married for over a decade, stared at each other in the storm.

Calm and uneventful, like stagnant water, perhaps best describes the state of their marriage now.

They can’t continue like this. Many marriages end because of a lack of passion. Although she has great confidence in her husband’s character, there must be some changes. Over the age of thirty yet still young at heart, Feng Qingxue quickly thought, but before she could speak, she caught a glimpse of Liu Yan walking into the department store.

True to her name, Liu Yan was fair-skinned and delicate, a beauty with bright eyes, as vibrant as a flower. The young man with her was clearly Han Ping, the one they had breakfast with that morning. Feng Qingxue’s eyes widened instantly, "Ajiang, look!"

Liu Yan and Han Ping? She never would have thought.

Lu Jiang followed her gaze and looked over, "Han Ping, huh. That should be his fiancée. You know her?"

"It’s Liu Yan, a nurse from our military hospital," Feng Qingxue said, unable to hide her surprise. "Liu Yan and Han Ping are dating? How come Han Ping doesn’t know we’re at the Wucheng military? Didn’t he ever pick up or drop off Liu Yan at the hospital? I’ve never heard Liu Yan mention anything about her work. I didn’t even know Liu Yan was dating or planning to get married. She never mentioned submitting a marriage report."

Lu Jiang said indifferently, "Marriage reports don’t have to go through your hands. It’s normal for you not to know."

"Really inconsiderate!" Feng Qingxue originally wanted to go up and interrupt them but quickly changed her mind, "Come on, let’s avoid them. We’ll show up when they get married and ask Xiaoliu for some extra wedding candies."

"Bring our kids, and we can ask for more," Lu Jiang laughed.

Other people’s kids aren’t as well-mannered and charming as their five children.

Feng Qingxue lightly slapped his arm, "Two people with one gift, but bringing five kids, plus the inevitable attendant, instantly occupying a full table isn’t enough to make people laugh!"

Lu Jiang was just speaking casually. He wouldn’t do something so undignified.

"Let’s go shop somewhere else. They’ve gone inside, so let’s not keep staring at the front of the department store."

Feng Qingxue nodded, "Where to? You decide, we can’t just wander in the wind and snow. It’s rare to have some alone time; we can’t waste it."

Lu Jiang thought for a moment, "There’s nothing really interesting in or outside of Wucheng."

"Then why did we come out?" Feng Qingxue didn’t know what to say.

She was naturally beautiful, with delicate brows and a sweet dimple. Time hadn’t marked her face, adding a hint of mature charm. Her eyes were wide open, like two black pearls on a field of white snow, showing a touch of her youthful purity that made Lu Jiang’s heart flutter, almost leaping out of his chest.

Listening to his wife’s words, he suddenly laughed, "We don’t need to do anything, just walking, talking, and laughing like this is very nice."

"Huh?" A hint of confusion flashed in Feng Qingxue’s eyes, like a ripple on water.

Lu Jiang whispered, "No matter where we are or what we’re doing, it doesn’t matter. What’s important is that it’s just the two of us, just you and me, without anyone else to disturb us."

Feng Qingxue’s ears reddened, like a touch of rouge on white jade, charming and elegant.

Lu Jiang could see it by lowering his head, "But just standing here isn’t quite right; let’s wander around." In the ice and snow, there wasn’t any flea market or black market to find bargains; they weren’t aiming for that today anyway.
