I'm not going to beat around the bush, the novel is brilliant. That's all I have to say. Read it. It's well worth it. I don't know why I have to write 140 characters
this novel is definitely going to be one of my favorites (along with a bunch of other novels i only now discovered on this site) going into the future. at the time of writing this ive read about 1170 chapters, and so far it looks like beyond where i've read its only going to get much better. start might seem bad to some people, and the first couple dozen chapters don't have the best writing, but its not the worst either. ignore all the people hating on this, because im sure they either read less than 100 chapters or skimmed so hard that they have no idea about any of the characters. the novel really hits you in the feels at times, and although the mc is ruthless and doesn't care about strangers, he also cares deeply for his family and friends and quite literally would destroy everything to protect them. there are flaws, but they aren't as bad as others make them out to be, and the fight scenes in this novel are so crazy good that i don't think any other webnovel compares (at least that i have seen). i could rant on for many more paragraphs, but i think i got my point across. ignore all the other reviews and comments and just read the d*mn novel (and leave comments, cuz the comment section is really lonely)
Duplicate 5 star reviews are posted, so I feel it fair to bring the average down, particularly as the story, while ambitious, suffers from pacing issues. Chapter One begins with assault, and ends in murder. But, don't worry, because that's the last action for many, many chapters. First, we have to accompany the MC through 10 chapters of infancy and childhood, with homework lessons for added excitement. Then, perhaps sensing this is not moving the story forward, we discard the MC for a side quest. One triggered by the death of another character (one I care too little about to figure out how they fit in the story).
boring, simply boring mc is supposed to be a senior in highschool but he feels more like a 8 year old i truly couldnt read more as this mc made me disdain him due to his lack of iq
I mean it's no shadow slave the story can get boring at times and the whole academy arc was quite pointless, but it's a well thought out story with its fair bit of intrigue and the fighting scenes are quite well written it's one of the better books tbh.
