Apocalypse: After Being Reborn, I Stocked Up on All Supplies -
Chapter 342 - Chapter 342 Chapter 340 New Emergency Situation
Chapter 342: Chapter 340 New Emergency Situation Chapter 342: Chapter 340 New Emergency Situation “Mom, Brother Song is here!”
Hua Bao, who was guarding outside Space, had his head stuck in the room with a toothy grin while two vines secured the area Jiang Yan had left. The remaining ten vines extended out into the darkness.
Like ten surveillance monitors scattered in the corridor.
As soon as the figures of Sun Jingtao and Song Qian appeared at the end of the vines, Hua Bao quickly alerted Jiang Yan inside Space.
Jiang Yan found an East Mountain terrain and satellite map from before the apocalypse on the computer, had just printed it out, wrapped it in a waterproof bag, and put it in her backpack.
Hearing the reminder, she quickly donned her Padding jacket and exited Space with a thought.
At this moment, the temperature inside the metal house was around minus twenty degrees Celsius.
Although she was wearing the highest quality Padding jacket and her body had been enhanced, the drastic temperature difference still made Jiang Yan shiver subconsciously.
Song Qian and Sun Jingtao, hearing that Jiang Yan hadn’t left with Zhao Yougong and his wife but had stayed in the duty room where Qin Lang had found the map and food, worriedly came to check on her.
Sun Jingtao, halfway there, belatedly realized:
Could Jiang Yan’s sudden decision to stay in the inner room be because she was facing the inconvenient time of the month for a girl?
The apocalypse had changed people’s lives and habits, but menstruation, as seen with Su Dai, would still come when it was due.
The two men weren’t afraid of danger, but such caring words were absolutely impossible for them to utter.
Realizing this, Sun Jingtao paused, his expression awkward for a second,
“I forgot to call my wife over just now…”
“What’s up?” Song Qian, having been single for many years and after enduring the apocalypse for so long, did not think too much about the delicate matter and blurted out without thinking, until he suddenly realized and his face turned red:
“Maybe we should ask briefly first, for specifics, we’ll go find Su Dai.”
“Alright.”
The two men arrived at the door of the duty room and saw it was closed, exchanging glances with each other.
“Jiang Yan, are you in there?” Sun Jingtao stepped forward to knock on the door, while Song Qian raised his gun, ready to keep watch.
Whether Jiang Yan inside was safe or not, this was a warrior’s habitual action in the post-apocalyptic world.
The door creaked open, and Jiang Yan stretched out her hand to cover her mouth, yawning, her eyes sleepy as she glanced at the two men, “Haven’t you guys rested yet?”
Sun Jingtao scrambled for an excuse: “Ye Qing is on duty outside. He saw that you hadn’t returned for a long time and asked us to come and check.”
“Jiang Yan, are you alright?” Song Qian looked at Jiang Yan, his face somewhat red.
Their earlier conversation had been overheard by Hua Bao, so naturally, Jiang Yan knew about it.
She smiled, pointing at the aluminum foil Heating Blanket on the ground, “I’m fine. I’m just not used to resting in crowded places, so I’ll just stay here tonight.”
Sun Jingtao glanced at the crumpled Heating Blanket on the ground, his gaze pausing for a moment, “I forgot about your habit, I would have left the bed intact if I’d known.”
“How about this, I’ll go and get you a piece of wolf skin to bring in here. This heating blanket is too thin, not comfortable to lay on.” Song Qian said, turning to leave, but Jiang Yan quickly called out to him, “No need, Brother Song, I still have a thin blanket in my backpack.
And, I’m not used to the smell of wolf skin.”
Song Qian paused mid-step: “…”
In anyone else’s case, under such circumstances, this would be considered fussy.
But in his view, Jiang Yan had the right to be so.
“Then it’s fine, we were just worried you might be feeling unwell. If there’s anything, just message us on the walkie-talkie.” Sun Jingtao finally understood.
As long as she wasn’t physically unwell, that was all that mattered.
The rest, they believed she could handle.
“Alright, you rest first, we’ll be going then.” Song Qian added.
“Mhm.” Jiang Yan nodded, “You guys should rest quickly too, if anything comes up just call me on the walkie-talkie.”
“Sure.”
As she watched the two leave, Jiang Yan closed the door again and re-entered Space.
She had a portion of steak, then went straight to sleep.
A night of good dreams.
Before six o’clock the next day, Jiang Yan was awakened by the alarm.
After a quick wash-up and a bite to eat, she left Space.
Just as she returned to the room, the walkie-talkie crackled:
“Everyone, the Snow Wolf carcasses outside have all disappeared!”
