Chapter 225: Next Kingdom

"If Xezbeth knows, then demons such as Berith, Astaroth, Verrine, Gressil, Belias, and Rosier also know, which explains how they were able to escape. Illusions, distinctions, and much more. It is understandable why Constantine and Lady Bellatrix were able to overcome the barriers they had created together," Atlas replied.

Upon hearing this, Cassandra raised her eyebrows and said, "So what you’re trying to say is..."

"Yes. Mobilise everyone. Inform every aura master. There must be at least two within the Epsilon Empire. There may be far more high-ranking demons outside than we thought." Atlas replied.

The apocalypse seemed to be beginning, and what they knew about it was incredibly limited. If the demons outside were indeed the ones Atlas had mentioned, finding them could be incredibly difficult, even impossible.

Considering how many people they might have already corrupted, everything became terrifying, even dreadful.

Cassandra had acted immediately upon hearing Atlas’ words and left the room. Juliet, on the other hand, had begun to watch Atlas with genuine concern.

The expression on Atlas’ face, the emptiness in his eyes, and the anxiety within that emptiness were plain to see.

"Everything will be fine, Atlas," Juliet said, and then left the room.

Atlas was left behind, truly stressed. She had tried to fix everything and had made the best plan she could. But she hadn’t expected the first betrayal to come from the family of the very woman she worshipped.

"Damn it!" Atlas shouted, and in a way no one would have expected, he began throwing objects around the room and breaking things out of frustration.

By the time he had calmed down, the entire room had turned into a mess, and Atlas had already left the room. Since he was almost completely fine, the barrier had been removed.

While walking down the corridors, he saw Iso and then said, "Send someone to clean my room and bring new furniture," before walking away.

At that moment, a message window appeared right in front of him.

[I’m sorry, Atlas, I never expected something like this to happen... Especially from my own child.]

When Nyx’s message appeared in front of Atlas, he frowned and said angrily, "It’s not your fault, my lady."

After these words, he could no longer hold back and said:

"I shouldn’t have believed everything and everyone like a fool. Whether they be humans, gods, or goddesses. There will always be evil ones among them. I should have asked you to block their gaze from me. It’s all my fault."

With these words, his steps quickened, and shortly thereafter, he reached the Atlas throne room.

When he entered, he saw many vampires running from table to table, their hands full of files containing maps, sketches, and reports.

Juliet stood anxiously while Cassandra was busy giving orders to everyone.

When Atlas stopped a vampire to learn what was happening, he found out that the demons had invaded the continent closest to the Epsilon Continent in the eastern hemisphere.

According to the information he was given, Xezbeth had managed to open a portal. A teleportation portal could be opened directly from the barrier inside the demon portal to a distant region.

This made everything much easier for the demons.

When Atlas went directly to Juliet and stated that he was ready, Juliet had already understood what the young Atlas was talking about.

"There will be more than one there," Juliet had said.

"I am strong enough to kill two of them on my own. I will leave the rest to you, my lady," Atlas had replied.

With those words, Juliet took a deep breath and, without a moment’s hesitation, touched Atlas’s back, enveloping him in her aura.

The two were enveloped in the branches of the teleportation spell and opened their eyes in a battlefield within seconds. Unlike the previous battlefield, the Prion Kingdom, where half-humans resided, this place seemed to be filled with thousands of warriors.

This meant they were now in the Kingdom of Ohara. A country renowned for its warrior,s and one of the few nations outside the Epsilon Empire that had not experienced much racism.

Though not particularly powerful, they did have a significant number of warriors, or more accurately, ’magician-class’ warriors.

Unlike the kingdoms of Akairon and Prion, this was a kingdom that boasted dozens of students who had graduated from Globe.

It was definitely possible to see them.

The moment Juliet and Atlas stepped out of the teleportation device, they felt the energy coming towards them. This energy came from a combination of black magic and proper magic.

This told the pair something:

Someone was fighting a serious battle somewhere.

Atlas started running without a moment’s hesitation, and Juliet began to follow him. After covering her legs with her aura, the capacity of each of her muscles naturally increased, and Atlas’s speed surpassed Juliet’s, who was using a simple strengthening spell.

The two managed to reach the place where they felt this energy after a short time. At the same time, the ’gateway’ mentioned in the reports became visible to Atlas and Juliet’s eyes, and the two naturally began to see high-ranking demons around them.

Atlas realised that the demons he was fighting were the same students he had seen two years ago, and this made him realise they needed to act quickly.

But that wasn’t all.

Atlas could see Xezbeth, Berrith, and Rosier standing among the demons.

When Atlas noticed this, he signalled to Juliet and told her to deal with Berrith and Rosier.

He, on the other hand, began running directly towards Xezbeth.

He wasn’t idle while doing so. He had already taken the Holy Sword Delusion out of his inventory and was swinging it repeatedly, cutting off the demons’ heads. Without pausing for even a second, he was slashing another demon, saving another, and advancing towards Xezbeth.

Juliet had used her magic to remove both Berrith and Rosier from their positions and had taken them to the other end of the kingdom’s capital, as far away from the gate as possible.

Now, both Atlas and Xezbeth could be alone.
