Chapter 223: From Me?

When Atlas resumed his training, he closed his eyes and realised that nothing stood in his way of reaching the sixth level aura, that every obstacle had been removed.

So, to ensure everything was safe, he sat down on a soft spot on the floor of the room and closed his eyes.

This time, he wanted to reach the next level through meditation. To be honest, Atlas himself was afraid. It was not difficult to understand why. Unlike magic, Atlas had never reached the sixth level before.

He took a deep breath and then sent the enormous aura energy in his body to the furthest reaches of his body one last time, as if nothing had happened.

Each piece of aura energy was already in a refined state. After all, during his training, he had constantly circulated every piece of aura energy in his body and had already strengthened every muscle, nerve cell, and blood vessel.

All he had to do was spread each piece and bring this energy back to his heart, where he had chosen to store it. In this way, he would succeed in spreading aura energy from his heart as if it were blood, and thus reach the sixth level.

And that was exactly what he had done.

When everything was going well for him, his body had already begun to tremble violently, trying to fully encompass the new power he had gained.

Atlas’s skin had begun to harden, and the Diamond Body ability had become even more powerful. Not only that, but his fingernails and toenails had fallen off disgustingly, and new nails had grown back with incredible pain.

Immediately after that, Atlas’s skin had become lumpy, wrinkled like a dry region, and then shed like a snake shedding its skin.

At the same time, Atlas’s skin had once again become smooth and pure, as it had been during the previous level-up, and everything was complete.

When Atlas opened his eyes, even though he didn’t notice it, an enormous pressure had been placed on the entire Shadowfall Palace. Perhaps the palace wasn’t shaking, but this pressure could be felt by everyone.

Atlas had reached a level where he could be considered a Half-Aura Master.

It was impossible for others not to feel it.

Cassandra and Juliet had appeared in the room instantly. Both of them were staring at Atlas in shock, but Atlas could easily see the anger in Cassandra’s eyes.

It was Cassandra who had directly ordered Atlas to rest, and naturally, seeing him still training had annoyed her.

"It was for a good cause," Atlas said suddenly.

Cassandra was about to get angry at Atlas when Juliet stepped forward and lifted Atlas off the ground as if he were a cat, sending him flying into the air.

"Hahaha! Well done, Atlas! A sixth-level aura master, or rather... a half aura master, but an aura master nonetheless!!! We are so proud of you! Wait until you tell your sister, I’m sure she’ll cry!" Juliet shouted.

The Ancient Woman’s repeated shouts instantly dispelled the anger in Cassandra’s eyes, and the Vampire Queen shook her head from side to side, clearly indicating that she no longer cared.

"Well done, dear," Cassandra said, looking at Atlas.

Atlas smiled at these words, and when Juliet put him down, he said, "I really do need to clean up," and left the two alone in seconds, heading to the bathroom in the room.

After staying in the shower for almost ten minutes, she had thoroughly cleaned herself and then, when she returned to the room, sat on the bed and asked, "Well? Can I finally find out what happened in the last month?"

When she asked this question, Cassandra and Juliet’s faces seemed to darken. It was clear that both women were sad.

As soon as Atlas noticed this, he furrowed his brows and asked, "What happened?"

"There was a mistake... One of the high-level demons slipped through our fingers... Atlas... One of the southern continents has been completely destroyed," Cassandra replied.

When these words reached Atlas’s ears, his eyes widened, and he managed to ask, "How?"

"As I said, they waited for a closed time, when the flames were at their peak and especially when Cosmo and Aveline were not on duty. They analysed us through the passage inside the barrier. They managed to figure out our shift changes, when we went to check on other countries, and even the duration of our teleportation." Cassandra replied.

"That’s impossible... Do we know who the high demon that escaped is?" Atlas asked.

"We learned his name from the information Lady Nyx obtained from Michael. Demon of Lies and Legends, Xezbeth. He’s not one of the highest-level demons, but he’s pretty close to that level," Cassandra replied.

"Xezbeth shouldn’t have come out this early..." Atlas muttered suddenly, and immediately added, "Three years after the apocalypse began, when all the races of the world were trying to come together, he was going to come out to disrupt everyone’s unity..."

He didn’t stop there and began to shake his leg nervously.

"There’s no way Lady Bellatrix can get past the barrier. Especially since it was built with Constantine’s support. Have you found any information?" Atlas asked.

Cassandra and Juliet shook their heads simultaneously upon hearing the question. The two of them stared at Atlas for a moment, and Atlas couldn’t take it anymore and said, "Just tell me."

Cassandra swallowed hard and then said, "Atlas, sweetheart... They learned this from you."

As soon as Atlas heard these words, he shook his head from side to side and immediately asked, "From me?"

"Yes," said Cassandra. The look on her face was enough to explain how bad things actually were outside.

"As we heard, you were the one who broke the agreement in heaven and caused Michael’s rescue. This pushed them to monitor Lucifer more strictly, which in turn released many high-ranking demons... I hope the gods and goddesses are watching because... what we’re about to say won’t please them at all..." Juliet said.
