Chapter 220: Everything Is Fine, Really.

Chapter 220: Everything Is Fine, Really.

When Bellatrix passed among all the Sages, with the help of her magic, she managed to lift Atlas’s head slightly from where he lay, and then said, "This potion will help you a little, Atlas. Trust me, I am very close to you. I have learned a lot from the sample I took from your blood. I will save you."

Although Atlas could not understand any of these words, he continued to wait with his mouth open.

Bellatrix slowly made him drink every last drop of the potion from the bottle and then gently laid Atlas back on the bed with her magic.

The waiting had begun, but it did not last long.

The moment Atlas drank the potion, everyone in the room began to take deep breaths. Each of them kept wondering whether the potion had worked or not.

Within just a few seconds, the potion had worked directly.

It had not completely purified the poison from Atlas’s body, but a solid layer began to emerge from his body, similar to the aura he had cultivated.

This layer was not black like the aura he had been training, but instead a vibrant green and purple.

Everyone could see that Atlas’s deep breaths were slowing down, becoming calmer and stable.

Eva could no longer hold back her tears and began to cry silently, while Aveline smiled with joy.

The ancient dragon Aveline could see... and hear what was happening inside Atlas’s body. She could sense how the immense power of the demon’s venom had suddenly diminished.

Everyone was able to breathe deeply with ease as the adrenaline in their bodies subsided, and Bellatrix, with a big smile on her face, filled several bottles with the solid substance coming out of Atlas’s body and immediately left the room, while Atlas was finally able to open his eyes with ease.

The toxin level in his body had dropped by 20%, which was a massive difference. The blurriness in his eyes had vanished, and not only that, he could actually breathe again.

Atlas’s gaze immediately locked onto Cordelia’s face.

He could see that Cordelia was angry, but the old Sage’s eyes continued to show a great sense of relief.

"I told you... I wouldn’t die..." Atlas said suddenly.

Although his words made Cordelia even angrier, the old Sage chose not to say anything.

With that, Atlas closed his eyes again and, reluctantly, fell asleep after a short while.

The disappearance of twenty per cent of the poison from his body had almost restored him to normal. Although he was not normal while he slept, he had a dream that was close to normal. Not only that, but he found himself fighting against the devil’s poison in that strange place.

His only problem now was that he was sweating profusely in his sleep.

Another week passed before Atlas was awakened by Bellatrix herself.

Bellatrix was holding a bottle in her hand. Inside the bottle was a small, blue, shimmering liquid. Atlas would later learn that this liquid contained [the tears of a thousand-year-old phoenix, ancient dragon tears, qilin tears, and even a star drop blessed by Nyx herself].

Even just one of these ingredients would be enough to buy continents. Possessing the Ancient Dragon Tear was a special privilege. This Ancient Dragon Tear did not come from an ordinary ancient dragon, but from Cosmo himself.

The few tears Cosmo shed for Atlas were capable of creating the most powerful effect.

The Star Drop had been bestowed upon Eva herself, and the other two items had been given from Cordelia’s belongings.

Nevertheless, the antidote Bellatrix had hoped for had been successfully created.

At least, Bellatrix hoped that was the case.

If she failed, she would somehow ensure that Atlas’ condition remained stable and give herself more time, but even someone like Bellatrix was praying with all her heart for the potion to work.

When Atlas opened his eyes properly and saw Bellatrix’s smiling face, he jokingly said, "It took you long enough," and Bellatrix, unable to resist laughing at his sense of humour even in such a situation, gently straightened Atlas with her magic.

Bellatrix opened the potion bottle and gently made sure Atlas drank every drop inside, then laid him back on the bed.

The potion worked instantly once again.

Atlas began to feel the unbearable pain in his body again, but he could tell that the pain was gradually leaving his body.

The bruises under his eyes seemed to be healing, and despite writhing in bed, jade green and purple solid substances continued to emerge from his body.

Atlas began to feel his heart beating again, completely at ease, and he noticed that his mind had cleared and he had regained control of his legs and arms.

Not only that, but his fourth magic ring, the poison magic ring, had grown slightly. It was strange; Atlas had never heard of such a thing before, but to be honest, he couldn’t say it mattered much to him at the moment.

After all, he just...literally survived with the help of a Sage. He couldn’t care less if he somehow got stronger.

He managed to pull himself together and then smiled, saying, "Sage of Seals indeed... The best alchemist who ever lived."

Bellatrix could no longer hold back, and tears began to stream down her face.

The only ones not crying in the room were Talon and Cosmo, and even Cordelia couldn’t control her tears.

An hour passed, and when Atlas was teleported to Shadowfall Castle, everything was shared with Cassandra, Juliet, and, of course, Irene.

Their reactions were understandable.

Cassandra really tried to leave to scold Cordelia, but Talon and Constantine managed to stop her.

Juliet, to put it bluntly, had embraced Atlas, whom she had begun to see as her little brother, and hadn’t let go for minutes.

Irene, on the other hand, had punched Atlas’s shoulder repeatedly. Irene didn’t want to lose each other again. The last thing she wanted was to part ways with her closest friend once more.

At least... for now, everything had returned to normal.
