Chapter 209: Final Point Before War Starts

Atlas could immediately understand that this was the third selection, meaning that Selene would fill the rest.

Still, this time the pain was more bearable. This was a good thing because the pain he had felt just a short while ago was truly worse than death itself.

After managing to keep his mind steady, within nearly an hour, the spiral-shaped golden runes on Atlas’s right arm had filled up.

It was as if Eos’s base tattoo represented Dawn, and Helios’s represented Sun. In that case, the third option, Selene, would represent Moon, or its other name, which was quite understandable.

When Atlas opened the panel again and selected Selene’s name this time, everything seemed to come together.

When he accepted the system warning, despite it being annoying, he lost consciousness and, upon waking up, accepted every word Selene had said as if nothing had happened.

When he came to again, despite his arm still trembling, the third process had begun, and runes that appeared to be made of pure white light were being drawn one by one into the empty spaces of the runic tattoos bestowed by Helios.

This time, the pain was almost non-existent. Atlas’s left arm must have become incredibly resilient.

But that wasn’t all... It seemed as though each rune from Selene was activating the other two powers. It wasn’t such a painful experience. The knife blows were no longer devastating; instead, they felt like a tingling sensation in his right arm.

It felt as though... everything was falling into place.

He held himself steady and waited for the drawing of the pure white runes to finish in a short time.

The entire process took only an hour. Exactly one hour, not a minute more, not a minute less.

Atlas finally managed to take a deep breath and did not neglect to drink a few bottles of water to fully recover.

After regaining his composure, he noticed the system notification that occasionally appeared at the corner of his eye. This time, it wasn’t a message or anything else. It seemed as though the system itself had been holding back these notifications to give him some time to relax.

When Atlas made a strange face and said, "Open the system panel," four notifications appeared in front of him.

[Dawn’s Tattoo (Legendary+++++/Passive)

Dawn can never function without the Sun and the Moon. She initiates the cycle of nature, the existence of the day, accompanies her brother Helios throughout the day, and watches her sister Selene rise. The Sun and the Moon cannot function without the Dawn, and the Dawn cannot function without the Sun and the Moon. Everything is within a cycle of balance and equilibrium.

Eos, Helios, and Selene.

[Sun’s Tattoo (Legendary+++++/Passive)

The Sun never, ever sets out on his journey without greeting the Moon and the Dawn. After worshipping Hemera, the embodiment of the day, Helios sets out on his journey with the Dawn as the embodiment of daylight. Helios is the one who connects dawn to night and ultimately reaches his sister Selene. The Dawn and the Moon cannot function without the Sun, and the Sun cannot function without the Moon and the Dawn. Everything is within a cycle of balance and equilibrium.

This ability will enhance every ability in the user’s body by 50% under daylight.

This ability will increase the effect of every elixir that enters the user’s body by 100%.

This ability will increase the learning time of every technique the user learns, the power of the ability when learned, and the user’s zakah by a certain portion when learned.

This ability will never work without the MOON and the DAWN.]

[Moon’s Tattoo (Legendary+++++/Passive)

The Moon never sets out on her journey without receiving the Sun’s greeting, and she never leaves herself to the sunrise without greeting her sister Eos. She greets Hemera and experiences Nyx’s starry night, reflecting the sun’s light onto the world, ensuring that everything is in proportion. The Sun and the Dawn cannot function without the Moon, and the Moon cannot function without the Sun and the Dawn. Everything is part of a cycle of balance and equilibrium.

This ability will enhance every ability in the user’s body by 50% under moonlight.

This ability will make every joint, muscle, and piece of skin in the user’s body stronger and more elastic.

This ability will increase the user’s endurance by 200% in situations where the user perceives ’war and enemies.’ This feature will not affect the user’s ’Endurance’ status.

This ability will never work without the SUN and the DAWN.]

After reading all these abilities, Atlas smiled and could truly see that the trio worked together. But that wasn’t all. The perfection of the details in the abilities, how close the three siblings were to each other, and how powerful the abilities they had given him were, made his smile seem perfectly natural.

But that wasn’t all. Atlas saw another notification. This was the notification that made him the happiest:

[Three Of Them (Legendary+++++/Active)

The trio found someone they could choose and trust. Sun, Moon, and Dawn managed to find someone they could bestow their powers upon. The user became someone who could carry the trust and hope of the three.

The user will be able to activate their rune tattoos during battle. Each activated rune tattoo will grant the user +1 stat point during battle. These stat points will be added to every stat, including ’Intelligence.’]

After all this, Atlas took a deep breath as if he knew exactly what he had to do next. Within seconds, he closed his eyes and continued his training as he had done the day before.

Even if he wasn’t aware of it, the battle was drawing near.

The Devil Worshippers were indeed the ones who possessed the Life Stone. The fact that the Sages and others had stopped searching for them and begun preparing for war had given the Devil Worshippers a chance. As if nothing had happened, they foolishly opened the gate.

The preparations were complete. The Life Stone simply needed more time than necessary to open the gate.

Exactly one year. Exactly one year from the present time.

This period had passed quickly. When Atlas increased the number of magic rings to eleven, he had already nearly reached the highest level that an ordinary magician could achieve.

The ninth magic ring represented transparent white, which is air; the tenth magic ring represented dark blue, which is lightning; and the eleventh magic ring represented light blue, which is water.

Not only that, but Atlas had also managed to raise his aura level to nearly the sixth level.

Though saying ’nearly’ was almost an overstatement. After all, only 50% of the aura level had been completed. Still, this was an enormous achievement.

With the three extra rights he had earned, he had received gifts from the witch Circe, the goddess Demeter, and the goddess Athena herself, and the gifts he had received were rings that could strengthen him.

The three rings he wore on the ring finger, middle finger, and index finger of his left hand gave him certain powers.

He had received a ring from Circe that gave him affinity with all living things and a more stable mind, Demeter had given him a truly powerful ring that would make him resistant to many elements, and Athena, as a master of craftsmanship, had given Atlas a ring that would protect him from a deadly attack three times.

With this, Atlas’s education was complete. Indeed, throughout this entire period, he had done the best he could, obtaining the best possible education and managing to spend this time in detail.

During the intervening period, Atlas had already passed the age of eighteen. He was now considered a full adult, and all titles had been transferred to him.

In short, the title of Duke, which had been bestowed upon him, had truly become his own.

After thoroughly cleansing himself, he left the resting area and once again encountered Emma. However, this time, Atlas did not greet Emma.

The sole reason for this was the warning he had received from Nyx the moment his training had ended.

The passage had already been opened. Most of the Sages had scattered, and only Cassandra and Juliet remained in the Shadowfall Palace, the main centre of the battle.

Atlas began to move quickly through the palace, walking past every servant and knight he saw.

When he reached the door of the throne room, one of the highest and most important points in the palace, he entered and saw Cassandra and Juliet.

The battle had now fully begun, and the main general of the war, the one who had witnessed the battle before, had emerged.

Everything was in order. The demons must now be destroyed, and Lucifer must be saved somehow.
