Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes -
Chapter 201: Olympos Hall
Chapter 201: Olympos Hall
Atlas currently has exactly five uses of the Hero Connecting ability. It had been quite some time since he last used it.
That was precisely why he wanted to do this—to ensure everything was ready and to become even stronger.
For a short while, Atlas had been constantly mentioning the names of gods and goddesses. What he truly desired was neither mana nor aura energy; after all, he had already managed to obtain a body capable of producing vast amounts of both.
What he sought was ’strength.’
Pure, immovable power.
Power that would never be destroyed, and even if it were destroyed in an instant, it would rise again and deliver one final blow.
That was precisely why Atlas had turned towards the person he needed to find. He began to go through the letters one by one.
"D"
"E"
"F"
"G"
After going through each letter and hundreds of names one by one, he had found the person he needed to reach.
"H"
The God of Heroes and Strength. The hero of the 12 trials and perhaps one of the few gods who had suffered the most among all the gods... perhaps the one at the top.
The sole, unshakable power: Hercules.
As soon as Atlas found his name on the system panel, he clicked on it and, without a moment’s hesitation, accepted the system warning, feeling his consciousness begin to fade.
After resting his head comfortably on the wood, he let himself go completely and closed his eyes.
When he opened his eyes again, he could see that he was in a completely new place.
It was a place filled with light, as if everything was made of white marble and gold plating. Even though he couldn’t quite figure out where he was, Atlas could see the huge man in front of him.
"Master Hercules," Atlas said politely and bowed his head in front of this man, the hero of heroes.
Even though Atlas did not realise it, there were dozens of gods and goddesses in the place where he was now. Among these gods and goddesses were the great 12 of Olympus and many of the Chaos-Born.
Nyx and Erebus were also among them.
Atlas could not see them, and the sole reason for this was that the man before him was perhaps the god he respected most in this life.
He was a god whose tales of heroism had shaken the entire world. Even better, he was a god who valued the races of the world greatly.
"No one here expected you to choose me, to be honest, young man," he said suddenly in a harsh, rough tone.
When Atlas heard these words, he raised his head and looked at Hercules, saying, "I only need something to strengthen my body, sir. Even though the pill or whatever was given to me did a very good job, I can feel that barrier slowly beginning to break. The power of the Life Stone is too much."
When Hercules heard these words, he shook his head and said, "It’s possible. I can give you such an ability."
At the same time, Atlas’s eyes, which had grown accustomed to the glare of the pure white marble and gold plating around him, began to see those around him more clearly.
"Oh... I’m sorry, I didn’t notice," Atlas replied, and then he saw Nyx and Erebus sitting directly where the staircase began.
Even though he noticed the Chaos-Borns surrounding Nyx, and even though he could see the Olympian gods around him, his eyes were fixed directly on Nyx.
Nyx’s gaze was gentle. The ancient goddess looked at Atlas as if she were looking at her own child.
"My lady. Forgive me," Atlas said and knelt down.
Before Atlas could even understand what was happening, Nyx enveloped him in her spell, just as Cordelia had done, and then placed him directly in her lap.
Atlas furrowed his brows instantly, but before he could react, his body had shrunk. When he looked at his hands, he could see that he had returned to his childhood form.
"What the hell?" Atlas muttered.
"Despite all the pain you’ve been through, you keep going... It wasn’t just the Sages who saw your memories, you know that, right?" Nyx asked suddenly.
With that, Atlas’s expression changed completely. Everyone in the field could sense his feelings and thoughts... After all, that was one of the characteristics of being a god or goddess.
The thoughts they saw... or rather, the things Atlas was currently remembering, the things flowing into his mind, were not a good sign.
Atlas, who was thinking about the death of another person every second, looked at Nyx’s face after a short while and said, "I have a sister I need to look after, my lady," and fell silent.
Nyx then restored Atlas’s body to its original state and set him down from her lap.
"If that’s what you say, then so be it... Still, if you die somehow, your destination is clear; there’s no need to worry," Nyx replied calmly.
Atlas didn’t quite understand what Nyx was talking about, but he nodded and said, "As you wish, my lady," and fell silent.
"There are many more gods and goddesses for me to choose from... So I’d be happy if we could hurry," said Atlas, and suddenly looked around as if something had occurred to him.
When he saw Hermes standing a few metres away at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the throne, he said, "Thank you very much for your help, sir. There is no way I can repay you. Thank you very much," and fell silent.
Hermes just smiled kindly and nodded his head proudly.
"Well, then, our work is done," Hercules said suddenly, and with that, Atlas’s spirit was shaken. When Atlas, whose eyes had closed with difficulty, opened them again in reality, he smiled and began to observe the ability Hercules had given him.
The ability was called ’Unshakable Body.’ To be honest, the name of the ability didn’t seem particularly powerful. After all, there were aura techniques called that in the human world, but when it came to the ability’s characteristics...
That’s when everything changed completely.
