Chapter 200: Hercules
Chapter 200: Hercules
"You look happy, Emma," Atlas said jokingly.
As soon as Emma heard these words, her eyes narrowed as if she were moved, and then she asked, "What servant would not rejoice when their master grows stronger, sir?"
Atlas immediately placed his hand on Emma’s shoulder, just above her shoulder blade, and then tapped it twice gently, saying, "You are no servant, Emma, you are family." He then turned around and said, "Let’s go."
Emma immediately nodded and began to follow Atlas. The reports had to reach Atlas.
When Emma and Atlas reached the throne room a short time later, the doors opened and they saw Cordelia sitting on the throne and the other Sages talking at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the throne.
Cordelia and the others looked up when they heard the doors open.
"Atlas!" Cordelia exclaimed. Like every Sage, Cordelia was surprised when she noticed the power emanating from Atlas’s body.
There was nothing to be surprised about anymore, since Atlas had done this many times before, and the fact that the Life Stone was in his body now meant that he could do it every time he trained himself.
"I don’t know how long I’ve been training, but I see changes in the throne room," Atlas said with a smile.
Before Cordelia and the others could even respond, Atlas noticed the message window that had appeared at the corner of his eye, which read [9 months].
"Nine months, is that right? That’s quite a short time. Definitely encouraging," he muttered, then glanced around the throne room again.
Inside the throne room, there were dozens of tables, and dozens of people working at each table. These people, from different races, were reviewing the papers and sketches on the parchments in front of them.
It was clear that each of them was an architect and engineer.
"We have to build, Atlas. We have big plans for the Shorekeeper Duchy in the future. We discussed all these plans with Aether and reached an agreement... Of course, each of them will exist in the future, not very shortly, but at least we managed to lay the foundation for the agreement," Cordelia said suddenly.
Atlas raised an eyebrow at these words and asked, "What kind of plans?" Cordelia replied, "Plans that we need to discuss in a private setting."
Atlas shook his head, not wanting to pry further, and then asked, "What about the war plans?"
With this question, Cordelia lifted Atlas from his seat with her magic and set him on the throne.
At the same time, a table appeared in front of Atlas, and on the table were more than fifty documents.
"Check a few of them," Cordelia said.
When Atlas picked up the top document and opened it, he found several detailed reports. The formula that Atlas had previously given to Dumgrith to help open the secret dungeons had been further developed and was now being used in each of the secret dungeons.
Not only that, but every kingdom on the Epsilon Continent, primarily the Kingdom of Akairon, was sealed off with barriers.
Every person within them had been personally screened by the Sages, and it was certain that no one worshipped either an angel or a demon.
In short, after the barriers were erected on the Epsilon Continent, it was confirmed that there was no evil present and that the regions were filled with people whose karma was almost entirely positive.
Atlas looked at one document after another, and each time, the adrenaline in his body increased, and the smile on his face grew. Each document contained dozens of similar reports and plans, and when combined, they showed that everything was beginning to work.
Atlas was so excited that he tightly held one of the documents and buried his head in it, as if to hide his smile.
It was understandable that he was trembling with excitement and joy—how could he not be happy? The fact that the losses he had suffered in his previous life, his heroism that had been in vain, and perhaps even his death would not come to pass was driving him mad with joy.
After composing himself in a short time, Atlas said, "We must continue like this, each one is joyful," and then opened the system window as if nothing had happened.
While the Sages were trying to figure out what he was trying to do, Atlas turned to them and said, "I will speak with the gods now."
Each Sage shook their head at that moment and continued with their work as if nothing had happened.
Of course, Atlas eventually had to use the system and his abilities. He said, "Hero Connecting," as if nothing had happened, and the large panel in front of him opened.
Atlas had exactly five uses left of his Hero Connecting ability. It had been quite some time since he had last used it.
That was precisely why he wanted to do this: to make sure everything was ready and to become even stronger.
For a short while, Atlas had been repeating the names of gods and goddesses. What he truly desired was neither mana nor aura energy; after all, he had already managed to obtain a body capable of producing vast amounts of both.
What he sought was "power."
Pure, unyielding power.
Power that would never be destroyed, and even if it were destroyed in an instant, it would rise again and deliver one final blow.
That was precisely why Atlas had turned toward the person he needed to find. He began to go through the letters one by one.
"D"
"E"
"F"
"G"
After going through each letter and hundreds of names one by one, he had found the person he needed to reach.
"H"
The God of Heroes and Strength. The leader of the 12 trials and perhaps one of the few gods who had suffered the most among all the gods... perhaps the one at the top.
The sole, unshakable strength: Hercules.
