Chapter 191: Stuck For 2 Weeks?

"I heard you saved my brother. Demons talk too much, you know? My pride has gotten the better of me, as you can see."

"What I threw at you was a talent pill. It’s something that even gods and goddesses can hardly get their hands on, and it allows them to copy their own talents and give them to others. I received it as a worship gift from someone I no longer remember in my youth, as a focus. Now it’s yours... and so is the talent inside it."

When Lucifer heard these words, Atlas stared at him and couldn’t say a thing.

Lucifer must have noticed this, for he looked into his eyes and asked, "Aren’t you going to say anything, little man?" He continued to call Atlas ’little man.’

When Atlas heard these words, he scratched his head and then asked, as if nothing had happened, "Sir, what exactly do you want from me?"

It was a question that needed to be asked.

"Atlas," Lucifer said suddenly, his steady but gentle tone from just a few seconds ago disappearing, replaced by the harsh and serious voice of the Devil of Pride, the Lord of Hell.

"When you swallow that pill, you will realise everything, but never forget! Never, ever forget that you must put that pill in your mouth at the moment when you think you are going to die, when everyone you love is going to die, otherwise you will gain nothing. Never forget this, Atlas, it is very important. This is exactly what I wanted from you. Don’t try to save me. Don’t try to find the Life Stone; you won’t find it. I don’t know where they hid it, but they’ve even found a way to escape the Sages’ magic!" Lucifer said suddenly.

Every word confused Atlas even more, but despite all this, Atlas was trying to pull himself together.

Just as he was about to ask Lucifer something, suddenly, from afar, a few voices came from outside the room where Atlas and Lucifer were:

"Hah! Lucifer is talking to himself again!"

"Stupid fool, once a great warrior, our master, now look at him, a madman talking to himself!"

As soon as Lucifer heard these voices, he snapped his fingers.

As he snapped his fingers, Atlas began to disappear, and Lucifer, pressing his head against the bars of the cage, shouted, "Don’t forget, Atlas! You can only swallow that pill in your darkest hour!"

With that, Atlas vanished, leaving only Lucifer and his words behind:

"It was such a short time... Damn it! There were dozens of things I needed to tell him! At least... I delivered the pill... The rest is up to you, little man, to change your destiny."

When Atlas opened his eyes again, he found himself in the middle of the throne room of his palace. Juliet was standing before him, holding a staff in the air.

Atlas immediately realised that the staff was in the air to attack him and stepped a few paces away from Juliet, shouting, "Have you lost your mind?!"

When Juliet heard this question, she threw the staff aside, and as it fell to the ground, it left a flower behind and vanished.

"You’re the one who’s lost your mind, you fool! Do you know how long you’ve been standing there?" Juliet suddenly shouted. She shouted very loudly, and her voice echoed throughout the throne room.

Atlas, upon hearing this question, shook his head and asked, "I don’t understand?" as if he knew he had only spoken with Lucifer for a maximum of five minutes.

At that moment, he looked around at those present and saw the sorrow on the faces of everyone, including Cassandra.

Atlas realised at that moment that something had gone terribly wrong. It wasn’t just Cassandra, Juliet, Emma, and Iso in the throne room... Aether, Aelia, Eva, Cordelia, and the remaining Sages were also there.

"What happened?" Atlas asked calmly.

Juliet replied as soon as she heard the question, "You’ve been frozen for two weeks. Your heart was beating, you were breathing, but you were standing in the same position with your eyes closed, Atlas."

Upon hearing these words, Atlas’s eyes widened in disbelief. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. It wasn’t very realistic to believe it anyway. He could even swear that he had only spent a very short time with Lucifer.

"I... I don’t know what happened... I was talking to Lucifer, but we only spoke for five minutes, I swear!" Atlas said immediately.

At his words, not only those in the throne room but even the gods and goddesses watching from the sacred realm stared at him in disbelief.

"Lucifer?" Aelia asked suddenly, acting before anyone else and stepping towards Atlas, taking her precious nephew by the cheeks and looking at him.

"Y—yes?" Atlas replied.

"Atlas... What happened?" Cordelia asked suddenly. As soon as the Ancient Woman opened her mouth, everyone fell completely silent. The entire throne room had become utterly still, not a single sound to be heard.

"Well... It’s not a very long story..." said Atlas, then reached into his inventory and pulled out the pill Lucifer had thrown at him.

Seeing this pill, Cordelia and the others were so shocked they were almost speechless.

"You must tell us everything," said Cordelia immediately... It was a natural reaction.

As soon as Atlas heard these words, he began to speak and, in almost fifteen minutes, recounted everything that had happened from the moment they were teleported from Lynx’s territory to the present.

He described Lucifer’s appearance, how he was imprisoned in a cage, and every other detail without skipping a single thing.

After listening to everything, Cordelia scratched her chin and asked, "So, you’re going to lose everyone you love? Or maybe the potion won’t work... This is an unnecessary risk, something that’s almost impossible to happen. After all, you have the support of the Imperial family and your sister, and all the Sages are behind you... Could this be a warning?"

It was a quite reasonable thought... But the reality... was not quite accurate.
