Alpha's Bite Between My Legs
Chapter 98: The Unknown King

Chapter 98: The Unknown King

Rosina didn’t know how many days had been since they started traveling non-stop. They would only stop for a few minutes before they started moving again.

’My back aches,’ Rosina thought as she scooted over to have a good position to lie on, but the hard floor was making it worst. Her stomach also grumbled from hunger. They still weren’t fed from the entire time they spent traveling.

Even though Rosina was hungry, she was still functioning well due to the souls she had eaten from the male wolves, but she was a bit concerned about the other she-wolves since they all looked weak from the lack of water and food to supply their bodies.

Rosina could feel their heartbeat much slower than the usual beating.

’Their wolves are getting weaker each day, too,’ Rosina thought. The wolves inside the human body were the ones that helped maintain human function in case of emergency. It was basically two souls in one body.

Rosina took a peek outside when she smelled the boss’s scent. She crunched her nose since the scent was too much for her.

’I’ll just sleep,’ Rosina thought and positioned her head to one of the she-wolf’s thighs for comfort. ’Ah, thighs are the best pillow.’

Rosina was about to fall asleep when the carriage stopped, which led her to wake up since their body moved to the other side due to the force emitted by the carriage.

"We have arrived! Everyone, prepare for the arrival," the boss’s voice shouted firmly. The sound of footsteps echoed inside the carriage as the men prepared themselves.

’I’m finally here in the buyer’s place,’ Rosina thought. After a few minutes, the carriage started running again. She felt the change of atmosphere since they were entering a territory.

’Are we in a pack?’ Rosina thought, and her mind tried to remember all of the Werewolf pack inside the realm. She had been to most packs, which made her remember the scent of each one, but currently, her mind was confused since the smell was different.

’Where are we?’ Rosina thought and took a peek outside, but it was all trees. It was worst since it was nighttime, making everything dark.

The scent that the pack emitted was strong. Rosina couldn’t describe what it was, but it made her bones shake for unknown reasons.

’This scent...’ Rosina thought and took a massive inhalation of the hair. Her eyes bulged open when the smell caught up in her throat, which made her cough, but she bit her tongue before she could to avoid any sound from escaping.

Rosina’s brain started pulsing hard. She felt like a lock was destroyed inside and a surge of memories threatened to escape, but what concerned Rosina the most was that she realized the scent was familiar.

Although it was different, something mixed with the scent made Rosina realize that she had been there.

’I need to know where I am,’ Rosina thought while trying hard not to cough out loud.

After fifteen minutes, the carriage stopped, and multiple voices were heard outside. It didn’t take long before the carriage door opened.

"These are the goods," the boss stated, treating the she-wolves as an item that could be sold.

"That’s good," a new voice spoke and closed the door again. "We’ll bring them to the cells. The King was still in the pack meeting."

’King?’ Rosina was confused when she heard the word ’King.’ There was only one King in the Werewolf realm, and having another one made her more curious.

The carriage started moving again and later stopped. The door opened, and the male wolves went inside and grabbed the unconscious she-wolves, carrying them toward the cells.

Rosina let her body soft in the act of being asleep. She also regulated her heartbeat to become slower than usual. She was carried by a man and was placed inside the dark cell alone.

It took a while before the she-wolves were all placed inside, and they locked the main door. Darkness engulfed the whole place, but it wasn’t much of a problem for werewolves since they could adjust their eyesight in the dark, one of their skills.

Rosina’s ears twitched as she listened to the footsteps, indicating whether they were gone or still there. When everything was silent, and all the sounds were coming from the she-wolves, Rosina opened her eyes.

’This is a sh*tty place,’ Rosina thought while looking around. The place was in a mess. It looked old but still functioning. The cells were made of silver, which weakened the wolves more.

Rosina looked at the she-wolves lying on the hard, cold floor. She was amazed that they were still unconscious after all that had happened.

’I don’t know if their wolf was weak enough to wake them up or strong enough to sustain their human bodies for this long without food,’ Rosina thought while shaking her head. She stood up and walked around the cell.

’I don’t even have a place to pee or poop on,’ Rosina thought since her bladder was screaming for a release. She had been holding it in for quite a while, but she couldn’t if she stayed there for long without releasing it.

’Well, I should be glad that this cell is clean,’ Rosina added and sat on the ground. The floor had several straws, but it wasn’t enough to give comfort.

The sound of several footsteps was heard outside, and the lock’s unlocked door echoed inside the room before it opened, revealing a huge, tall man towering over the other wolves around him.

"These are the she-wolves you have gotten?" the man’s voice was deep and sharp as he talked to the boss of the kidnapping.

"Yes, these are the girls you wanted. We actually found a high-quality woman for you, my King," the boss stated with a bow.

They walked to each one of the cells to check on the she-wolves and looked at their appearance. That time, Rosina didn’t act asleep. She was sitting in her cell, waiting for the man she wanted to meet.

"Ah! she’s awake. This is the one I’m talking about," the boss stated while pointing at Rosina.

Although it was dark, the only light was coming from the torch a servant was holding. The King’s figure was evident in the shadows.

The King walked toward Rosina’s cell to have a closer look.

Rosina stared at his emerald eyes without fear. She wanted to paste his facial features on her mind to avoid forgetting about him.

"So, you are the King of this pack," Rosina stated nonchalantly. She didn’t want to act weak or kind since she knew the only way to survive was to show that she wasn’t afraid of them. She knew that place wasn’t the typical Werewolf pack in the realm.

The corner of the King’s lips curled up into a smirk. He found Rosina’s action amusing since he always encountered she-wolves with fearful or bratty eyes every time he met them, but for Rosina. All he saw was a strong she-wolf.

The King didn’t answer and took a step back and looked at the boss with satisfaction. He took a pouch from the side and threw it against the boss.

"That’s a bonus for getting this woman," the King stated and walked away to look at the other she-wolves.

Rosina thought she would be left behind, but to her surprise, the servants opened her cell, and another tall man entered.

The man’s eyes stared down at her with dislike. "Extend your hand, and don’t fight back if you value your life."

Rosina didn’t say anything and followed his instructions. After all, she wanted to see what pack she had arrived in. Her curiosity was getting stronger each second.

The man put on a set of chains on her wrist and feet. He took her outside the cell and pulled her with him.

Rosina glanced back at the King, which was still inside. To her surprise, the King was already looking at her with cold eyes. She smiled at him before she ultimately left the room.

’We’re in the underground,’ Rosina thought. They were walking on the spiral stairs that kept going up. In the end, was a massive door that would lead them outside.

Two guards were stationed, and they opened the door once they got closer. On the other side was a long hallway in dark colors, making the room even darker at night.

Rosina stared at the man’s back. His sculptured body was evident on the thin fabric of his shirt that could barely hold still without threatening to get ripped at any moment. This made Rosina think that it was intentional.

’He must be a high-ranking wolf in this pack,’ Rosina thought when she sensed his aura. It was stronger than the rest but a bit weaker compared to the man they called ’King.’

"Tell me, where am I?" Rosina asked in a deadpan tone, but the man ignored her. She only received a growl as a response to her question.
