Chapter 91: The Kidnapping
Chapter 91: The Kidnapping
Rosina held Silvio’s hand as they walked toward the road to go to another shop. She had a broad smile on her face as Silvio followed whatever she wanted to do.
On the other side, Silvio was busy looking around for any possible danger they might encounter from outside. His instincts were tingling behind his back, indicating that an enemy was following them behind.
"Your Highne- Rosina, I think we should go back," Silvio leaned down and whispered in Rosina’s ears.
That action made Rosina turn around, which made their faces inches apart, and their lips were about to touch if Silvio didn’t have a quicker reflex and was able to step back before the contact happened.
"What did I tell you again?" Rosina leaned closer with a knowing look. Her hands were behind her back to give an innocent face.
Silvio pursed his lips and sighed deeply. He knew he had told Rosina about returning to the Palace a few more times, but he was concerned about her safety.
"I know, but-" Silvio reasoned out, but Rosina’s index finger was placed on his lips to shut him up.
"Let us enjoy ourselves," Rosina stated and pulled Silvio closer as they entered another shop that sold cute hand-made jewelry pieces.
Rosina glanced back. She knew that a group of male wolves had been following behind them for quite some time, and their actions showed that they were plotting against them.
"Do you think this suited me?" Rosina exclaimed and placed a necklace on her neck to show Silvio, who just nodded his head in agreement.
"Yes," Silvio replied shortly and looked back to the group of wolves waiting outside the shop, and one of them entered inside.
Rosina felt the tingles on her skin, symbolizing that an enemy had approached her comfort zone. She acted carefree and didn’t care much to show that she was unaware of their motives toward her.
Silvio saw a man approaching Rosina before he could go toward her. Someone pulled his arm away, taking his attention away from Rosina.
"Hello, handsome man. Do you want to buy this one?" a she-wolf stated and showed him a huge butterfly necklace glistened under the light.
"No," Silvio answered flatly and looked in Rosina’s direction when another she-wolf pulled his arm.
"You can buy this ring for your mate, handsome man," a girl stated and showed Silvio a red box containing a plain golden ring with a rose pattern in the middle with a red gem.
The sight of the ring took Silvio’s attention since the item caught his interest as it related to Rosina’s name.
"I’ll take it," Silvio answered and pulled out his pouch to pay for the jewelry with a huge smile on his face since he was eager to give it to Rosina.
The she-wolf gave the bag with a smirk on her lips before going back inside the backroom and was never seen again.
Silvio looked up to look for Rosina when he couldn’t see her figure inside the store. His heartbeat began to pump aggressively when he searched all around the place, but there was no single sight of her.
"Rosina!" Silvio screamed Rosina’s name multiple times to get her attention in case she had been inside the store hidden in the darkness, but no one answered. The wolves around him were also looking at him with confusion in their eyes since he had been loud, and it was pissing them off.
"Sh*t!" Silvio cursed himself as he went out of the store. That was when he realized that the group of men standing outside the store had vanished, and they were nowhere in sight.
"That girl!" Silvio exclaimed under her breath before going back inside the store and looking at the two she-wolves that had distracted his attention, but he didn’t know their shadow.
With desperation, Silvio went to the counter and asked about the girl’s appearance and if they were working in the store itself, but the staff was shooking their heads, indicating that they knew no one like them that was working in the store.
"Oh, goddess!" Silvio exclaimed and rubbed his face before running outside the store to look for Rosina. He didn’t know where he would be going, but he was tracing back the road they had walked, hoping that he would see her or any clue that could lead him to find her.
_-_-_
On the other side, Rosina was with the group of male wolves that had taken her. She willingly followed them without restraint since they offered her a good deal. Although, she knew it was a lie.
Prior to Rosina’s current situation. A man went toward her inside the jewelry store and stated that he knew where they sell actual diamond blocks and that they could give Rosina a low price if she came with them.
Rosina acted innocent and agreed with them. It was known that most nobles were into pieces of jewelry and other extravagant things that would make them look rich and wealthy enough to boost against other nobles.
"Okay, let me check it myself," Rosina stated with an innocent smile before going with the man, who had a wide smirk when she agreed quickly.
Rosina glanced at Silvio, who got entertained by she-wolves to distract him from protecting her. She shrugged it off since she didn’t need him that much and was curious about what wouldout to happen to her.
’This isn’t the first time they have done this,’ Rosina thought while looking at the man’s back. He had a massive scar on both his shoulder that looked like a sunflower.
Rosina saw the satisfied look of the other male wolves that surrounded her as they walked in the road, making her appearance swallowed by their height.
’They were making sure that I remain unnoticed by the other wolves around,’ Rosina thought before glancing back. She sniffed in the air, and Silvio’s scent was a bit far from her.
’Don’t find me yet, Silvio,’ Rosina thought.
"Here," the man who approached her gave her a black cloak. She didn’t ask further and just wore them. Behind one of the old buildings around, a carriage was waiting for them. It was huge and had a brown cloth dripped everywhere to prevent the public from seeing what was inside.
"This is our transportation?" Rosina asked innocently and tilted her head to the side.
"Yes," the man smiled and opened the door for her.
That was when Rosina saw a couple of women lying unconscious on the chairs with hands tied behind their backs, and a piece of cloth was placed on their mouths.
Before Rosina could react, she felt a hand behind her neck. The force was enough to make her unconscious. Her body fell to the ground, and the men hurriedly tied her up and placed her between the two bodies.
"Ah! We have completed our quota, boss," the man stated and stepped back.
A new man that was hiding behind the carriage came to check on their women.
"They all look nice, especially that one," the boss pointed toward Rosina with a grin. "She will fetch a high price."
While the men were talking about money and how they would party after they got the money from their buyers. Rosina was actually listening to their conversation.
Before Rosina got smacked behind her neck. She had already prepared for the impact and tightened the muscles on her back to keep her unaffected.
That was why she was still conscious.
Rosina opened her left eye as it glowed a bright green. She was checking whether the she-wolves inside the carriage were still alive. A series of slow breathing echoed inside Rosina’s ears, indicating they were alive.
The cloth that was placed on Rosina’s mouth had a slight hint of a drug that would make the wolf weak. As for the rope bonded to her wrist had a silver lining all over the cloth, which made the wolf vulnerable since silver was the werewolf’s drawback.
Rosina stayed still and decided to continue her journey. She knew she could break the carriage and kill all the enemies surrounding her, but she chose to stay.
’This looks exciting," Rosina thought, and her body shivered. She had been living quite a boring life when she married Draco, and she had yearned for some adventure, and her being abducted was an adventure she awaited the most.
The only concern Rosina had in mind was Silvio since he needed to report Rosina’s missing, and it would also affect his job since he was supposed to guard her and keep her safe.
’I wonder what Draco will do when he know what happened to me,’ Rosina thought before making her body limp when the boss got closer to the carriage to check the other she-wolves.
Rosina had thought about what Draco would do once he learned that she was missing and would probably be missing for a few days or weeks. Depending on if the scenarios got interesting.
