Chapter 88: The Apology

The next day, Rosina was pacing back and forth in her room. She could go back home late last night, but she worried about whether or not Draco knew about her identity since he had seen her.

A knock disturbed her thoughts. It was Fina, and Sal helped her dress up.

"What’s the plan today?" Rosina asked since she wasn’t able to look at the schedules herself.

"Oh, Your Highness," Sal exclaimed, pushing the cart inside the room. It was full of letters in different colors.

"What are those?" Rosina asked since she didn’t want to read each letter when her brain was still aching from overthinking last night.

"These are the letters from the nobles. They were inviting you to visit their pack, and some were invitations to a tea party," Fina answered with a massive smile before giving one of the letters to Rosina.

Rosina smelled a strawberry scent from the letter itself, which interested her, but when she saw the content. She automatically rejected it.

"What is it, Your Highness"? Sal asked and tilted her head to know why Rosina rejected the invitation.

"Ugh," Rosina groaned and turned her back. The invitation consisted of her attending a noble wedding, which she despised.

"Cancel all of them," Rosina stated, gesturing to Sal and Fina away since she wanted to be alone.

"Your Highness, your husband, Prince Draco, was waiting for you in the dining room," Fina notified Rosina to know and for her to start dressing up.

Rosina froze and turned back. She didn’t say a word and went to the bathroom to start doing her day.

’I wonder what he will talk about,’ Rosina thought as she went down the stairs and saw Silvio waiting for her below. His eyes showed worry and care.

"Your Highness, good morning," Silvio greeted with a bow.

"Good morning, Sir Silvio," Rosina stated with a soft smile and walked in front of Silvio while he followed behind her.

"Your Highness, can I ask you something?" Silvio asked timidly. His voice showed hesitation to ask.

"What is it?" Rosina replied and stopped walking. She looked back at him with a broad set of eyes since she was also in a hurry to enter the dining room.

"I haven’t seen you since yesterday. I would like to ask where you go, Your Highness," Silvio asked timidly and saw Rosina’s disbelief facial expression, making him take back his words. He didn’t want to upset Rosina or step outside the boundary they had with each other.

"I apologize for my question, Your Highness. I am worried that you might endanger yourself, especially since you are now married to Prince Draco," Silvio stated and bowed again sincerely.

"I understand, but you don’t need to worry about me. Let’s talk privately soon, but for now, I have other matters to discuss," Rosina stated with a smile before walking toward the dining room, where Draco was seated in his usual seat.

"Hello darling, how are you?" Draco stated as soon as he saw Rosina enter the door.

Rosina didn’t answer him and sat on the opposite side. She looked him dead in the eyes without any facial expression.

"I see. You’re still mad," Draco chuckled and flicked his fingers. Everyone in the dining room left, and only the two of them were the only ones that stayed in the room.

Draco proceeded to flick his fingers again, and the dining room door opened. Ferro dragged Mari inside and made her stand behind Rosina.

Rosina didn’t look back since she already knew from the scent she excreted. Thinking about her made Rosina’s mind start to get pissed.

"Tell my dear Rosina what happened yesterday," Draco stated and gestured to Mari to talk to Rosina.

"W-we didn’t have sex, Your Highness," Mari stuttered, knelt beside Rosina, and knelt down on the floor. "P-prince Draco left me in the cabin after you left. N-nothing happened, Princess. I swear with all my soul to the Moon Goddess!"

Rosina inhaled sharply and tried to relax her muscles since she might kick Draco in the gut. "I understand. Then I hope you will find your mate to f^ck with."

"Thank you, Your Highness," Mari stated and kept on bowing since she felt grateful that Rosina was able to stop her from making a mistake that she would regret after the pleasure and deed were over.

Rosina nodded at Mari as she went outside the dining room with all smiles.

"I’m not that bad of a person even though you had crossed the conditions of our contract. I will overlook this one time, but I don’t want you to interfere with what I’m doing since I’m giving you much freedom you want, and my name as your husband was enough to make you safe," Draco stated after inhaling the soft aroma of the coffee in his cup.

Rosina scoffed and had the urge to roll her eyes, but she knew Draco was right. She had crossed the contract line that she had put the condition to be included. She didn’t think that it would backfire on her.

Draco smiled. Even though Rosina didn’t answer, he knew that he had cleared what was troubling both of them. He was frustrated yesterday since Rosina ran away with no trace and since she had no physical scent. It was hard to locate her location, and he ended up letting her go.

Draco let Mari go back that day since she cried so much, blaming herself for ruining a marriage, but he didn’t care. He was annoyed by her, which made him take back his words of bringing Mari with them to the 13th pack’s location.

"Also, I met someone from last night," Draco added as he ate eggs. His eyes gazed at Rosina to see any hint that it was her, but she had none. Rosina’s face looked uninterested and bored from talking to him.

When Rosina didn’t answer. Draco continued since he felt that he needed to give context to what happened last night.

"There has been an incident as well from Heaven’s tavern. A place where we go, and I f^cked Maura. They had found a corpse inside one of the free rooms. His body looked mummified, with the muscle and skin stuck to the bone. He had a weird facial expression like he was sucked up dry," Drac continued and thought about what he had witnessed yesterday.

"At first, I thought it was you since you killed a wolf with the same outcome before, but I saw another wolf- a woman," Draco looked into Rosina’s eyes, but she was avoiding his gaze and focused on the food on her table.

"I’m sure that she was the one who had killed that man since I noticed her standing on the side, and later on, she took a peek inside. Her facial expression didn’t even look surprised or shocked from the corpse," Draco stated with a furrowed eyebrow. He clearly remembered the other version of Rosina since he had found her hot and attractive. He wanted to taste her.

Rosina tried her best to keep a straight face. She had always known that Draco had a strong sense of observation that he would catch something so minor.

"I tried to talk to her, but she was cold and distant. She even lied that she wasn’t the one who had killed that poor man," Draco shrugged since he didn’t care about them.

"Then she vanished. I wanted to ask her out and get to know her more, but I can’t keep her for long," Draco sighed deeply. He had always wanted to f^ck the ladies that caught his attention. He didn’t care if the lady was married or had a fiance waiting for her back home.

Rosina stopped moving her fork and faced Draco with disappointment in her eyes. "If you want to get f^cked. Then go f^cked. You don’t need to tell me about it."

Draco chuckled loudly. "I’m just telling you that someone here living in the Sabrecrown pack and killing a similar way as you do."

"Are you saying that it might be me?" Rosina asked and crossed her arms. She looked at Draco with squinted eyes while he laughed.

"No, she looked completely different than you," Draco answered, which gave relief to Rosina’s mind about that matter.

"Okay," Rosina answered and shrugged. Since Draco wasn’t suspicious of her, she was fine with it. After all, Draco was one of the wolves around that she couldn’t kill since his presence was needed for her to move.

’I’ll kill this man after the contract ends,’ Rosina thought and gave Draco a wide smile. She had initially thought of running away after their marriage contract ended, but currently, she wanted to kill them all after she left. All those she hated.

"So, I guess we are good," Draco stated and leaned back on the chair. He wanted to know if Rosina was still furious at his actions. He didn’t care much in the first place, but he needed her for a while.
