Chapter 76: The Ball Cutting

Chapter 76: The Ball Cutting

Rosina strutted toward the area in a bright red gown. Her steps echoed on the tiled floor and gathered everyone’s attention. Her dominant aura radiated off her body as she looked at everyone’s figure.

The knights stood still and started lining up as Rosina stood in front of the table prepared in advance for her. They started measuring Rosina’s dominance and strength, but she didn’t have her own body scent. They began to get confused.

Ferro was standing at the side and spread the applications in front of Rosina. She picked the first four on the list and gestured for Ferro to announce the names.

"Everyone, listen up. I will call the participants’ names, and you’ll step in front and duel with one another," Ferro stated, and everyone started murmuring their opinion. A hand raised in front of the crowd.

"Lady, I have a question," the man said and stepped forward.

"Go on," Rosina stated nonchalantly.

"Lady, I don’t understand the meaning of competing with one another to become your personal guard. You should pick someone from a stronger pack, Lady Rosina," the man said with a proud smile. His sentence had a bad reaction from several knights from the lower pack.

Rosina tilted her head and gazed at the man. He was tall and had a muscular build that everyone would fear to oppose, but she didn’t feel anything rather than annoyance.

"Tell me your name," Rosina stated without looking at the application in front of her since she didn’t want to put more effort into knowing the man.

"I’m Calogero Ossani, a knight from Shadowclaw pack!" Calogero boosted with pride and made his chest bigger.

"Shadowclaw, hmm," Rosina hummed and remembered that it was the 4th rank pack in the werewolf realm, but that didn’t concern her. "Ferro, do all of the applicants come from nobility?"

"Yes, Lady Rosina," Ferro whispered and looked at Rosina’s troubled expression.

"I see," Rosina knew that a knight had to be born of nobility, but she didn’t

want one since the mindset was different compared to commoners. "Ferro, please create a poster and spread the news outside for everyone to see."

Ferro looked at Rosina, but he didn’t question her decision. "Yes, Lady Rosina."

"Ha, Lady, are you considering letting a commoner participate?" Calogero exclaimed in shock. His ego was hurt that Rosina wanted the peasants to participate with them.

"Yes, is there a problem?" Rosina asked and crossed her arms. She looked at Calogero straight into his eyes and wasn’t afraid if it would look like she was challenging his dominance.

"Only those knights born in nobility can participate to become a royal’s personal guard!" Calogero pressed further. His voice rose disrespectfully.

Rosina scoffed at him. She felt he was treating her like a child without the knowledge of how the world revolved.

"Sir Calogero Ossani, it is indeed true that knights needed to be born in the line of nobility, but in some cases, a commoner can also be one. I don’t care about bloodline, but the skill they have," Rosina stated without pause. Her voice was firm and held authority, which displeased several knights from the upper-class pack.

Rosina saw several displeased faces in the crowd, but she didn’t care. "If anyone of you objects to what I said or didn’t like how I do things my way. You’re free to leave."

"Wh-what!?" Calogero exclaimed with disbelief, especially when Rosina looked at him while she said those words. He felt that it was directed at him.

"Tsk! You’re just a low-born noble," Calogero spat in front of Rosina. It was a sign of disrespect and insulted her status.

Everyone was shocked at Calogero’s behavior toward the future Princess, but they didn’t do anything. They were frightened that Calogero’s anger would shift on them. Although several wolves walked in front to stop Calogero, but Rosina stood from her seat.

Rosina didn’t say a single word. She kept her gaze locked in Calogero’s eyes. Everyone stepped back to give space for Rosina; they felt the immense aura radiating from Rosina’s body. Although they couldn’t smell the scent.

"What are you going to do, Lady? I heard you’re a weak she-wolf that can’t even survive in the forest alone— " Calogero stated with a mocking laugh. He wanted to see her cry like a child and ask someone to protect her, but something happened before he could finish his sentence.

Rosina glanced at the knight near her. She grabbed his sword swiftly and glided the blade toward Calogero’s neck; since he was a huge man, his movement was relatively slow than usual, which made him unable to dodge Rosina’s attack.

The blade was able to scratch Calogero’s neck and caused blood to drip from the wound.

"Why did you step back?" Rosina asked while her head tilted. Her eyes were looking at her in a deadpan expression. Although her actions were intended to kill Calogero. Nobody dared to stop her. Even Ferro, who was shocked by her actions, stood still.

Everyone started backing away, creating a big circle for Rosina and Calogero’s duel.

"Hah! Do you think you can beat me— " Calogero couldn’t continue his words when Rosina started swinging the sword, and her eyes were glowing with bloodlust.

Rosina wanted Calogero’s blood spilled on her hands. She didn’t care whether she would be punished for killing a noble in broad daylight. All her brain thought was the words Calogero stated, and it repeated like a broken record in her thoughts.

Calogero gritted his teeth. He wasn’t going to back down just because her opponent was a she-wolf with noble blood and higher status. He took out his sword and was ready to fight.

Rosina didn’t waste time before she launched an attack toward Calogero with her left eye started glowing, but instead of wielding the sword. She bent down and aimed to slide between Calogero’s legs to cut his c0ck.

"What the— " Calogero’s eyes widened when he saw what Rosina aimed for, but before he could jump back. Rosina could cut the fabric and reach his balls, slashing the flesh, but it wasn’t enough to cut it whole.

"Ahhh!" Calogero screamed so loud while holding his private part. The veins in his eyes were throbbing from the pressure in his balls. He tried to heal the wound, but it was too much for him.

Calogero’s golden pants were coated with his blood. He couldn’t stand up and run to the healers since the pain would increase due to the movement.

Rosina walked back in front of Calogero with the sword in her hands. It had the tint of his blood. She lifted her foot and placed it on top of Calogero’s head, pressuring him to bow down on her.

"You’re trash. You don’t deserve to give seeds to a womb," Rosina muttered before kicking Calogero’s head to the side, which caused him to nearly go unconscious.

"Take him away," Rosina stated firmly and looked at the other knights, who looked frightened while some admired her bravery.

Several knights took Calogero’s body to the healers and helped him recover his balls.

"Thank you," Rosina stated and walked to the sword owner, who was hesitant to take it back. She went to the table and sighed deeply. "Are the posters done?"

"Y-yes, the servants were already distributing them in the city. It won’t take long before they arrive," Ferro whispered while Rosina nodded with satisfaction.

"Then, before they arrive, let’s start with this," Rosina stated and ushered Ferro to start the duel as she watched on the sideline to see who was skillful, but most of all. Someone who could make her wet.

An hour went by, and the pile of applications started to vanish. Some gave up and left the arena; some were decent, but the skill couldn’t satisfy Rosina.

At the same time, gossip started to form and spread in the Palace walls. That the future Princess was a psychopath, baby killer, and man-hater. Calogero’s insults about Rosina were thrown into dust and vanished in thin air since they covered it up and made it into Rosina’s fault.

Rosina’s sensitive hearing caught a glimpse of what the servants were talking about, and their stares irritated her, but she didn’t give a f*ck.

Especially since the commoners started filling the arena with their swords and were waiting for Rosina’s cue to start.

"Lady Rosina, are you sure of this?" Ferro whispered with cold sweat. He didn’t like the idea of having a commoner become Rosina’s personal guard.

"Yes," Rosina answered firmly and gazed at the commoners individually. She stood up and cleared her throat.

"Everyone, welcome to the area. To start the competition for my personal guard spot. I want you all to drop your swords," Rosina stated with a wide smile. The commoners were confused since they thought they would duel one another.

"Instead, I want everyone to fight in their wolf form," Rosina added, surprising everyone with her unexpected request since using a wolf form died centuries ago.
