Alpha's Bite Between My Legs
Chapter 72: The Red Helmet

Chapter 72: The Red Helmet

The next day, the news about the case spread like wildfire in the Werewolf realm. Everyone had their own opinion, but since there was no punishment between the two. The topic died down faster than expected.

People only loved to gossip when the result was intriguing and worth the interest, but if there was peace, it was deemed as a dull and bland topic to talk about.

Currently, Rosina watched Felissa packing her bags. "Are you really going now? It hasn’t even been three days."

"Y-yes, I can’t ignore the letters from my parents," Felissa sighed deeply and looked at the letters that arrived that morning. It was from her mother, Renata Nucci, Luna of the Midnight pack. She told Felissa to return home after they caught up with the news regarding the recent case of Luigi and Dona.

"It’s fine, but don’t forget my offer. I still want you to become my Lady-in-waiting," Rosina stated and caressed Felissa’s cheeks. "It’s a pity I won’t be able to enjoy your presence here due to all these commotions, but I’m glad you’re doing okay."

"Huh?" Felissa tilted her head since she had no idea what Rosina was saying, but she thought it was about their blooming friendship. "Me too. We didn’t get to enjoy ourselves and go shopping together, but most of all. I wanted to attend your wedding."

"Wedding?" Rosina tilted her head since she had forgotten her own wedding date. She was having a cold sweat and forced herself to smile. "Oh, I want you there too, but we are having a private wedding."

"Oh, It would be nice if the wedding is big and public, but I won’t judge what you want privacy. Royalty is messy after all," Felissa stated with a giggle.

"Yeah, thank you, Felissa," Rosina pulled Felissa into a tight hug and kissed her in the cheeks.

Felissa squealed upon the contact, and her face turned red. She was flustered and shocked at Rosina’s actions. "R-rosina."

Rosina held Felissa’s face and pulled her closer. Their lips were inches apart, and they could smell each other’s scent. She could see Felissa’s eyes swirling around, which she found adorable.

"I’ll see you off," Rosina giggled before taking a step back to give Felissa some space to breathe.

Felissa’s knees felt like jelly as she fell to the ground. "R-rosina... You smell good. It’s i-intoxicating."

"Thank you," Rosina smiled and lifted Felissa, helping her regain her balance before they packed her remaining stuff.

The male servants arrived, took Felissa’s belongings, and put them on the carriage.

"I’ll send a letter once I get home," Felissa stated and was about to go when she flinched. "Ah, I forgot something!"

"What is it?" Rosina asked and watched Felissa scrambling in her bag.

"Here, this is my wedding gift for you. I hope you will like it," Felissa said shyly, extending her hand. She was holding a pink box with a white ribbon.

"Thank you, Felissa. I appreciate it," Rosina stated and took the box from her. She opened it to reveal a necklace in a crescent moon shape. "It’s beautiful."

Felissa giggled and showed Rosina the necklace she was wearing. It was a small moon pendant. She took Rosina’s necklace and placed it next to her. The charm stuck to one another and created a new pendant. "This is a friendship necklace."

Rosina’s cold-hearted heart was swarmed with butterflies while looking at the necklace. It was the first time she had seen something like that since she didn’t care about jewels or pay attention to them.

"Here," Felissa gave back the other piece to Rosina with a chirp. "Don’t forget me."

"I won’t. I will treasure this," Rosina stated and watched Felissa get inside her carriage. She waved at Felissa goodbye and sighed deeply when the carriage was out of sight. "I will miss her."

Rosina was slightly disappointed at the outcome of her time with Felissa. She had always wanted to taste Felissa’s lips again and the heat of her body against hers.

As for Draco, he had hopped out early in the morning to do his chores that Rosina didn’t know about but didn’t want to ask about.

"Ferro," Rosina called the residence butler.

"Yes, Lady Rosina?" Ferro stated with a bow in response to her.

"When is my wedding scheduled?" Rosina stated and looked at Ferro’s confused expression before he took and opened his notes.

"That would be three days from now on," Ferro answered. "But the plan isn’t completed yet since the third Prince didn’t notify me with additional information."

"I see. Please inform me when it’s done," Rosina stated nonchalantly and walked to her room. After closing the door, she slid down on the floor. She felt her chest tightening for unknown reasons.

"Wh-what’s happening?" Rosina whispered and grasped her chest, but her head started aching terribly.

"Ah! stop!" Rosina screamed in pain and grasped her head tightly, aggressively pulling out the hair ornaments and throwing them on the floor.

Rosina started pulling her hair to stop the pain she felt, but it had gotten worse. "S-stop this!"

Multiple images bombarded her mind that she couldn’t stop. These memories she tried to suppress and forget years ago came back like a storm.

Rosina started crying while squinting her eyes tightly. She didn’t want to receive the memories that came back. She wanted them buried into the deepest part of her. The part where she tried to forget.

"P-please..." Rosina whispered while curling up in a small ball to comfort herself and continued crying.

A knock was heard from the door that had gotten Rosina’s attention. She ignored it, but the knock continued.

"Ye-yes?" Rosina answered while wiping her tears. The pain was still there, but she tried her best to ignore it since someone was calling for her.

"Lady Rosina, someone requests your presence," Fina whispered softly and waited for Rosina’s answer.

***

Rosina took a deep breath while looking outside the window. She was still in pain but did her best to tame it down. Her wolf was trying to take away several of the pain to ease her human body.

A knock echoed and the door opened with Fina at the side. She bowed down and gestured for the visitor to come inside.

A man dressed in a plain shirt and pants went inside the room timidly. He was hesitant at first since he was in a noblewoman’s room. Initially, visitors often stayed in the living room or garden and waited for the host to arrive.

"La-lady," the man stated and knelt on one knee on the floor. "I’m Silvio Locatello, the red rider back on the racetrack."

"Ah," Rosina turned around and faced the man. She smiled and walked closer in tiny steps since she felt the floor was shaking. "I see. You did well back there."

"Lady, it was out of my worth to come here and talk to you, but I came here to give you this," Silvio stated and took out the red helmet he was wearing back in the race.

"Why would you give me this helmet?" Rosina asked. She knew that the helmet might be a valuable item to Silvio and for him to give it to her didn’t sit well with her.

"Because you’re the only one who thought I could do it," Silvio stated with a smile. His cheeks had a pink hue after he said those words. "When everyone was looking down on me. You’re the only one who cheered me up. I’m happy."

Silvio remembered the time when he first saw Rosina on the bench, clapping for him. He felt that she was the light of his dark world where everyone was pulling him down.

"That’s great," Rosina stated and sat down on the floor to match Silvio’s head.

"Thank you, Lady— Ack!" Silvio was shocked. When he looked up and saw that Rosina’s face was an inch closer to him. He fell into his b*tt and was looking at Rosina with trembling eyes.

Rosina was breathing terribly, and her clothes were drenched with sweat. The pain she felt was getting more robust, and her body yielded to the emotion she felt.

"L-lady, are you okay?" Silvio exclaimed with worry and was about to hold Rosina’s shoulder and help her stand up, but he got scared of touching a noble.

"It hurts..." Rosina whispered and grasped her chest. She wanted to remove the corset she was wearing, blocking her regular breathing pattern.

"L-lady! I will call for help!" Silvio stood up, opened the door aggressively, and called for any servant around for help.

Fina heard the calling, rushed toward the source, and saw Silvio’s frightened facial expression.

"The L-lady!" Silvio exclaimed and opened the door wider for Fina to enter the room.

"What happened?" Fina asked and tried to assist Rosina, but she was ignored.

"I don’t know. S-she became ill after a few minutes of standing," Silvio explained with panic. He was frightened that he would be blamed for what happened to Rosina.
