Chapter 62: The Birth Mother
"He-help me!" Luigi cried out in pain as he collapsed to the ground. His wolf was trying its best to heal his wounds, but the cuts were deep and numerous.
Several men ran in his direction and offered to help him. They gave him a cloth to cover his naked body against the cold.
"What a sight," Draco stated in shock, and his eyes glanced at Rosina. A smile crept into his face, and he leaned closer to her and whispered. "Whoever does that had a wonderful talent in art."
"Oh, really?" Rosina chuckled as she shook her head and went back to stare at Luigi’s form, which was trembling.
The werewolves were asking him where he came from and what had happened. All ears of the crowd focused on him and what he was about to say. This issue could be a warning or a sign of a rogue attack on the pack.
"I woke up from the forest, but I don’t remember or have any memory of what happened to me. When my eyes opened, all I could see was blood, and the pain in my body was everywhere," Luigi explained and showed his arm full of cuts. Some were healed while others were still bleeding.
"Call the Sentinels!" a man yelled at the other male wolves, and they ran to call me Sentinels to disclose the information they had gotten from Luigi. The crowd’s murmurs began gossiping about what Luigi had expressed.
The Sentinels ensured the pack’s safety by patrolling the territory and watching the movements of the surroundings. They were to make sure that no intruders entered the clearing.
They secure that the pack members keep themselves out of trouble, which means no fights between visiting werewolves or other pack members, warning them of the rules.
After the warning, the Sentinel may penalize continual aggressiveness or provoke werewolves out of the pack. If this happens, they must report and inform their leaders about what has occurred.
"Who do you think has done such cruelty to that man?" Draco whispered with a knowing smile.
"Who knows?" Rosina looked at Draco before turning back and going inside the tavern. She knew that Draco had a hint that she was the one who did it.
Draco chuckled and followed Rosina back inside, and they sat on the stool at the counter. They ordered drinks, and Draco paid for the Heaven drink he ordered, plus the tip for Maura’s performance.
After a few minutes, Maura came out of the room and went to the counter to continue her job. She already took a bath and cleaned herself, but the smell of Draco’s c^m was still evident in her body since it was too strong.
Maura’s eyes glanced towards Draco and Rosina sitting together. Her eyes widened as she thought that they had left the tavern. Her cheeks flushed pink when she remembered how Draco violated her body, and Rosina was the sidekick.
Maura went to the counter and took her tip and salary before proceeding to the dance floor, where a pole was fixed, surrounded by men.
"She’s really a beauty," Draco commented and watched Maura start dancing.
"She is," Rosina agreed and nodded her head. She thought Draco would forget the incident with the man outside the tavern, but she was wrong.
"So tell me, how did you do it? I want to hear everything you have done in detail," Draco leaned closer and whispered to Rosina. His breath fanned over her skin.
"What do you mean? I don’t understand what you are saying," Rosina leaned back and instantly looked at Draco. She flattered her eyes like a little girl who had no idea how the world revolves.
Draco couldn’t help but laugh at what Rosina had stated. He already alluded that she had done such cruelty to the man outside the tavern.
"I didn’t say anything yet," Draco smirked at her. He might also be a killer and murder his enemies. He painted his hand with multiple types of blood, but he was still amazed at Rosina’s techniques and how he wanted to learn and get ideas from her.
"Yes, you’re an innocent fine young lady," Draco stated with a sweet voice and offered Rosina a drink, but she refused.
"The servants might be waiting for us since we have been gone for long. We should go back now," Rosina finished her glass before standing up and paying the price for both her and Draco’s drink.
"Oh, come on! We are just starting to get drunk," Draco stated and wanted Rosina to stay, but he was dragged by her outside. Treating him as if he wasn’t a prince.
Outside, the Sentinels had arrived, and they were looking over Luigi’s body, asking him questions.
Rosina glanced at them but continued walking. That was when Luigi stared into her eyes. Her heartbeat became ragged, thinking that her power might not affect Luigi’s mind entirely, and she was concerned that he would give her name to the Sentinels.
But then Luigi shifted his eyes and continued speaking to the Sentinel. He was also confused at his emotion since when he saw Rosina, something sparked inside him. The feeling of extreme fear, but he didn’t know why so he shrugged it off.
"His wounds are starting to heal quickly. His wolf might be strong in terms of healing its body," Draco commented and stared at the minor cuts on Luigi’s face that had structures of flowers, leaves, and vines. He pulled Rosina back to stop her from walking away. "We should hear what he was talking about."
"I didn’t know you like to gossip," Rosina stated and shrugged her arms away from Dracos’ grasp.
"It’s more like I wanted to know what he experienced after that torture," Draco smiled evilly and grabbed her arm again, pulling her closer to the crowd, who was also listening to Luigi’s statement.
Rosina sighed deeply. "I will tell you everything later. Let’s go back."

They were walking to the Palace; Rosina was telling everything to Draco from the beginning until the end about how she enjoyed her time with Luigi.
"That was sick," Draco stated with a laugh. He enjoyed his time with Rosina. "And now I wanted to try it."
"Who do you want to kill? " Rosina stated and looked at Draco with a glare. She didn’t mind if Draco went out and murdered someone, but somehow she didn’t want to feel like he was influencing him to do negatively.
"My dear Rosina, I’m a Prince, second to the crown after Gastone. Do you think that my life has been peaceful? I must live while looking at my back in case someone would stab me. I’m a threat to Gastone’s crown," Draco explained, and his face became serious, but Rosina could see the hint of sadness in his eyes.
"But do you want the crown?" Rosina asked. She never thought Draco was interested in becoming the next King due to his playful attitude.
"I’m not interested. Having the crown on my head means a lot of responsibilities, and I would be throwing my hobbies away. I don’t like that happening. My brother could have the crown to himself, and he knows I have no interest," Draco muttered and gave Rosina a smile.
They currently arrived at the Palace walls, and both of them stared at each other. Rosina stepped back and acted like she never had gone to the area.
"Aren’t we supposed to enter through the Palace gate?" Rosina asked and made a facial expression that showed confusion.
"We can, but they might get suspicious if we arrived this late with an earlier incident. Those Sentinels will report to the Monarchs, and I don’t want us to be involved," Draco stated and tapped on the wall. He was looking at something on the wall.
Rosina thought he was looking at a boulder that was used to hide the hole in the wall, but to her surprise, Draco pushed an uneven brick attached to the upper corner.
The wall vibrated for a few seconds. Draco glanced at Rosina before pushing the wall inside like a door.
"Interesting," Rosina muttered in awe.
"I secretly built this so that I can come and go anytime I want without the eyes of the Queen looking at me," Draco gestured to Rosina to follow him inside. The location was on Draco’s property few meters away from the boulder.
"Your mother must be very concerned about your well-being," Rosina stated since she could understand the Queen’s concern if Draco was acting carefree and a lady’s man with his royal status.
Draco stopped and turned back to Rosina. "She’s not my mother."
"What?" Rosina was baffled at what Draco said. She never expected that the Queen was not his birth mother.
"The Queen monitored my movements and set up spies in my residence to find even a tiny bit of matter that could bring me down. She had done it multiple times, and she knew that I was aware of her intentions, but that doesn’t mean that she would stop," Draco stated with a tired laugh.
"And that only made her go further..." Rosina continued, and Draco nodded his head.
