Chapter 57: The Peace Breaker

Chapter 57: The Peace Breaker

The next day, Rosina woke up at 11 am, which gave her a headache from oversleeping. Melania’s appearance destroyed her mood yesterday because she wanted a peaceful afternoon without someone pissing her off.

Rosina wore a yellow pastel gown and strode the stairs. She planned to eat and stay in the library to read about the documentary about murderers, but bad luck was on her side.

"Ouch!" Rosina slipped through the wet floor that the servants had just mopped. She fell with her buttocks first, and pain shots up from her pelvis.

"Lady!" Fina and Sal hurriedly helped her to lift herself. "Are you alright, Lady?"

"I’m fine," Rosina smiled and patted her hands into her dress before moving along. She tried to stay positive as she didn’t want anyone or anything to ruin her day.

Rosina went to the dining room to eat her lunch, and they served her chicken and salad. She didn’t fancy eating vegetables but didn’t complain. She thanked the servers and asked them for milk since she always drinks milk every morning.

"Lady, there’s no milk left in stock, but the servants are currently milking the cows. It might take a while," the servants stated without meeting Rosina’s glaring eyes.

"I see, then it’s fine. I’ll drink one later," Rosina stated sweetly and gestured for the servant to go away.

Rosina forced herself to smile even though her facial muscles were twitching.

’Why doesn’t this residence get their supplies from the Palace itself?’ Rosina thought when she knew Draco’s residents had been living with their own supplies rather than getting one in the Palace.

"I need to get some fresh air in the city," Rosina stated after she was done eating. Fina and Sal nodded and prepared the carriage for her.

Rosina goes outside with a mini umbrella that matches her gown color when she sees another carriage outside the gate.

"Who is that?" Rosina muttered to Ferro, standing beside her and looking at the carriage.

"That’s the Crown Prince’s carriage, Lady Rosina," Ferro muttered calmly and saw how Rosina’s face molded from cheerful to irritated.

"Wow, seems like the days were getting busy now," Rosina commented and put on her best smile. She wanted to enter the residence, but Gastone had already seen her.

’F*ck this!’ Rosina thought before facing Gastone and curtsied in front of him.

"What seems to be your business here, Your Highness?" Rosina said sweetly and gave him the best smile showing her pearly white teeth.

"I would like to see you, Lady Rosina," Gastone stated confidently.

"I would like to decline. My servants and I were going somewhere," Rosina stated without pause. She curtsied at the end of their conversation and was about to return to her carriage, but Gastone stopped her.

"Lady Rosina, why are you not wearing the clothes I bought for you?" Gastone asked. His voice sounded sullen, and his facial expression disapproved of what she was wearing.

Since Rosina was turning her back against Gastone, she rolled her eyes and gritted her teeth before putting on a fake expression before facing him again.

The servants who saw Rosina’s reaction couldn’t help but giggle because even they could see how the Crown Prince was stepping out of line upon pursuing Rosina. Even though she was already engaged to Draco.

"Because I like the gown I am wearing today," Rosina answered. She never wore any of what Gastone bought for her. First, it did not suit her taste, and second, she didn’t want to disrespect Draco, even though they were a fake mate.

"I know what’s good and better for you, Lady Rosina. I wish you at least appreciated my sincerity and affection. It’s all for your own good," Gastone’s voice was rough. He didn’t hide his disappointments and even moved closer to Rosina.

Rosina’s smile dropped. She might be a professional at faking her personality and getting away with it, but she couldn’t suck it all in this time.

"Your Highness, you don’t own me," Rosina whispered and looked at Gastone’s eyes as she emphasized her words to let them sink into his mind.

Rosina saw how Gastone’s mouth twitched, and his face scowled at her, but she didn’t care. After all, she could kill Gastone anytime she wanted him to die, but she didn’t dare since he was Draco’s brother.

"I didn’t say that I own you, Lady Rosina. All I’m saying is for your own well-being. I care for you and the way you present yourself to the public," Gastone replied, but Rosina laughed at his words.

"I believed I already have a fiance to do that job. Why not do that kind of thing to Lady Melania. I’m sure she would appreciate all your gestures and repay you with kindness," Rosina stated with a knowing smile before she curtsied and walked away, but she was stopped by Gastone again.

"Did Lady Melania visit you?" Gastone asked with his eyebrows furrowed together.

"Have a good day, Your Highness," Rosina curtsied and hurriedly went inside her carriage. She didn’t want to answer Gastone since it would only lengthen their conversation.

"Ugh," Rosina groaned as she sat on the chair. In front of her were Sal and Fina, trying to stay silent to not piss Rosina more.

When their carriage passed Gastone’s carriage. Rosina saw how he darted at her through the window and looked unpleasant.

"What do you think about this?" Rosina asked and faced her two servants.

"About what, Lady Rosina?" Sal asked and glanced at Fina.

"The Crown Prince and his motives," Rosina stated and crossed her arms while leaning back.

"Well, it was kinda extreme, knowing you are getting married soon, Lady," Fina stated while deep in thought.

"Yes, it’s like a square," Sal stated and drew a square shape using her fingers.

"What do you mean?" Rosina asked in confusion.

"A square. Your Highnesses, Prince Gastone and Prince Draco, and on the other side is Lady Melania and Lady Rosina!" Sal exclaimed with an innocent, cheerful voice. "It’s like a love square, Lady Rosina."

Fina slapped Sal’s hand and looked at Rosina anxiously. "Don’t mind what Sal had said. She was just a young girl."

"But... We’re the same age," Sal muttered, and both she and Fina stared at one another with a knowing look.

"It’s fine, I don’t mind," Rosina laughed, and somehow, she felt lightened.

They arrived in the city, but they went to the other side where it was less civilized, unlike where she had gone with Gastone before.

"Lady, why did we go here?" Fina asked when she noticed the place. Concern was evident in her voice as she looked at Rosina.

"To enjoy," Rosina smiled and took her umbrella when the carriage stopped. Even though she was wearing a lighter shade of gown, it wasn’t extravagant and looked simple and blended with the crowd.

"Where are we going, Lady Rosina?" Sal whispered and stayed close to Rosina as they walked along the street. Several wolves looked at them but didn’t pay attention since more she-wolves were dressed over the top than them.

"I told you two, we’re going to enjoy ourselves and forget about stress," Rosina muttered and went inside the building that caught her attention. It was a restaurant that sold desserts.

The place looked normal, and there was nothing fancy about it. Rosina sat on the second floor, next to the terrace, to see the people below them.

After a few minutes, a waiter came toward them. He was handsome and had a beautiful smile that Sal had interested in. He placed the menu on the table before leaving.

Rosina let her two servants choose what to eat since she already had something in mind. She looked below and watched the werewolves passing by when her eyes caught something familiar.

’Draco?’ Rosina thought before standing up and leaning on the terrace to look closer. She sniffed the air and smelled his scent, which confirmed that it was indeed Draco.

’What is he doing here? I thought he was in the Palace,’ Rosina questioned in her thoughts before facing her two servants. She wanted to follow Draco but didn’t want Fina and Sal to know since it might be something private.

The waiter arrived and ordered their food, but Rosina asked for a take-out for them to eat at home, which confused Sal and Fina, but they didn’t question Rosina. When the food arrived, Rosina let Fina and Sal enter the carriage.

Rosina sighed deeply while closing her eyes. When she opened them, her left eye was glowing in bright green, which hypnotized them both.

"Go back to the residence and tell Ferro that you two had severe diarrhea and needed to come home and po0p. If he asked about my location, tell him that I need to buy a seedling," Rosina whispered and saw how their eyes turned green as they muttered the exact words that Rosina was saying.

Rosina went down the carriage and looked at the coachman. "Please, deliver those girls back to the residence. I have to do something else."

The coachman nodded his head without question. Rosina knew he could be trusted. After all, he was involved with all the gruesome things she and Draco had done.
