Alpha's Bite Between My Legs
Chapter 530: The Mother

Chapter 530: The Mother

Gastone tapped his fingers on his thigh as he waited for Giselle in the private room. He looked around and found the place gloomy, as if it hadn’t been built to cater to children.

It has been fifteen minutes, but Giselle hasn’t arrived yet.

"Why is she taking so long?" Gastone muttered, getting anxious as the time kept ticking.

However, the door burst open and revealed a familiar scent.

"I can’t believe you personally visited me after vanishing for a long time. Where have you been anyway?" Giselle greeted with a smirk.

Gastone stood and stared at Giselle. His heart was beating so fast as he finally met her again.

"Giselle," Gastone whispered. His throat became dry. "I have something to talk about."

"Please sit," Giselle said, crossing her legs and staring intently at Gastone on the opposite side.

Gastone nodded and sat back. Cold sweat formed on his forehead as he tried to say the sentence he had practiced while waiting earlier, but his tongue froze. He wasn’t nervous before, but he was deep into the enemy’s place, and one wrong move might cost him his life.

’I should not take Giselle lightly if I want her to come with me and return to the Werewolf realm,’ Gastone thought, eyes twitching as he looked at Giselle.

"I always knew we would meet again, but now, you’re scaring me with that look of yours," Giselle chuckled, shaking her head as she noticed Gastone’s anxiousness. "Let’s have some refreshment first, shall we?"

Gastone nodded and watched Giselle flick her fingers. Then, two girls around the age of ten entered the room. They were dressed in a plain brown, old dress without slippers.

"Bring us some tea and cake," Giselle commanded sweetly, which made the two girls nod and leave in a hurry.

"They look... bad," Gastone couldn’t help but comment on the girls’ appearance.

"My apologies. I only dressed those who will be sold at a high price elegantly. Those who are ugly... Well, they don’t deserve good stuff," Giselle shrugged as if what she said was normal.

However, that sentence made Gastone’s mouth hung open. At his time being a Crown Prince before, he didn’t see werewolves dressed that way around the city.

"That’s not a good word to say," Gastone stated firmly. He frowned and showed his distaste towards Giselle.

"Oh my, haha!" Giselle laughed. She leaned forward with a glint in her eyes. "Is this your first time encountering these kinds of stuff?"

"What do you mean?" Gastone asked, furrowing his brows.

"I’m not stupid, Gastone. I know you’re a noble in the werewolf realm by your aura and how you speak and carry yourself. You’re no ordinary wolf," Giselle commented, raising her brow when she saw Gastone’s face hardened.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about, but those living in the poverty line in the werewolf realm aren’t dressed like those two girls," Gastone stated sternly, pointing at the door where the two girls came from.

Giselle sighed deeply. She leaned back and tapped her foot on the floor. "So... you don’t know the other side..." she whispered. Her eyes became soft as she recalled a memory from the past.

"Other side?" Gastone asked, but before Giselle could answer, the door burst open, and the two girls pushed a cart that contained what Giselle had told them to get.

The two girls placed two cups on the table and poured hot tea into them. Then, they put a whole cake in the middle. They were about to leave when Giselle grabbed one of them and slapped her cheek.

"Mo-Mother!" the girl exclaimed in surprise, holding her aching cheek.

"Hey!" Gastone snapped, releasing a low growl to threaten Giselle. However, he was ignored.

"You’re leaving without cutting the cake and serving it to our guests? Did you all forget what I trained you for!?" Giselle shouted, and the two girls flinched in fear.

The girl hurriedly cut the cake, and the other placed another plate before Gastone.

"I-I’m sorry, Sir. Please... forgive us," the first girl whispered with teary eyes as she placed the cake on Gastone’s plate. Her hands were shaking, which made a few crumbs fall.

"Are you really that dumb!?" Giselle’s eyes squinted, raising her hand to slap the girl again, but Gastone stopped her.

"Stop, you’re hurting her," Gastone gripped Giselle’s hand firmly before releasing it when the two girls hurried to leave the room.

Giselle grinned while looking at her reddened arm. "That hurts," she stated, showing her arm. "What if I get injured?"

"Your wolf will heal you," Gastone replied. "Tell me, what do you plan with those two girls?"

Giselle rolled her eyes. "Is this what you want to talk about? I was excited to talk to you, but your topic is boring. It makes me sleepy," she stated while faking a yawn.

"Tell me!" Gastone slammed his palm on the table, causing a loud bang.

Giselle was surprised at Gastone’s response, but instead of getting angry. It made her more interested. She smiled creepily as she leaned forward. "I’ll make them useful by selling their meat and organs. I’m sure the customers were delighted by their fresh, young taste," she said in a mocking whisper.

Gastone’s eyes darkened. He couldn’t believe Giselle said it straight to his face without remorse, as she was even smiling. "Have you lost your mind?" he asked, his eyes never leaving Giselle.

"HAHAHA!" Giselle laughed out loud. She was amused by Gastone’s reaction since she liked making people uncomfortable with her business.

"They’re also people with hopes and dreams... but you treat them like animals!" Gastone continued, fisting his hands while trying to control his emotions from punching Giselle in the face.

"Gastone... Gastone... we are all animals. We’re just more intelligent than others. And a word of advice: you need to dwell yourself more on how the poor world works," Giselle smiled widely, showing her pearly white teeth.

Gastone froze on his spot. His body shivered with disgust and wanted to vomit, but swallowed it all in. "Giselle... aren’t you worried if... your son will know what kind of person you are?"
