Chapter 464: The Company’s Relation

A store in the middle of the city’s busy market finally opened after being closed for months.

Different kinds of flowers were on display and attracted several customers, and the business had been going well.

That morning, the shop opened as usual. A lady began putting the flowers outside for the customers to get interested.

The woman had blond hair and striking honey-colored eyes. She wore a long, plain brown dress that reached her ankles and a pair of sandals. She put an apron around her waist as she began working.

As hours passed by, the customers went in and out with a smile on their faces. They were satisfied with their orders and gave a lot of tips.

Night came in, and the woman closed the store at 9:00 pm. At the entrance, she looked like she was going home, but she turned to a corner, traced back toward her shop and entered the back door.

The shop’s second floor was made into the woman’s own room, but something was hidden at the storage underground.

The woman went downstairs and opened a metal door with a heavy lock. Inside was a ratchet-looking woman dressed in fancy yet tattered clothes.

"Did you miss me?" the woman asked with an evil grin. She walked forward and crouched down in front of another woman tied in metal chains attached to the walls.

The other woman whimpered and tried her best to move away, but it was useless.

The woman grabbed the cloth to let the other woman speak.

"YOU EVIL!" the other woman shouted. Her saliva flies toward the woman’s face.

"Aww, that’s a bad word to say, Babi," the woman replied while wiping her face. She stood up and went to the table on the side that contained several pieces of equipments and sharp weapons.

"Who are you, and why are you doing this!?" Babi screamed in desperation to know why those things happened to her.

Babi trembled remembering how she had been kidnapped, tortured, starved and traumatized. The only thing that kept her alive for the last three days was drinking water with potions to keep her system steady.

"I don’t ask much. If you answer me. I will set you free. That’s all I ask for," the woman stated, sighing in disappointment. She turned around with a small smile while holding a set of needles.

"STOP!" Babi screamed in horror. " HELP! PLEASE HELP ME!"

"HELP! AH! I NEED HELP!" the woman copied Babi’s cry for help as a mock to show that it was ineffective.

"YOU!" Babi gritted her teeth. She leaned back against the wall as she used up most of her energy.

"I told you multiple times no one will hear you," the woman sighed. She was sick of it and wanted her answers.

The woman crouched down and pulled Babi’s right leg, placing the chains on another lock to prevent her from moving. The other leg was flexed.

"What do you think you’re doing!?" Babi whispered aggressively. She tried moving her legs, but it was stuck in extension.

"Answer me, and I won’t hurt you," the woman replied nonchalantly. Her face showed how tired she was to do that in repeat.

"I already told you. I don’t know!" Babi replied sternly. Her eyes glared at the woman before her.

"Let’s cut the chase, alright. I know you’re involved and have information hidden in your pocket," the woman whispered while pulling a single needle. It was so thin and sharp that you couldn’t barely see them.

"I don’t!" Babi shouted, but her eyes shook in fear.

The woman’s eyes squinted, and aimed the needle on Babi’s knee. "Where are the kids that Cassa Orphanage sent to you?" she asked sternly.

"I told you many times. I don’t know that Orphanage and the kids! I’m just a woman wanting to earn money by spreading my legs!" Babi replied. She gritted her teeth in frustration.

The woman’s eyes squinted, disliking Babi’s answer. "You are owned by the underground company known as Bisco. They partnered with Cassa Orphanage and sold young girls and boys. Sounds familiar? After all, you’re also from that Orphanage," the woman explained with a menacing smile.

Babi’s face changed as memories were recalled in her brain. She shook her head aggressively, trying to erase and forget about them.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about!" Babi gritted her teeth in denial.

The woman’s mouth twitched in annoyance, and plunged the needle straight into Babi’s knee.

"AH!!!" Babi screamed. It was painful but not that severe compared to the other ones she had suffered with.

"I will slowly engrave all needles into your knees and make you unable to walk," the woman whispered and added another needle.

Babi’s eyes widened in fear and shock. She could handle the other kinds of pain, but the thought of being unable to walk again brought fear inside her. After all, she wouldn’t be able to work if she was broken.

But Babi was hesitant to open her mouth. She had signed a contract to keep quiet about the company’s business and its relation to others, or she would be sued.

Both pros and cons were weighed by Babi, and the frustration was evident on her face, but the woman didn’t care. She put another needle into Babi’s knee as she remained silent.

"OUCH!" Babi screamed. Her knees were already bleeding.

"I’m not that patient, Babi. Either you gave me an answer, or you suffer," the woman replied. She smiled and wiggled the needles in front of Babi’s face to taunt her.

"I-If I tell you. Are you really letting me out? Or you’re killing me since I saw your face?" Babi whispered while looking at the woman’s eyes, making sure to keep a hold of her appearance.

The woman burst laughing.

"Hahaha! How amusing!" the woman replied. She sat on the floor and made herself comfortable.

"What’s funny?" Babi asked nervously.

"Well, Yes, I am letting you out. I don’t have time to dig a hole and stuff your body elsewhere. About my appearance, let’s say I am confident enough that you won’t recognize me again," the woman replied with a menacing grin.
