Chapter 460: The Flower

Chapter 460: The Flower

Gastone and Jorge remained silent for the past five minutes. They gazed at the moon shining above the sky and enjoyed the cool breeze while listening to the background noises of drunk wolves.

"What do you think I shall do?" Jorge asked nonchalantly. His brain stopped functioning with rational thoughts.

"I don’t know," Gastone replied.

Both men sighed the frustration they felt.

"Can you use your Crown Prince skills on my situation? I kind of need a piece of advice before I can think straight," Jorge muttered flatly. He knew Gastone was trained to make decisions as part of his practicum to become the King.

"Haha! Perhaps you can try getting to know her first before judging her. Maybe she is a good she-wolf. That’s why she’s given to you," Gastone said, trying to lighten the situation.

Gastone was surprised that Jorge asked for his advice. He wasn’t that great at decision-making, as he couldn’t even decide what to do with Lucia.

"Maybe, but I can’t see her as my mate that I would spend the rest of my life with. I will only think about how many men inserted in her hole," Jorge blurted out his thoughts without a pause.

Gastone was taken aback. He saw Jorge as someone who was chill and wouldn’t judge too quickly, but his actions were completely different.

"What do you have in mind?" Gastone asked curiously.

"Hmm," Jorge hummed and sat up. He stared at Gastone and smiled at him. "I’m going to reject her," he added.

Gastone’s eyes widened at how quickly Jorge decided to do such a trivial thing.

"Second-chance mates can come, but sometimes they don’t. You can think about this for the next few days before deciding what to do. This is an essential aspect of your life," Gastone smiled. He patted Jorge’s shoulder to give encouragement before standing up.

"Let’s go back to our rooms. I’m tired," Gastone stated and waited for Jorge to do as well.

It took a while before Jorge stood up. He walked behind Gastone when they heard Navin’s voice screaming at them.

"HEY!!! WAIT FOR ME!" Navin screamed at the top of his lungs. He was carrying two plastics in his hand.

"You’re early," Gastone muttered after Navin caught up with them.

"Ah! The performance ended early. I think the dancer ain’t feeling well, but she’s hot!" Navin complimented with a laugh. He handed the plastics to Gastone and Jorge. "Also, these are your drinks. I paid for it, so I took it with me since you two didn’t take a sip!" he exclaimed.

"I see," Gastone nodded and consumed his juice. He glanced at Jorge, who had lifeless eyes.

"Did you say... she’s hot?" Jorge asked softly. His tone was low, but it had a hint of aggressiveness. It was his wolf getting territorial.

"Yes! Best one so far!" Navin beamed. For him, it was nothing of importance.

Jorge’s eyes went dark, and he was about to move toward Navin when Gastone stood between them.

"I am tired. Let’s get in our rooms immediately," Gastone said sternly. His voice showed dominance as it resonated on his chest.

Jorge stepped back. He took several deep breaths to calm himself. He didn’t know why he acted territorial immediately when he disliked his mate in the first place.

"Okay!" Navin exclaimed and started walking up front. He was a bit drunk, so Gastone didn’t mind it.

Their walk was in silence, except Navin, who was singing.

Gastone went back into his room and immediately slept. He was concerned about Jorge, but it was not his problem since he had his own.

That night, Jorge couldn’t fall asleep as his wolf kept howling inside him to go and mark their mate as theirs.

The following day, Gastone woke up early and went downstairs to eat his breakfast. To his surprise, he saw Jorge sitting by the corner with big bags under his eyes.

Gastone silently went over to Jorge and sat opposite him.

Jorge bowed slightly, recognizing Gastone’s presence, but spoke nothing.

They remained silent until a waitress came to their table. They gave their orders and remained quiet after that.

Jorge sighed deeply. "I thought about what you’ve said last night. I will try to meet her first before deciding what to do. I might need to get a background check on her," he informed.

"That’s good. Maybe you can find the reason why she worked in that tavern in the first place. For sure, she doesn’t want that," Gastone nodded in agreement.

Jorge’s decision sparked a new idea in Gastone that had been forgotten. He was curious why Lucia was skilled in sucking and why she needed a man’s milk to survive since it sounded impossible and ridiculous to have that kind of disease.

They ate in silence until Navin arrived in a hurry.

"Good morning!" Navin exclaimed and bowed his head to Gastone. "I had received a mind-link from the Palace, calling me to return. I will return after," he informed before running outside.

"Hmm," Gastone hummed. He shrugged it off since it wasn’t his business.

"My Lord, how about you? What do you plan with your mate?" Jorge asked curiously. He wanted to take some notes from Gastone as well.

"Well, I’ll go to the human world again," Gastone sighed. He didn’t plan to return immediately, hoping to forget Lucia, but it seemed like fate had other plans.

"Are you willing to work the relationship with her, or you’re waiting for the second-chance mate to come?" Jorge asked. He was trying to compare it to his situation.

"Ah, about that," Gastone sighed. "Well, I haven’t rejected her," he added.

Gastone didn’t want to give much detail since he hadn’t decided yet, but he was sure to meet Lucia again in the human world.

Jorge nodded in understanding. "Can you keep this a secret to Navin? He might misunderstand the whole situation," he explained.

"It’s your decision. We have no say on what you should do," Gastone stated and finished his meal. "I’ll return to my room," he added before leaving.

Gastone went upstairs and lay down. He breathed in and out while trying to enjoy the morning. He had been staring at the ceiling for long until he heard a knock on his door.

Gastone immediately felt how stiff his neck was from staying in the same position. He stood up and stared at the man before him.

"I have a letter from His Majesty to you, My Lord," Navin said and handed Gastone the letter with a royal seal.

Gastone took it and closed the door. He didn’t know why, but he became anxious. He opened it immediately and read its content.

[ If you plan to return to the human world. Give these two tickets to your knights, showing them their dismissal and getting their salary. Best of luck! ]

Gastone smiled. He thought it was another problem, but it was instead a solution. He felt a bit sad that he wouldn’t be able to accompany the two knights with whom he had bonded.

"The earlier, the better, I guess," Gastone sighed and looked outside his window. He could see the busy streets filled with wolves doing their early tasks.

Gastone’s eyes landed on a couple walking with their hands intertwined. Somehow, he felt jealousy washed over them. He wondered when it would happen to him.

"Tsk!" Gastone flicked his tongue in annoyance and started fixing his stuff since he wanted to leave. He knocked on Jorge’s door to inform him of their departure.

"I’ll get my things ready, My Lord," Jorge replied nonchalantly before closing the door. It didn’t take long before he went out.

"Ah, Navin said he was meeting someone in the coffee shop. We can go there and fetch him," Jorge yawned.

Gastone’s brow twitched after hearing those words. He couldn’t believe he would be fetching his knight but agreed.

As they walked to the specific coffee shop. They saw Navin’s face smiling widely, and in front of him was a lady wearing a lovely pink outfit with flowers. Her back was facing Gastone, so he couldn’t see her face.

On the other hand, Jorge stiffened.

"Navin," Gastone called out. He stood between their table and looked at the woman’s face.

"My Lord! I didn’t see you there!" Navin exclaimed in surprise. He was so focused on the woman that his senses ignored Gastone’s scent.

"A Lord?" the woman whispered and stared at Gastone’s face with sparkles in her eyes. After all, she viewed him as a man with money based on his title.

"We are going back home," Gastone stated, ignoring the woman as he had no interest in her. He was also pissed that Navin went out with another girl when he had a girlfriend.

"Okay, let me introduce Megan to you. She is the dancer from last night, and I saw her around the flower shop. So I invited her for a cup of coffee," Navin proudly explained.

Gastone glanced worriedly at Jorge, standing two meters away from them. His body froze on the spot while his eyes showed how dumbfounded he was at how easily his mate went with a stranger who knew her background as a dancer.
