Chapter 447: The Howl of a Wolf
Lucia and Gastone watched in slow motion as his tip was inserted, but before it was fully in, there was a knock on the door.
"My Lord, there’s a letter from the Palace," Navin shouted from the outside, oblivious to what was happening behind closed doors. He didn’t smell the scent of sex due to the tight, enclosed spaces.
Both paused and looked confused before their brain registered what was happening.
Gastone pulled out and hurriedly grabbed a towel to cover himself. "Wait, I’ll be there in a few minutes," he called out.
Lucia panicked. She didn’t want other people to know about her relationship with Gastone, or she would be ashamed.
"I’ll stay hidden here," Lucia whispered while covering herself. She wanted to use the door connecting their rooms, but that would create a sound.
Gastone paused. He stared at Lucia and worried that her scent would be smelled by Navin.
"Put the letter on the floor, Navin. I’ll get it later," Gastone changed his mind for Lucia’s dignity.
"Alright!" Navin replied before dropping the letter and leaving.
Gastone and Lucia sighed in relief. They looked at each other and realized what would have happened if Navin didn’t knock.
Both snapped their heads away with reddened faces.
"I’m sorry. I have said not to touch you, but I did," Gastone said. He rubbed his face in frustration that he couldn’t keep his promise.
"I-it’s okay. I already gave permission beforehand," Lucia replied and looked down.
Gastone sighed while shaking his head in disagreement. Before Lucia could speak, he went out of the room and slammed the door closed.
"G-gastone..." Lucia whispered in despair. She thought she had upset Gastone, but she didn’t know what to say. She gathered her stuff, returned to her room and cried silently at the emotions she couldn’t understand.
On the other hand, Gastone went to the bathroom to shower and to hide the letter from Lucia. He opened it up, and it was the following instructions from Draco.
[ I just remembered that I need to include how to activate the pendant. You must lick it at a place similar to the human world so it won’t look suspicious. Also, why do you suck at wooing your mate? Did your skills depleted? Haha! ]
Gastone’s eyes twitched at what he had read. He crumpled the paper and threw it in the trash.
"That man! He doesn’t know how hard it is!" Gastone gritted his teeth in annoyance. He deemed Draco found it easy to get Rosina since they’re both werewolves, but he didn’t know the whole story.
Gastone stared at his d1ck, which was still hard. He remembered what Lucia told him and failed to give his milk to her. He went to the cabinet, searched for an empty bottle, and cleaned it.
"This is really getting weird," Gastone muttered before playing with himself. It took a while before he c^m and shot it inside the bottle.
After showering, Gastone went straight into Lucia’s room to deliver his milk. He breathed deeply to gather enough strength before knocking.
It wasn’t even two seconds before the door opened, and Lucia looked at him wide-eyed.
"Gastone! You did nothing wrong! I’m fine! I’m not angry at all," Lucia exclaimed without pause. She wanted to make sure that Gastone wouldn’t misunderstand the situation.
"Yes, sure. Of course," Gastone replied with a furrowed brow. He brought out the bottle and handed it to Lucia.
"Tell me what time we’ll go tomorrow," Gastone asked nonchalantly.
Lucia’s breath hitched at thinking it was all going to end. She gripped the bottle tightly and forced a smile.
"Thank you. I’ll cherish this," Lucia replied and stepped back, creating a distance between them. "Maybe... after we have breakfast," she whispered.
"Alright," Gastone replied and left.
After closing the door, Lucia looked up at the ceiling to prevent her tears from falling. She had just finished crying, yet more was still left to shed.
On the other side, Gastone pinched the bridge of his nose. He felt devastated that his mate would finally leave. He faced the door and was about to knock but stopped himself. He didn’t want Lucia to dislike him even more if he forced himself to her.
Gastone left and planned to spend the night running in his wolf form to distract himself.
"Why... why won’t you stop me from leaving?" Lucia whispered as she slumped to the floor. She wanted Gastone to beg her to stay, to stop her from going, but it was all in vain.
Even though Lucia had things to be done in her world, she was willing to stay longer if Gastone begged her since she didn’t want to take back her words said before.
That night, Lucia couldn’t fall asleep. All she could think about was her moment with Gastone and how their bodies heated up from intimacy.
Lucia gazed at the bottle on her bedside table, wondering how Gastone put his milk in there. A smile appeared on her lips while thinking about it. She got up and opened the windows to let the fresh air in.
"The moon is beautiful," Lucia whispered and adoringly stared at the moon. It has been a while since she admired nature after focusing on her day-to-day life problems.
Lucia smiled softly and leaned on the wall. She wanted to remember the place and sketched its image in her brain.
"I’ll just think of this as a vacation," Lucia engulfed a huge sum of air to freshen her lungs. She would surely miss the peace she experienced.
As Lucia was satisfied, she was about to go back to bed when she heard a loud howl of a wolf.
"Huh?" Lucia returned to the window and looked around. She was scared and amazed at the same time. She knew about wolves but had only seen them in books since her city didn’t have a forest for animals to live in.
The forest areas were too far and creepy. Going to places like that would take a ride, and people mostly avoid it.
"Ah, I want to see one!" Lucia exclaimed and leaned for a closer look. However, she could only see thick trees and empty clearings.
"Why will a wolf appear here anyway?" Lucia laughed at her own expectations. That was when her eyes caught something coming out of the dark woods.
A wolf in beige with a brown tail emerged. Its eyes stared directly at Lucia before it howled toward the moon.
