Chapter 44: The Deal of Lust
Rosina woke up with huge bags under her eyes. She couldn’t sleep well last night from scrubbing her flower until the stench was gone, but it made her core numb and swollen.
"Lady Rosina, would you like breakfast here or in the dining room?" Fina asked slowly, making sure not to make Rosina irritated.
"In the dining room, please," Rosina whispered and lifted herself. She didn’t bother to fix herself or change clothes since nobody would see her except the servants.
"Lady!" Sal exclaimed and immediately took a robe and put them on Rosina’s shoulder to cover her bare skin.
They went downstairs, and Rosina smelled Draco’s scent. That made her mood even sourer.
"Good morning, Lady Rosina," Ferro greeted and looked at Rosina’s complexion, which was not good. His eyes went straight to Fina for answers, but she shook her head.
They were worried about Rosina and tried to ask if she was feeling alright, but they ended up getting ignored.
"Ah, Rosina. Good morning," Draco greeted as soon as he saw Rosina’s figure coming from the door.
"Morning," Rosina muttered and didn’t look into Draco’s eyes. She was still pissed at him for making someone accompany her outside.
"Did you have a good night’s sleep, dear?" Draco stated when he noticed the blackened bags under Rosina’s eyes.
"Please, don’t start with that question," Rosina slumped and massaged her temples. She tried to calm herself and not throw the hot milk on her side toward Draco.
"What’s the matter?" Draco stated gently, trying not to piss Rosina more.
"Leave us," Rosina firmly stated, and everyone scrammed outside and closed the door for their complete privacy.
Rosina glared at Draco, took the letter tucked in her underwear, and slammed it on the table. "I asked you to give me permission to go outside and notified my servants to come with me."
"As it should. A noble lady should not go alone in a crowded place since it might cause her harm," Draco stated and tilted his head. He thought that he did an excellent job in the situation.
Rosina groaned and took several deep breaths to calm herself since her anger was rising. "Look here, Prince, we both agreed that we shouldn’t mind each other’s affairs. Let me ask you, can I do my own affairs if a servant is trailing behind my back?"
Draco was silent for a while. He was pouring milk on his coffee in deep thought. "Don’t you trust your servants, Lady Rosina?"
Rosina bit her lips. That question made her feel trapped with the thought of needing to trust someone, especially her secret. She looked at Draco with a deadpan expression.
"Trust is a big word, Prince Draco," Rosina stated firmly with a forced smile. "One should prove that they are worth the trust. After all, many snakes are lurking around."
Draco chuckled and leaned on the table. "But you trusted me."
"Not completely. We gained something from each other. That would be fair to give a little trust, but it doesn’t mean I would give you my full conviction."
"Hmm, that’s good enough. Now, what’s the problem with the permission?" Draco asked with curiosity. Although he already guessed what it is."
"I want to go alone without a companion," Rosina stated and kept eye contact to show that she meant it.
"I apologize, Lady, but I can’t accept that. Palace rules stated that every royal should have a companion whenever they go," Draco looked at Rosina’s eyes with seriousness to show that he couldn’t do anything.
"But, I noticed you had no companion as well, Prince Draco," Rosina replied with a smirk. She knew several palace rules, but that didn’t mean everyone would follow them.
"HA HA!" Draco laughed loudly upon hearing what she stated. "It is indeed true, Lady Rosina, but if the palace knew that a noble and future wife of a Prince such as yourself will leave the palace grounds alone. Gossips will start forming and could affect your name and freedom."
Rosina pursed her lips. She didn’t want to argue anymore, tossing her wants since it was still useless.
"But, there’s one thing that might be suitable for your taste," Draco smirked when that got Rosina’s full attention.
"Speak."
"Be with me. I will accompany you," Draco stood up from his seat and went beside Rosina."
"What advantage will I gain from that, Prince?" Rosina muttered and lifted her head to look at Draco.
"Well, we go out together. I have fun with the ladies while you do what you want, but make sure to come back on time so we can go back together to the palace without suspicion," Draco suggested with a knowing smirk.
Rosina couldn’t help but laugh. She wasn’t surprised that Draco would suggest that kind of thing. After all, that was why he didn’t want a mate, to continue tasting other flowers.
"You liked what I suggested, Lady Rosina?" Draco chuckled and sat next to Rosina’s chair and took some of her bacon.
Rosina looked at Draco with disbelief at his action. "You seemed very comfortable with me."
"I am, and you must be. We will be living together not as mates, but friends. It’s nice to have someone with similarities to hang out with," Draco stated and leaned back comfortably.
"Similarities? I do believe we are different," Rosina smirked. She knew they had something in common, especially the confidence to kill without guilt.
"I do think we have, especially in sexual drive," Draco smirked and leaned toward her with a tease. "You want a c0ck, don’t you?"
"That’s an insulting question to ask," Rosina faced Draco with squinted eyes, but she wasn’t offended.
Draco chuckled. "Accept my suggestion, and we can go out later at night. We could be each other’s wingmen to get a partner and satisfy ourselves with pleasure. What do you say?"
Rosina was silent for a while. She was thinking about the pros and cons of having Draco, but she liked the idea of building a friendship relationship with him rather than being a stranger to one another.
"Deal," Rosina answered and extended her arm. They both shook hands with a smirk playing on their lips.
