Chapter 432: The Time She Lifted Her Skirt
Lucia thought about what Navin had said to her. Somehow, she never considered her own feelings for Gastone as she focused more on the attention he gave her.
"Do I like him?" Lucia asked herself while biting her nails. She was chopping mushrooms as their ingredient for Dinner. She hadn’t seen Gastone after what happened in the bathroom, which worried her.
"I mean... He is not that bad, but not good too!" Lucia exclaimed while rolling her eyes. She continued chopping and didn’t notice that Gastone was standing behind her.
"Who will even like him!? Not me!" Lucia shouted and aggressively slammed the knife on the chopping board. Somehow, she became angry for no reason as she couldn’t understand her emotions.
Gastone remained silent. His shoulders slumped as his energy suddenly depleted. He knew Lucia disliked him, but coming from her mouth broke him.
"It’s okay, you don’t have to force yourself to like me," Gastone stated softly. He was slowly accepting the truth since he wasn’t deeply rooted in Lucia and was thankful for that.
"Huh!?" Lucia turned around and saw Gastone behind her. She nudged the knife accidentally and nearly wounded her, but Gastone was able to catch it.
"Be careful," Gastone said softly, placing the knife on the counter. He had a little cut on his palm, drawing small blood.
"L-let me treat you!" Lucia exclaimed and hurried to find a clean cloth, but Gastone shook his head.
"Don’t worry about it, Lucia," Gastone replied before turning around to leave, but Lucia held his clothes back.
"P-please," Lucia pleaded. She was guilty and wanted to be nice to Gastone after saying mean words to him.
"I’ll be waiting for my meal," Gastone replied, walking ahead while ignoring Lucia. He couldn’t let her see the wound since it was too shallow to stay for long. He opened his palm and saw his wolf already healed it.
"G-gastone," Lucia breathed deeply and wanted to smack herself for openly speaking her thoughts. "Ah! It was nice of him to save and give me shelter, yet I treat him like this!" she exclaimed, pulling her hair in frustration.
Gastone heard what Lucia stated, but he shrugged it off. He went to the opposite side of the house and sat on the balcony while gazing at the fields.
"What a cruel punishment, Moon Goddess," Gastone whispered and looked at the faint Moon shining in the orange sky. He chuckled while shaking his head as he never thought his words went back to bite him straight in the @ss.
Gastone never intended to find his mate due to his situation, but he did unexpectedly and now, he felt that she was only there to hurt him emotionally.
"I-I’m sorry... for what I’ve said earlier. I’m just talking out loud, and I don’t mean any of it—" Lucia tried to reason, but Gastone stopped her.
"You don’t need to explain. I already know you dislike me," Gastone replied nonchalantly. He shifted his gaze back to the Moon as he sighed in sadness.
"I... It’s just that... It’s not my fault for thinking like that!... but like..." Lucia paused as she didn’t know what to say to prevent Gastone from hurting. She felt like she was a terrible person who f^cked herself over if something good happened.
"Forget about it. No need to reason yourself, and it will be terrible if you keep on lying," Gastone snapped since he disliked liars the most.
"I-I’m not! I just want to say that I’m grateful for everything you did for me," Lucia pouted upon seeing that Gastone didn’t listen to her.
Gastone waved his hand to dismiss her. "You will be leaving soon. We don’t need to fix what’s broken," he stated sternly.
Lucia bit her lips. She was frustrated that Gastone showed an uncaring nature. "Then, before I leave. Can I request something?" she asked earnestly.
Gastone sighed and took his pouch that contained his money. "How much do you need? This might be a different currency, but you can sell the gold—" he wasn’t able to continue when Lucia shouted.
"I don’t need money!" Lucia aggressively lifted her long skirt to reveal her legs and underwear. "Look at me!" she screamed.
Gastone’s eyes widened in shock. "What are you doing!? Have you lost your mind!?" he exclaimed and pulled Lucia’s skirt down, but she yanked it up again.
"I said look at it!" Lucia demanded eagerly, and she wouldn’t stop until Gastone followed her.
Gastone closed his eyes and turned away from Lucia.
"I’m not that kind of man. I respect you, so please, respect yourself," Gastone whispered. His mouth hardened to prevent him from grabbing Lucia and f^cked right there on the balcony.
Lucia was tunned at Gastone’s words, and shame washed over her. She felt like a low-valued woman based on how she acted to a man.
"I just want you to look at me like a woman. You always treat me like a child!" Lucia shouted as her true feelings were shown, and she became defensive.
Gastone stood up, glancing at Lucia and sighed in relief that her skirt was down. He raised his hand and placed it on top of her head.
"It’s because I’m much older than you," Gastone smiled softly and patted Lucia.
Somehow, that gesture made Lucia emotional. She felt treated like a kid, but she liked the affection. She unconsciously leaned into Gastone’s body and placed her head on his chest. Tears formed in her eyes as she enjoyed his touch.
Gastone’s brows furrowed, and he wondered what caused Lucia’s actions to be provocative with no self-respect to herself. His thoughts went back to the Orphanage she told him before. He became curious about what her life was before they met.
"Are you alright now?" Gastone asked after noticing that Lucia stopped sobbing. "Don’t think deeply about this. Just do your own thing," he added, gently pushing Lucia before him to look at her face.
"I am fine, but you see. You’re the best milk I’ve ever tasted, and I want more of it! Let me suck you!" Lucia yelled with twinkles in her eyes.
