Chapter 394: The Intimacy

Felissa and Vicenzo stood before the crowd by the next day. News about what had happened to the traitors and their families spread like wildfire toward the Pack members.

Some praised Felissa for her decision to maintain the Pack’s peace, while others argued that the punishment for the traitors was too light. However, those who wanted to turn against the leadership stopped trying since they had nowhere to go or would become a rogue.

Currently, Felissa announced Vicenzo as her mate and the Alpha of the Midnight Pack; even if they weren’t married yet, he would take the role and lead the Pack.

The members looked at Vicenzo and studied his stance, dominance and aura to see if they would have a strong Alpha.

Vicenzo stood tall and flexed his muscles to show his virility. He listened to every word Felissa had stated in her announcement and waited for his turn.

"... and meet my mate, Vicenzo Luro," Felissa stated and glanced at Vicenzo, giving him the stage.

"Thank you, sweety," Vicenzo whispered, kissing Felissa on the cheeks. He wasn’t ashamed of the public intimacy since it was normal for mated wolves.

The crowd raised an eyebrow at what they had seen. Some men disagreed with the affection since it wasn’t mannish in their eyes, while the females giggled.

"Let’s all work together for the betterment of the Pack," Vicenzo stated sternly, letting his dominance spread to the crowd.

They gasped when the pressure thickened and became heavier. Even though Vicenzo only said a few words, they could feel his solidity, unlike Felissa’s father, who had a fragile masculinity.

One by one, they started clapping with hope in their eyes. It also affected Felissa’s reputation since they believed you attract a mate that equals you. That aside suggested Felissa was excellent and robust enough to have a dominant mate.

After the brief introduction, they proceeded to continue the topic of Trials with the participants lining up in front of them inside the Pack House.

There were seven participants left after eight of them were traitors. Their faces weren’t happy with how their experiences affected them physically and mentally.

"Do any of you have something in mind," Felissa asked sincerely while looking at the participants individually.

The participants were silent as they were contemplating what to say. The silence among the group was too loud, making the atmosphere heavy.

"This recent Trial has no winners nor losers since the outcome was unexpected. If any of you want to leave, you may," Vicenzo announced since he knew some wolves were hesitant as their lives were at risk than they had thought.

Three wolves stood up at the same time.

"I would like to leave. I’m sorry, Luna, Alpha, but I can’t risk another Trial," a participant stated before bowing and leaving the room.

"Me too!"

"I’m sorry, Alpha and Luna."

The other two left as well. There were only four participants stayed in the room with a hardened expression.

Felissa and Vicenzo waited for them to say something but remained silent until Guff stood up.

"I’d like to say that I’m already healed, and my body has regained strength. My mate worries about me continuing with these Trials, but I will pursue further as I’ve come this far! HAHA!" Guff stated and laughed loudly. His energy brought warmth into the room.

"Me too! I want to become the Beta!" Luca stood up with determination sketched on his face.

"Huh! Aren’t you too confident!?" Guff faced Luca and stared at him from top to bottom, assessing his strength.

"I believe I have the knowledge and power to become the Alpha’s right hand!" Luca argued. He had prepared himself before the competition started and deemed himself worthy. After all, he had suffered studying and building his muscles in both human and wolf form.

"Hmm, only four of you left, and there are four positions in the Pack. The Beta, Delta, Gamma and Zeta," Vicenzo stated and glanced at Felissa, who was thinking deeply. "What do you think we shall do, sweety?" he asked softly.

The four men tried hard not to react. In their minds, an Alpha was supposed to make decisions, but Vicenzo wanted to hear Felissa’s opinions. Also, they were still new to the public intimacy but didn’t want to react negatively. Aside from that, they were amazed by how Vicenzo was masculine around them but became soft to his mate.

"Naturally, they will fight for the position by duels, but I prefer another way," Felissa stated and stood up. She stared at the four men and observed their statures and actions.

"What’s in your mind, Luna?" Luca asked in curiosity.

"We won’t do any Trials anymore, rather several tests. I’m sorry, but you can’t choose what you want because you desire to be in that position," Felissa stated gently.

"I understand! Haha!" Guff laughed and glanced at Luca. "You need to work well, buddy," he added, winking playfully.

Luca gasped in shock and disliked Guff’s action.

"Ah! I’m going to fail! I’m so dumb!" Elio whispered and clutched his hair while having a mental breakdown.

Natan, on the other hand, was calm and composed. He stared at the birds chirping outside the window and enjoyed the peaceful view.

Felissa and Vicenzo stated at one another since the participant’s attitudes were unique.

"We’ll call you four in the next two days," Felissa stated and clasped her hands together to end the conversation between them.

The four men stood straight and bowed their heads in respect before leaving.

"It’s a good day for us," Vicenzo stated and went behind Felissa. He wrapped his arms around her waist and sniffed the crook of her neck. "You smell so sweet," he whispered.

"Like what?" Felissa replied and tilted her head to the side, letting Vicenzo receive more access to her body.

"Like a sweet Vanilla," Vicenzo replied, burying his nose further. He tightened his hug as if he wanted to suffocate Felissa.

"Oh, really?" Felissa laughed and enjoyed their shared intimacy until she felt something poking behind her back.
