Alpha's Bite Between My Legs
Chapter 391: The Trade

Chapter 391: The Trade

The creature chirped happily and moved its head toward the woman lovingly, but the Knights advanced, making the bird shriek loudly to protect the woman from harm.

"Calm down, everyone!" the woman shouted. Her voice showed authority that even made the creature shrink in fear.

"Please.... I don’t want him to die," Felissa stated calmly. Her energy was depleting and made her dizzy.

"Why should I?" the woman replied nonchalantly. She walked closer to Felissa and growled low.

"Don’t you dare," Vicenzo stepped in front of Felissa to protect her if the woman tried something to harm her.

"Vicenzo..." Felissa whispered and grabbed his shoulder, slowly pushing him to the side.

"It’s my fault. I should take responsibility for my mistakes, Vicenzo. Please let me. We don’t have much time," Felissa whispered. She was losing strength and tried her best to remain strong in front of everyone.

Vicenzo gritted his teeth. He understood and stepped back but remained composed to be ready if something happened.

"I am the one who let these men inside the Labyrinth, thinking it was abandoned," Felissa explained, feeling like she was going to vomit.

Vicenzo’s eyes widened. He didn’t like how Felissa was taking all the blame, and seeing how the woman subdued the gigantic creature in the Labyrinth meant that she was part of it, along with the living statues.

"It was me who disturbed the creature’s nest. I shall take part of the blame," Vicenzo stepped up confidently.

The woman tilted her head and laughed in amusement. Her eyes glanced at Affonso, who was looking unconscious.

"He will die in 10 minutes,’ the woman shared her discovery and made everyone panicked.

"I’ll do everything. Please let him live; cure him!" Felissa exclaimed in desperation, but she could see the woman didn’t care since she had nothing to gain in the first place.

"Felissa..." Vicenzo’s heart was aching upon seeing the forming tears in his mate’s eyes. He glanced at the woman and wondered who she was.

"Are you related to the Emperor?" Vicenzo asked and saw the flinch in the woman’s body. "I will give you my soul in exchange for healing the Alpha of Lightcrest Pack," he added sternly.

The woman smiled and chuckled in delight. "I don’t want your soul, Vicenzo," she stated, looking at Felissa.

"I am willing to trade my soul," Felissa didn’t hesitate to offer herself. She didn’t care as long as Affonso would live to see another day, but what confused her was the woman knew their names.

"I’m not interested in yours either," the woman rolled her eyes under the hood. She lifted her hand ad pointed toward Affonso. "I will heal that one, and I’ll collect the payment when the time comes," she added before a light appeared on her index finger.

The wounds on Affonso’s body closed in seconds, and the bleeding stopped. The Theta immediately used medications to further stabilize the Alpha’s body.

"In the meantime, enjoy your life, Luna Felissa Nucci," the woman stated menacingly. The creature shrieked loudly and flapped its gigantic wings as it flew into the air.

It grabbed the woman’s body before entering the Labyrinth and vanished into the mist.

Everyone was silent as they saw how the Labyrinth’s walls fixed on their own, as if nothing had happened in the first place. Those under the woman’s magic were freed and finally could move again.

"You don’t have to do that for me, Luna," Affonso stated upon sitting up. He was still weak but was able to carry himself.

"No, it’s my responsibility," Felissa replied with a small smile. The adrenaline rush vanished from her system, and she collapsed, but Vicenzo was able to catch her.

Draco wrapped a piece of cloth from the tent and put it around his waist to cover his soft, dangling c0ck.

"Vicenzo, bring Felissa to the Pack House. She’s exhausted," Draco stated and stared at Affonso. He went toward him and checked his wounds.

"That woman...." Draco added with a frown. He was confused among the rest, but they made one thing clear. It was not to mess with the Labyrinth again.

"I will take care of the rest—" Affonso stated and wanted to participate, but Draco shook his head.

"No, you should rest. This matter of event will fall under the Palace’s observation. We need to know who that woman is, her involvement and her intentions. We can’t afford to have another being disrupting the realm’s peace," Draco stated earnestly. He thought about Rosina giving birth to their first pup and wanted to create an environment where she didn’t need to get entangled with the realm’s problems, but it was hard to attain.

Affonso pursed his lips and nodded in agreement. He knew his capabilities and didn’t want to hinder the Palace if he insisted.

"Then, I will leave this place alone and barricade the area to prevent anyone from coming close. To keep the Pack safe," Affonso shared his plan to which Draco agreed.

"Yes, it’s too dangerous," Draco replied, looking at everyone.

"Your Majesty, I have something to say," Vicenzo stepped before Draco while carrying Felissa.

"What is it?" Draco asked with a furrowed eyebrow, but he already sensed it.

Vicenzo opened his mouth to tell Draco about the traitors but stopped. He shook his head and gave Draco a smile. "Oh, never mind. I will take care of it," he stated.

"Sure, go ahead. You can use my Knights," Draco felt proud and let Vicenzo grow on his own.

Vicenzo glanced at Elio and the other wounded Knights that he found familiar, but some of them were missing.

"Sir, there are traitors..." Guff muttered while slowly walking toward Vicenzo. He had a fractured arm and dislocated shoulder, but that didn’t stop him from relaying the information.

Natan was behind Guff and didn’t say a word. He kept staring at Vicenzo and analyzing what kind of person he was. He wanted to know what would their future Alpha do to the enemy.

Vicenzo gritted his teeth and glanced at Felissa in her arms. He debated whether to pursue the enemy or stay at Felissa’s side as her mate.

"I’ll take care of her," Draco approached Vicenzo. He was now fully clothed after ripping his garments upon transformation.

Vicenzo sighed in relief. "Thank you, I’ll be back in a few minutes," he said, handing Felissa. He kissed her forehead before leaving.

Draco nodded and walked back to the makeshift tent for the wolves to rest before returning to the Pack House.

Vicenzo prepared himself and sniffed the air to the traitor’s whereabouts. He was about to leave when he noticed several footsteps following him. He looked behind and saw the other participants following him.

"We want to join you, Alpha!" Luca shouted among the crowd with determination. He hated the traitors so much that his body began trembling.

Vicenzo looked at them and saw their judgment was already decided. He sighed and turned to Guff, who was injured.

"Those who are capable can come with me, but those who need treatment will stay," Vicenzo said and turned his back.

Guff’s eyes widened, and he pointed at himself. He hated the idea that he would stay behind.

"Alpha! I mean.. Sir! I still want to go!" Guff shouted, but he was ignored.

Natan held Guff’s shoulder and slowly pulled him back. "You should rest. Don’t worry, I will take revenge on your part," he stated nonchalantly before moving forward.

Guff blinked a few times and was touched by Natan’s gesture. "Ah, that kid is not cold after all," he muttered while shaking his head in delight. He went back to the camp and got himself treated by a Theta.

Vicenzo crouched down and looked at the footmarks on the ground. "They’re far enough," he growled. He stood up and began removing his clothes and weapon.

"S-sir?" Elio asked in concern upon seeing their naked Alpha.

"The traitors already escaped far enough from the Pack. We need to catch up with them," Vicenzo replied, glancing back at them.

There were currently six men behind Vicenzo, who were wounded, but slowly healing. They looked confused since their instinct told them to chase the traitors by running since that was how it used to be.

Elio opened his mouth to ask more questions but shut up and observed instead.

Vicenzo went on all fours since it has been a while for him. He closed his eyes and transformed into his wolf form. His bones cracked, dislocated and went into a different structure. His muscles changed their size and capabilities, slowly forming his body into a gigantic wolf form.

"Awoo!!!" Vicenzo howled loudly at the night sky. He dug his paws into the ground and felt connected to nature.

The participants hung their mouths in shock. They couldn’t believe their eyes that Vicenzo decided to use his wolf form.

"What a magnificent creature," Luca whispered in amazement as he went closer. It was still rare for someone to transform into their wolf form.

Vicenzo snapped and growled at him. Since they weren’t bonded, they couldn’t use mind-link to communicate. He used his head to gesture to them to follow and started running, but they couldn’t catch up using two limbs.

"Ah! This is too much!" Elio complained after dashing for several minutes. He finally snapped and started removing his clothes. He hadn’t experienced transforming into a wolf before, but he wanted to try it at that moment.
